  1. We did not discuss Bleeb.
  2. My feelings are irrelevant. If you truly believe that I am the Godfather, then you should vote me off. As I have said before, I am a vanilla Monster.
  3. Great review!
  4. This is great! I particularly like the front entrance area and the the big screen TV. Just one question: how doe the flowers get watered?
  5. Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments! It really means a lot to me.
  6. There are a couple of blanks that need to be filled in. The copy of the role PM that I received via email made reference to both "Monster Mermaid" and "The Monster" (as in Franskenstein's Monster (CMF Series 4)). I didn't question this because it made sense to me - my character is a mermaid and The Monster is my alter ego. I was getting frustrated because I was trying to explain this to Helen, who (in my view) did not believe and did not give me straight answers. I presume this is because, like most of you, she would have received a Role PM that made only reference to one CMF. I later went to the Role PM sitting in the messenger system here, after Helen asked if I had asked TrumpetKing about it. It made only reference to one CMF - Frankenstein's Monster. I queried TrumpetKing, who confirmed that he had made a mistake. My apologies to TrumpetKing if I have stepped over the mark by blabbing this information. My intention is not to embarrass you (mistakes happen all the time, it's a fact of life), but I feel the need to set the record straight on this matter.
  7. That she could only communicate in questions and answer questions with yes, no, and maybe.
  8. Almost forgot to mention the most important thing ... Derek investigated me last night. I'm a Monster. Helen knows this. She is the one who told me, before I confirmed it with Derek.
  9. Would I be on the chopping block (more so than I am already) if I had yielded to the pressure that Helen and Timothy were placing on us to vote Kingsley at the end of Day 1? I chose not to yield because I didn't think that Kingsley was scum. But I understand that some people feel more strongly about getting a lynch on Day 1, so I can perfectly understand why Bleeb may have chosen to vote for Kingsley. As a reminder: Yep, no pressure here for anyone to nail the lynch on Kingsley ... We (and by that I mean the collective town) are like lambs being led to the slaughter by Helen and Timmy. Vote: Helen Inkling (Hinckley) I'd be just as happy to vote for Timmy. Where is the sidekick today? He's gone all quiet. Maybe Helen sent in the hairdresser as a replacement. I'd be trying to keep Timmy quiet as well, given his role in Kingsley's lynch yesterday. I believe that Helen is pretending to be cursed (or the scum cursed one of their own) to make Helen look like a townie. Helen told me about her curse at the start of the day. Presumably she also told others that she appears to be tight-knit with, like Timmy. Timmy felt a need to point it out in thread, even though he knew exactly what was going on. I believe this was designed purely to make sure that everyone was aware that Helen was cursed, and not just being annoying on purpose. Regarding the investigator, I think that enough time has passed for a counter claim to arise. I've also done a little reading of history texts. In some cultures, fortune telling was considered on par with witchcraft, which was considered bad (if not necessarily monstrous). I don't need to confirm with history texts that witches were burnt at the stake. I've been in discussion with Derek and am comfortable with his claim. I have no means to verify him, of course, but there is no reason not to believe him. If you vote me off today, the only thing you will have "caught" today is a vanilla townie. I am sure that the scum would prefer a power role, but c'est la vie. Here's a thought to ponder to, just in case I don't make it through the night and Helen does. Who do you think would be a bigger threat to the scum? I'm pretty sure between me and her, I'd be taking her out first, and probably ahead of Caitie too.
  10. Derek already knows my alter ego, so I'd be OK with this. As long as he promises not to share the full list with Helen or Timmy. Helen already knows my alter ego too, which means Timmy probably knows as well. Another lie from Helen, presumably designed to push my buttons and try and get me to spit the dummy again. The dummy spit yesterday was the result of a very frustrating discussion I had with Helen yesterday about alter egos. A discussion that I thought was resolved because it turns out the misunderstanding was based on an honest mistake made by another party, yet she is still using it to portray me as scum. Yes, I purposely edited out the swearing (out of the quote above) because I'm not particularly proud of that.
  11. Are you saying that you have a non-monstery alter ego? It follows the format of the previous chapter, which is public knowledge for everyone to see here. You seem to be putting a lot of faith in Helen. I hope you have a very good reason for doing so. This issue with the non-monstrous alter egos is still bugging me. I know it doesn't have to fit the pattern of what happened in previous chapters, but it is bugging me nevertheless. I, for one, need some conclusion on this issue and don't particularly want to spend the next x days speculating. It is putting me at odds with some people (potentially unnecessarily) because I don't have the same blind faith in our claimed investigator. I propose everyone sends me their alter egos via PM. I'll report back if there are duplicates and what the number of non-monstrous identities there are, or we can decide as a group on what we do with the information. I'm a vanilla Monster and, apart from some lacklustre intelligence, it would not be the greatest loss to the Monsters if the Council decided to take me out as a result of this proposal and any consequent actions. History suggests that, in the absence of a personal bodyguard, I don't have long to live anyway.
