  1. Sooo fine. Gives me that good old donkey Kong feeling!
  2. I had the set - but I did not have such a great stop-motion review - until now! Thanks!
  3. Don't worry about the interior - the exteriors count in your MOCs! Excellent creations with weird angles - very good!
  4. Excellent MOC, fantastic creation. I admire the large layout and I like the details (the gate, the fountain, ...) Wonderful!
  5. Yepp, that gives me some ideas for some strange MOCs... (strange but cute...)
  6. Beautiful - I like the way in which you did the bow! Superb ship. Makes me want to build a frigate...
  7. Thanks for your edit - this has brought us more great pictures of your fantastic creation!
  8. Fine hall - I must have missed this while I was on vacation.
  9. Wait till you see them in battle! They are cute and they are warm! ... and maybe they contain some magical power which has not been revealed yet....
  10. Clever build. The irregular base has turned out very well.
  11. Thanks to you all, but you should wait until you've seen the gloves in combat action! They are, they are Probably. Maybe he'll reappear in some other MOC and we'll get to know more of him. I tried it, it looked good and then I decided to put this into a little story. I guess he just had a bad day. Spot on! Maybe that was also in that chest.... but he stopped searching when he found the gloves "more to see"? Not really, it is just reuse of an existing building . I just thought that this guy looked great with those rabbit gloves.
  12. Epic! Great build and storyline. Let me name a few highlights: the living quarters (floor!) - the kneeling messenger - the foilage .. and more. Excellent!
  13. Thanks, it's good, isn't it? Be careful. Don't get caged by monkeys. As for the ship's curves, that large brick (curved slope) is really helpful. Thanks (well, background was just background to make the ship look decent) I'll talk to Drake. But as for the waves: I just took a baseplate which still had some old wave attempt on it.
  14. Yes, that was a nice set. But I never had it... I can probably try to build it now, maybe to give it a more modern feel. (And to add a monkey)
  15. In their quest to find ways to fight the Algus, Major Marron and Colonel Upright are allowed to meet Duke Fasel. "Let me do the talking", Upright hissed to Marron. "This is an important audience. This great lord will give us guidance. Don't mess it up." Marron sighed and stayed silent. Upright cleared his throat: "Your highness! Our forces are fighting the terrible Algus. Those icy creatures from the North that have invaded our lands. We are in dire need of support." Duke Fasel looked at them, seemingly gazing at something behind the two men, somewhere in the distance. There was a pause. "This fine leader, this higher being will give us something that will help us crush the Algus", Upright whispered to Major Marron. "Just be quiet. This Duke has higher insights than simple beings like us." Marron sighed and stayed silent. Upright raised his voice again: "Your highness, we, who are not worthy, kindly ask for your help. With all your wisdom, might and courage - grant us help in our battle against the icy deathbringers." Duke Fasel looked at them and then began to speak. Slowly, in a slightly high-pitched voice. "We think that We have something for you that will change your fate in battle." The Duke turned to rummage in a nearby golden chest. "Ah, here they are" "My rabbit gloves. Excellent against the cold. Take them, good man, and win the war for Us. Who was it against, you said?" Marron sighed and stayed silent. In the "Captain Braunsfeld's part of the Algus Saga" you are here: Part 4 1) The Beacon of Bruns Fall 2) Defending the North 3) Southern Comfort 4) Help from a Nobleman 5) Two Minor Victories 6) Water does not stop them! 7) What's that coming over the hill? 8) Where the Rainbow Spell came from 9) AppleCalypse Now!
  16. On a sunny Sunday afternoon, Sir Francis Drake can be found on a boat trip with his younger cousin: Sloop 8A Interestingly - and unaware to Sir Drake - they are using a custom-hull-built-boat. They would soon return to the harbour... .. when they found that they had actually started their journey without any monkey support... Ahoy! (pls. don't comment on the waves. They are just bad and I really wanted to present the ship.)
  17. What a fantastic ship! The shot with water/sky background has turned out extremely well. Custom rigging and custom sails are also excellent!
  18. You're right, that would have been a good improvement. I'll think about this for my next "WIP MOC".
  19. What a lovely kitchen - so realistic. Great Work!
  20. Fine interior - looks good to me!
  21. Thanks - yeah frontpage! Happy that you liked it! Thanks - you are right. Would have been nice. And yes, my islander sets are quite old by now.
  22. So you have learned about my Desert King ranks. It is funny to see that this word of German origin was obviously 100% adopted by the English language. As you can see here (The Algus Saga: The Beacon of Bruns Fall) the lawn is less idyllic in Winter. Did I mention that this set is modular? You could not get to the prison cells in the basement otherwise.
  23. The red buckets came from a polybag set that was a giveaway in the lego store some time back (when they try to comfort you for having spent too much...). I have a few of them .... As you can see in part three of this little story, Samuel Marron has not chosen one of the cartoonish gargoyles but has sticked to the "dragon standard" that is very common in Mitgardia. The monkeys won't let me do that ... :monkey:
  24. You can be very very proud of this. It is a wonderful world in itself. I probably would have posted the airship on its own - in your world this is just a small detail. Excellent.
