    It's also worth remembering that, whatever can be said about them, the Great Beings were definitely mad scientists. Logically, Mata Nui shouldn't look like a humanoid either, but like a sphere for the maximum volume/surface ratio.

    I like the idea of white and tr. neon or apple green for the Skull slicer. I've tried it on MOCs, and it immediately gives it a toxic look. And if the Skull Basher is black and purple, that'd be just perfect. Kind of dissapointed about the tr. blue on the warrior, though.

    Do you mean six legs plus two claws, four real legs plus claws or just six claws? If it's the latter, I'll be really dissapointed. The lack of claws was what stopped HF's Scorpio from being a great set in my eyes, rather than a more-or-less normal one. I do like the sound of the Skull Slicer. We haven't had a four-armed set in ages. I think Waspix was the last one. And Skull Basher (the more alliterative Smasher sounds better IMO) could be great, especially if it used the Hulk torso armor. On the other hand, I really wonder what piece they'll use for the Skull Grinder. Judging by your description, you may have just misidentified two separate pieces to be one, although the alternative sounds very appealing. Any information regarding the colors of the Skull Scorpio?

    Holy nuclear explosion the Titanium Dragon seems awesome. And apparently Chen (or the Anacondrai?) captured it and chained it.

    I think the service is Bricks and Pieces (it's found in the same place as LEGO's replacement parts service), which is down until the end of January. It's kind of annoying for me too, for the same reasons.

    The Avohkii = MoUP idea seems rather silly to me, but if we're just going to guess by mask shape, they do share the spikes on the sides of their head.

    What does GWP stand for? I assume from the way you're talking about it that it is the promotional set. In that case, I think a red or purple one would indeed look nice. I'm not too sure about dark green, but just for the sake of the reactions, I half want it to be bright pink.

    Couldn't the reason for the colors leading to the skull mask being that the Toa* awaken the skull army by using their elemental powers? Like a sort of lock, with the goal to prevent the skull army from escaping until there are heroes ready to defeat them. *Probably accidentally, in the process of gaining access to the ancient city.

    Very good! The colors are well-balanced, the head has a very creative design and the chicken legs are well chosen, as they fit well with the bulbous feet.

    I've got to agree with the guys that it's probably the Skull Grinder's mask. On the other hand, considering the fact that it appeared on the original poster, unless the Skull Grinder is actually the big bad, I suspect it could be Makuta's replacement mask. Also, considering that robotic noses actually exist, it's not that strange that it has nostrils. Unrelated: does the new piston armor add-on fit on Onua's shoulder armor piece? I know you have to add pins to allow add-ons to connect to it, but does it fit?

    The Chain Cycle sounds like some sort of motorbike-trencher hybrid to me. I'm going to be really excited for the set if that's the case. Also, two new dragons! I hope Wu's dragon is white with black details and not some new color scheme. Morro might be the speedster guy; his dragon would probably have a more snake-like design, rather like the Lightning Dragon. The name makes me think that the next finale will have the Destiny's Bounty get destroyed, presumably by a monster, perhaps the giant purple snake from the trailer. So that snake will probably accompany the Bounty. Hopefully the Titan Mech won't be as lackluster as I fear it will be. It could go anywhere, though, considering that our knowledge is limited to it's name right now. The R.E.X. sounds like another mech. Considering some of LEGO's naming strategies, there's a fifty-fifty chance that it will be a T. Rex. Blaster Bike is probably just a generic bike, perhaps like the Stone Warrior's one in terms of build/design. Everyone else has already summed up the flyers. I'm not too excited for them, to be honest.

