I am absolutely certain of his name. He was an unforgettable kind of guy. Super intense. Looked like a skinhead. Dressed like Johnny Rotten. Loved rocks. The part I am less certain of is how his name is spelled. If you read what I typed in a Texan accent, it sounds like how he said it. I could be way off though on that spelling. KK came out only a few years after I took that class and I distinctly remember making that connection, assuming they named the villain after a Polish geologist, lol.

Vladek is a real name. I had a teachers aid in geology class in college named Vladek Lobza. He was from Poland.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
SirBlake replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Target DCPi came in handy. After much searching, I did find a mostly empty box of monsters on an end cap. I asked a guy to look it up for me. He found the listed location and he couldn't find them. He then grabbed a shiny new orange box and I went to feeling. Got what I and my daughter wanted (11 total) and left the rest. He said he was going to put them back in the store room so they can go in the hanging display later. It was nice to get to a fresh box, but I feel a little bad about grabbing all the Knights. Sorry West 7th in Fort Worth. :-) -

Same here. I've almost missed the display numerous times because they move them around so much. -
Hoonicorn in Lego form? Looks too good to be true, but I would buy that so fast if available.

That's easily fixed. I think it looks great!

I like it. Love the baseplate use and the different color brick-bricks are nice.

Good point. The earlier the better. I'm tired of waiting for this wave.

That's cool! I'm glad Ford is embracing the Lego connection. It helps to see how they're constructed. The back end of the Mustang is pretty intricate with all of those plates.

Very nice work! I personally love the idea of building around and enhancing sets, and you nailed it.

Thank you very much for that. Looks like I'm set to spend at least $115 on all of the American car sets. I wonder if this will remain a TRU exclusive in the states?
-
More gorgeous work, which is expected from you at this point. But you're going to work as a designer at TLG?!? That's fantastic news. I feel like we have an advocate for real Castle that really gets it walking those hallowed halls. Good luck and have fun!

Those look great! Forgive me if I missed it, but do we know pricing on these sets?

Beautiful is the perfect word. Microbuilds don't usually do much for me, but I audibly gasped at this one. Lovely work.

Cool idea and nice usage of the foils.

That can be easily discarded, leaving lots of usable parts for regular castle building. Far more than any NK set provides.

Thanks for that info. Those details really make those cars. Great shapes in the octan racer too.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion

I count at least 18 of Boudon's designs that have been implemented, depending on how strictly you compare the final product to his concepts. What I would love most is faithful adaptations of the elves, third row from the top on the page in color. -
These are great! What is the part that makes the roof on Santa's hot rod? It's perfect in that application. Also, what parts are those exhaust pipes On the bubble top B-Rod?

I believe that last year was scheduled for an April release, was it not? I remember getting mine in March.

No Licenced historic theme this year?
SirBlake replied to kinggregus's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That's a nice thought, but it is set in early 1900's New York, so less chance for a castle setting like Hogwarts. -

Redesigning CMFs for a holiday theme is genius. The forest maiden recolor looks great and the dwarf is hilarious. Love his belt buckle. -
Whoah, that is an unusual and pretty cool castle design. I have no use for angry birds, but there's a lot to that set.

I think it's a good name. I figure I'll get 5 or 6 to build a small scary bear faction and at least a few more for parts. I think a couple will have to be used to flesh out the ranks of Rohan at Helms Deep. -
Awesome! Lots of good stuff in those pics but that American muscle is delicious. As a Mustang guy, I have to like that one. TLG did a pretty good job with a very curvaceous car to copy. The real hit for me is the classic camaro. Amazing representation. On the other hand, the late model camaro looks like a bit of a blocky mess. Vette looks right. I'm going to have fun modding that one to 8-studs wide. Raptor and hot rod look great. The Ford logo valve cover is a dream come true! I'm kind if surprised how much I like the trailer and garage stuff.
