The only non-strange-looking variations for any of the gang that I can think of would be the aforementioned "Shaggy and Scooby in the aftermath of the first monster-catching-plan in the episode". And any of those would be hilarious to have.

While the slapstick comedy of the episodes is kind of funny, I think HF is really underrated. Having rewatched IfB a few times, the animation is stellar, and the writing is a lot better than it seems the first time. But yes, LoSS defeating each of the toa in exactly the same manner is hilarious. Also, LoSS is female; note the lack of enlarged pedipalps. Or any pedipalps at all. I do hope that the LoSS gets another chance at defeating the toa, preferably with enough power to actually take more than thirty seconds to be defeated.

It kind of makes sense that they'd have to recover their memories of how they got the elemental weapons if they wanted to remember how to do Spinjitzu. I'm guessing that the weapons are either from some sort of "sent inside their own minds" plot or their copies made by the others in the team to help them. Also, this is the first appearance of the Ultra Dragon in a long, long time. I wonder what happened to it in the meantime? BTW, this belongs in the Culture and Multimedia topic about the video game.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
DraikNova replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Or unleash both. However, taking the character descriptions from the Ninjago site into account, Chen is actually going to transform his minions into Anacondrai. Also, Chen displayed the patience of a two-year old in this episode. While consistent with the "has been a tyrant for a very long time and has had servants attend to his every whim" bit of his backstory, that doesn't really make him all too interesting a villain. If he had internalized it and, after the competition was over said something to Clouse along the lines of "Another excellent display from the ninja. Soon they may be worthy of being crushed by me.", he may have appeared a little less stupid. Although the fact that he didn't just have everyone (with the possible exception of Toxikita, who may have a resistance to that) tranquilized and drained them then and there kind of puts limits on how intelligent he can be shown to be anyway.- 4,591 replies

Apparently, the Morro Dragon includes two of the giant shurikens, and you can clearly see the red 1x1 round plate/flat stud on Kai's. If you look closely, you can just barely see that Jay's is tr. yellow. Strangely, the Ronin R.E.X. one has what appears to be a brown plate, yet Cole's vehicle set shows a gold-ish one with a white aura around it (apparently, this is where minifigs can hold it), which is strangely reminiscent of a spinning sawblade. The one in the Titan Mech set is Zane's, as it has a tr. light blue plate. EDIT: Also, looking at the sets again shows that each and every set seems to include at least one dragon, with the Titan Mech Battle being the sole exception. The one in the Destiny's Bounty 2.0 set even appears to have a fully articulated tail made from Mixel joints, along with a weird greenish tube running from it's chest to it's head, almost like a pneumatic tube. Unless this is a Scooby Doo-style hoax using mechanical dragons, I can't make head or tails out of that last detail. Also, for some reason the "Slimers" appear to have dragon-like faces too.

Just noticed this: the colors of the "Morro" faction aren't just black and lime, they use dark blue as well. Oh, and the Morro Mech set includes a purple Sensei Wu hat and lime elemental blade piece. I'm really loving these new sets. It's too bad that the Morro Dragon doesn't include the Chima claw pieces in tr. neon green, just the classic HF ones. I'm going to be really dissapointed if those pieces dissapear completely from LEGO's products, they're such a cool and useful design. EDIT: Ronin R.E.X. includes what appears to be a giant golden shuriken for the "ghost" in the set. EDIT2: You can see it in Cole's set as well. Maybe those are the new collectibles? Shurikens, perhaps with printed elemental motifs on the center? EDIT3: Wu's Dragon uses gold HF flames for wings. Also, the pizza-colored projectile is being fired from a chima blaster under the hammer-esque contraption. EDIT4: The shuriken piece also appears in the Morro Dragon, with Jay, and in the Titan Mech Battle set in a shrine.

Constraction hasn't even existed that long.

Actually, while the Skull Scorpio has zero points of articulation per leg, the Nui-Jaga had one per leg. With the CCBS, we should be able to do better than that.

Yeah, but you can actually see a hint of green in that (look at the box art). In these pictures, you can't. Believe me, I checked. I would be willing to forgive a few more faults if it featured tr. neon green armor pieces. There's a reason why the ribcage shape hasn't changed across the entire spectrum of vertebrates. While they may not need the same shapes, they need to follow the same rules. The ribcage is a logical and efficient shape for an endoskeleton. And really, if they're not supposed to look like human skeletons, why would they even look the way they do in the first place? They look like the skeletons of a completely different species than the toa, who have only just arrived, and they differ even more from the protectors.

How does the Scorpio look lime to you? If anything, it looks like it's tr. yellow. I prefer the basic torso piece to this one. For one thing, it doesn't slope as abruptly, and has a proper waist. For another, it's not randomly spiky; if they wanted to make a proper ribcage they'd have to make the ribs curl inwards rather than outwards.

I like the Scorpio more than the others too, but for the opposite reason: I think the tail function is relatively unobtrusive, I just wish it had legs that could actually support it. Also, claws that don't look as horrible as the ones it uses, but that's a lost cause.

It's on the side of the box. It looks like it's split up into six sides, presumably to display the six elemental powers.

I see one on each side, but there isn't one in the middle, so...? And yes, there does seem to be a new cannon piece in the Wu set, although that might just be a non-functioning one. Also, the Morro Mech seems to have a com uplink. Ah, classic Ninjago zaniness, how I've missed you.

Isn't that just the shape of the piece itself, rather than printing?

Tr. pink is a lot better than plain pink though. I wouldn't use the latter if my life depended on it, while the former adorns some of my favorite sets ever.

Three? I only see two.

I think it's tr. pink. It looks exactly like it.

That would be the best explanation, at least in terms of design.

I know, right? Look on the bright side though, at least Ekimu uses a great technique to customize his shield. And his hammer appears to be completely transparent, even where the gatling gun pieces are, with the exception of the middle piece, which is grey.

Maybe not a core theme, but it's well on it's way to becoming as much of a long runner as BIONICLE. And with BIONICLE being rebooted this year, I wouldn't be surprised if Ninjago still existed in 2025.

I wouldn't say that it makes more sense as a set, but it would be a better set. You do have a point though, while the sets seem underdesigned if anything, the new sets definitely are overredesigned (might be a fun word for Scrabble). I did send you a link. Check at the top of the page, on the right. There should be a red box with a white 1 in it. And yes, you have.

Same here. Also, eeegh. At least we're getting a large skeleton piece in white. Let's just hope they didn't redesign that too.

Sadly, I'm coming to the conclusion that, to me at least, Scorpio's tail is one of the best-looking parts of any of the sets. Also, That is one of the few things that would make me like Slicer, as it would have both a large black torso piece and tr. green parts.

Sorry Chronos. You're apparently too new for the PM system. Maybe if you write enough posts speculating on what we've written about the sets, we'll be able to send them to you.