  12. Only one kill overnight, which looks most likely like scum kill, also means that there was no SK kill (assuming there is an SK). I don't recall Fortune Tellers being portrayed as monsters, but this little mermaid didn't pay much attention in history class.
  13. I agree on both fronts - that it looks like Caitie was killed by the scum and that the vig probably stayed home last night. Yes, it looks like a very non-monster-y Roman Soldier doing the scum kill. I don't know my history very well, but I don't really recall Roman Soldiers commonly being portrayed as monsters. She was a creepy nurse, but also smart. Good enough reason for scum to take her out. At the risk of getting a rap over the knuckles for saying "Scum wouldn't do that", would they target someone that they had argued with so recently? We don't have anything to suggest she was the vigilante. It doesn't mean she wasn't, we just don't know at this stage. The serum could be something other than a poison to kill something. However, the comic did say she was going to test it on frogs specifically (rather than someone or a person), which means it may have just been part of the role playing. I'm not going to read too much into it. I don't see any reason why Kingsley would lie about being a blocker. And there are plenty of horror movies where the scarecrow is the monster.
  14. Helen succeeded in getting a reaction out of me by lying about the nature of the conversation we had via PM. I'm happy to share that conversation here in the open if anyone cares.
  15. Why can't you answer the question?
  16. This is what I was talking about: Essentially, you are implying I am suspicious (and Timothy and Peter) because it takes me a little while to go from reading to picking my quotes to writing my replies to hitting the post button. And why should we have to post every time? Why can't we just come in and read? If it's not too much trouble, I'd be grateful if you could answer this question I had for you earlier:
  17. It feels like you're waiting for someone to give you permission. If you think it's best to reveal then do so. Who is trying to get you to lynch whom? megabluck you for taking too long to write a post That would be me taking too long to write a post Just for the record, I just sent Helen an apology for that little outburst.
  18. It does, to the extent that scum then know what not to claim.
  19. What the? I think what you really meant to say is "So that you and your sum buddies know exactly who to target"? Too late. Did you also get the "I hate approaching people on the first day ..." spiel? This is kind of like the "I hate claiming, but ..." spiel. Argh! Kingsley is being so scummy at the moment, but the starfish being scum would suggest that Timothy and Caitie aren't scum (or they're bussing, which I don't believe either). I still prefer everyone gives someone their identify via PM, once we've got someone that we're all comfortable is town. If your two faith healers are Monsters, revealing what non-monster identities they have publicly only helps scum at this stage. Short answer: don't reveal.
  20. I'm not going to change my vote. There is something about the claim that continues to bug me. Curious, does anyone else have a reference in their PM to a CMF other than "Monster ______ "? I'm not going to vote for the starfish, as I think that, between Caitie and the starfish, Caitie is more likely to be the scum. So, voting for the starfish doesn't make sense to me.
  21. Definitely not in public. More generally, I think it's too early. I'd want to be fairly comfortable that the person we're claiming to is Monster. I agree, you should have stopped after "Fortune Teller". And you could have stated that part much earlier. I'm not convinced. More likely scummy role cop than a town cop. Not a chance. I hope our real cop keeps quiet about their role. I don't get the point of this statement. Since when do you advocate playing conservatively? I'm not comfortable with the notion of our doctor wasting his / her action on your scum buddy. Are you claiming Frankenstein? That would be at odds with ... I don't believe we have any evidence to support that. I'm comfortable with where my vote is, but I'd be willing to switch votes to Timothy. Scratch that, we can lynch Timothy tomorrow. No, I didn't. The issue was with how I interpreted them. I didn't think much of Sally's post because I thought she was just role playing. Mikatta's post made me think about alter egos. That's why (in my mind at least) I thought Mikatta brought it up first. Below is the post in question. I added the bolding. Just to be clear, I'm not jumping on you, Mikatta. I'm just pointing out to Helen what my though process was.
  22. You didn't specifically say "alter egos", but this comment below was the first post that made me think of alter egos. So, in my mind, you were the first to raise it. And I am not jumping on anyone - you're in fact the only I'd actually be willing to share my alter ego with, as Pamela suggested. I've already explained why I mentioned Helen behaviour initially. I'm not the pursuing it because I realise that I read Sally's comment different to most people. At the time, I didn't think Sally was specifically referring to alter egos. Maybe I'm just sulking because you haven't PM'd me yet. Or the real reason, which is that this week has been hell in terms of the mermaid things that I need to do to pay the bills.
  23. The only thing that bugs me about this is that it is too easy. Vote: Derek Polanes (DarthPotato) I just thought it odd that you jumped on Sally, when it was Mikatta that brought up the alter egos. I thought at the time that Sally was just role playing. I think we can share this info. The way I read Rule 6 is that we can't quote (or pretend to quote) our role PMs when doing so.
  24. My hair is perfect already, but thanks for the offer.