    If this is legit, I kinda hope the Skull Scorpio is an actual scorpion rather than those warriors. We have more than enough humanoids already, an updated evil and skeletal Nui-Jaga would be a million times better. I do hope that we get some new colors of the basic spiders, though. A purple or pink skull spider would be excellent. Also, for some reason my first thought after reading "Skull Grinder" was "Helicoprion?". Why? I don't know, considering that that would be the most implausible set ever. I do think some sort of saw would be fitting for such a character. I do wonder whether the "Mask Maker" is actually Ekimu. It seems less likely, considering that the "Bone Grinder" is probably a villain, but it could be that the Mask Maker is Makuta. Makuta is obsessive enough to be willing to fight someone just to stop them from getting power. The other sets sound like generic humanoid soldier builds. Hopefully they'll be a bit more interesting than that, though. Maybe some nice colors, like we got in the first wave, could spice them up a little. If they're paler, "bleached-bone" shades rather than bright ones, that would be perfect.

    Wow. These are pretty good. I like the bit about the comets, it seems like a nice reference to that bit of the toa mythos about their stars. Also, tiny protector is adorable. I mean, it looks like a deformed squid-thing. The narrator's voice is kind of silly-sounding though. You could make a sandwich out of the cheese dripping off his voice when he says "evil" at the end of the first video. Also, Tahu's facial expression after he steps out of the comet-thingy looks so much like a fan video. Really, the goal seems to be to make every second character in these animations adorable. Also, yay, they kept the term toa!

    I just saw all of the non-exclusive winter sets at Intertoys here in the Netherlands. Surprisingly, none of the other themes were on shelves yet.

    I see your point, but as mentioned here, this whole confusion could have been avoided by simply mentioning that what was meant was noon, as precise knowledge of the definition of am and pm is not particularly common, as evidenced by the flood of comments on Rebrick. I would like to ask you to please still consider my entry.

    I used the time zone converter. It said that I was in the same time zone. But I still want clarification about the 12:00 pm equals noon rather than midnight thing, because I asked several people what they thought 12:00 pm meant and each one said that that was midnight. And to my mind, 12:00 pm follows 11:59 pm, rather than 11:59 am.

It should be clarified, but I think something like your issue was mentioned in subsequent posts in this topic. Your entry was pretty cool though. I'm kind of glad I don't have to go up against it . EDIT: wait, I thought the competition was still open. Isn't 12 pm midnight?

    Agreed. I kind of feel that MOCs should be made specifically for the contest, not just recycled.

    I think it looks pretty great. The spikiness is excellent . I just feel that there's one color too many (And now that I see the dark look of the rest of the MOC, I think it might have looked better with a black lower jaw). Also, the tr. neon green makes the more apple-colored green look strange and vice versa.

    The other color tr. blue doesn't work. I think it would look better if you just used the basic torso shell like the set does. Apart from that, it looks pretty great. Are you planning to replace those grey bones with black ones? I think the added contrast might look nice. Also, maybe you could flip around the shells on the lower legs so they cover up the pin holes better?

    I found all of the sets at my local intertoys. I didn't get any of them, because I'll be visiting a LEGO store soon anyway. Hilariously, the Queen Beast was marked up to 46.99 .

    I to be honest wouldn't like Bionicle to come back either if it meant the end of Hero Factory. The story, if you think about it, isn't even that good. What made it impressive was merely that it was the first (and during it's run practically the only) theme with a focus on the story. I really hope that HF stays. I actually prefer IfB over the past waves of Hero Factory, and for me it stands head and shoulders above even my favorite Bionicle waves (and the IfB sets are all on par or better that my favorite Bionicle sets). The story of IfB seemed to emphasize that the problems the main characters have to deal with isn't in any way the only one going on at that moment, but just one out of several thousand. So yeah, part of me is hoping that this was just a really, really elaborate hoax. But seeing as it probably isn't, I hope that they at least won't undo the massive improvements in the building system and set design. Hero Factory has had a lot of great non-humanoid designs, and the parts that have been introduced recently are really impressive. I also don't like the thought that this will encourage the more rabid of Bionicle fans, who seem to cling to it like a religion .

    I assume the Queen Beast TheOneVeyronian is referring to is the official set. Anyway, I dislike how the tail looks at the moment. Besides the awkward-looking armor placement of the last torso shell, the exposed bones on the sides look too unnatural, and the tip of the tail would look better in my opinion if it was just one IfB talon piece. Also, the section in between the tip of the tail and the bulkier part should be longer, preferably longer than the bulky part.
