  1. Wrong part of the forum (this goes in Sci-Fi (which is showtopic=23)), but nice MOCs nevertheless. I particularly enjoy how you kept the opening function. Could you please try a recolor of this in the Classic Space colors?
  2. Some dutch LEGO magazine.
  3. I actually have two of those windshields in blue from a promo set. Anyway, I found the silliest tagline for IfB on some official LEGO stuff: "Robot invasion". Just...how? How does someone manage to get things that simultaneously correct and incorrect? I mean, sure, the robots invaded the beasts' home, but still...
  4. Okay, that helicopter orange-blue thingy is pretty cool, even with those hilarious feet. The orange Max (that's presumption, but it looks too large to be a mix) and the purple one both look quite interesting, as does the tan one. The blue-brown one looks like a great wasp-esque monster. Actually, listing exactly why almost all of those are awesome would take too long, so let me just say that the second and third series look even better than the first.
  5. Annoyingly, the picture of the Queen Beast still teases us with what I would consider the perfect mix of translucent and opaque. I like the alien look the translucent cocoons have, but, because the rest of the Beasts do not look like that, it stands out unpleasantly.
  6. Which is why I asked. I'm removing the link though, just to be sure. We've already discussed that, actually.
  7. EDIT: Removed the link. Credit to this guy for originally posting it.
  8. Yup, and, while I don't want to link to it directly for fear of it being removed, I can send you the link via PM if you want. If you look on other parts of Eurobricks, you should be able to find it anyway. Not much to see, really, although I may be wrong about the maroon if the color of the Combat Machine's missiles are anything to go by.
  9. Looking at the press guide, Chima Constraction isn't in it . Damn.
  10. Guess what? Someone found the press guide! Sadly, the more translucent cocoons appear to be the finalized ones. That's not the worst thing. The red cocoons are some horrible maroon shade, from the looks of it. Oh well, at least the prices are reasonable.
  11. The back armor for the Breez mini-mech is a nice touch. I would have preferred a windscreen (so I could finish my Breez Mech MOC), but as polybags go it's perfect.
  12. Nice. It seems a bit bulky for Breez, but it's still very impressive and functional looking. The shortness of the arms, the lack of extra armor for the cockpit and the lack of a hero core on Breez detract a bit from the model, though. That, and the fact that there's no shot of the back .
  13. That still doesn't make it LEGO's fault.
  14. I kind of like this one better than the third or second versions. The only part that needs improving with this one are the claws on the back, which would look better if you could figure out a way to make them bulkier (perhaps using two of the new claw/blade piece per claw?).
  15. Great MOC! It's bulky and imposing. However, I have to agree that the Surge/Furno XL wings do not fit, as they are seem too mechanical. There seem to be quite a few gaps as well, and the seperate Beasts are sub-par.
  16. I saw the original version on MOCpages, but this blinding eyesore of awesomeness deserves compliments. After all, it's basically a ridiculously colorful mad scientist of the computer programmer variety and his workspace. What's not to like? Oh, and while some of it seems a little too blocky for my tastes, the desk itself is excellent.
  17. Really, this seems like the worst news I've had in a while. I'd have been happier if they hadn't actually shown the sets at all if this goes through; all that hype for some of the best sets for MOCcing I've seen and then nothing. I quite liked last year's sets quite a bit: they were gone by my next visit to the LEGO store, actually. On the other hand, if it's only the US that isn't getting the sets, I'm going to have to do my very best not to be an extremely annoying show-off. I do hope that we get some official news, though. Considering who posted it, it's more believable than the usual "heard it from an employee at the store" rumors, but, while the employees do oftentimes know about cancellations, I'm still going to take this with a grain of salt until we see the official, finalized line-up of sets or get an official statement. After all, we heard dozens of stories about HF not selling well and being cancelled, sometimes from people who were extremely accurate about other news, while this year HF seems stronger than ever.
  18. Agreed. On the other hand, it actually looks like a turtle, not some deformed Gamera-esque abomination. As with all turtles I would not like to meet this one when it's angry. Seriously, I wouldn't be half surprised if normal snapper turtles could bite through quite thick pieces of metal.
  19. It loses a bit of the color scheme balance that made it so appealing to me. The red armor pieces at the shoulder simultaneously add too much red to the mix and disrupt the flow of the MOC.
  20. Wow, all of these look LEGO-quality, and all of them better than, say, Breakout Nex. I love the katana backpack feature, along with the fitting scarf piece (if only...), and the aesthetics created by the armor are very fitting. If only they had the Technoblades. And were made by LEGO. I'd snap them up in a heartbeat.
  21. Because I dislike hearing background noises whilst listening to music. For such things as kaiju, stuff like "Radioactive" or any of the Godzilla movie soundtracks. For cliché-manipulating, classy, old-fashioned villains, the Megamind soundtrack is a favorite. Fire-themed MOCs get active, upbeat music, with the speed of the music varying between slow and dramatic (stuff that isn't actually fire, like magma) to extremely hyper (actual fire. Also, F2O2-themed MOCs, which, for some weird reason, I have several of).
  22. Mostly, I MOC without music, because, as I hate having ambient noises interrupting music, I feel required to wear headphones when listening to music. In turn, that restricts my movement, due to cables and such, preventing me from getting the pieces I need. I do use appropriately themed music when I want to get an impression of what a MOC would look like from a character's point of view.
  23. I saw them for 4 at the LEGO store, and the price another store's site gave was 3, although that already seemed dubious to me.
  24. Yeah, I saw the whole pile of Bionicle and HF display's one of my local stores had, all piled up into a corner once. Anyway, I'm doubtful about the MOCcing potential of that set, but if you care more about the set itself rather than it's components, go for it.
  25. I've seen Mixels go for 3 or 4 bucks, actually, so, depending on where you live, they may be just as expensive.
