  1. Yay! The husky is featured in the sets, and it seems that the ghosts aren't just ghost warriors, but ghosts of everyday people as well. The cart thing in the Wu Dragon set appears to be a food cart, in fact.
  2. Hey, I just noticed, but what happened to the spikes on the back of the Mask of Creation?
  3. Yeah, I don't have any illusions about it. There's just a speck of hope there.
  4. Actually, DV does seem to have 8m shells on his sides. The bit of the shells that sticks out is just long enough and has the right proportion to the rest of the shell to be 8m. EDIT: nevermind, they're 6m. Here's hoping that DV uses stickers, rather than printing. If he does use printing, that bumps his status as best parts pack down a bit, and I'll order the pieces from him that I want from Bricks and Pieces.
  5. I think it's just the basic shade of blue, the kind featured in classic LEGO buckets.
  6. I think I'm just going to get the Mystery Machine, judging by the boxes alone. I need to save money for Ninjago. In other news, am I the only person who wants a Tar Monster bigfig?
  7. Does anyone know why the I. Rex is dragging it's tail like it's Godzilla or a pre-1970's paleontological reconstruction?
  8. We know. Also, I've got to say that, now that I have them in front of me, the Skull Spider legs seem far too cartoonishly large.
  9. No new details or pictures of the Jay vehicle yet, though.
  10. Ultra sonic showdown is ultra awesome. I really wonder about the brain thing. If it's a new piece I'm going to be in MOCcing heaven. Mad science needs brains.
  11. Not liking the color of the vehicles, but the dinos are so bright and vibrant that I can't help wanting to pick them up, no matter the inaccuracies. And the generic pterosaur is nice too.
  12. I may have just spotted a new Nixel design, which looks a bit like Major Nixel. Look at the top of the picture.
  13. Damn, the other pictures show that what I thought was a new belt piece is in fact just a couple of technic pieces. Also, I'd be in love with the DV set if it featured 8m shells. That would just be perfect. For building big MOCs in CCBS, which I do a lot, variety of shell pieces is key.
  14. Beautiful. I'm ditto-ing the request for pictures of the head, what you did is just amazing. And thanks to this, I kind of want to see whether I can build CCBS Kardas now.
  15. Most of the sets look pretty bad, but I kind of like the blended Akaku (that was originally Kopaka's mask's name, right?).
  16. Yup. About the 6m shells, it seems like SW could be very useful to me for getting old parts that I neglected to get at the time.
  17. I really want to know how DV's utility belt thingy works. If it clips onto the torso, it could be very useful. Especially if it's compatible with the Breakout HF chest plate. I've also been waiting for the return of the rounded armor add-on, so that's nice. And black is the color I need them in most.
  18. Eegh, those new armor pieces are ugly as hell. And what is going on with the silver hero cuffs? At least DV's ugly torso build features lots of useful parts. I'm not sure I'll be able to find a use for the new light saber blade piece, though. And the flesh-colored hands...yuck.
  19. Hahaha, someone already stole Skull Scorpio's mask. Anyway, I got two of the "Hero Packs" from a LEGO store yesterday, plus Onua and PoS. I'm going to have to wait with unpacking them until next week, though . Also, I really can't understand the HF hate. Queen Beast is my favorite constraction set of all time, with a simple yet effective design that is a million miles away from the messy, unfinished-looking Technic messes that were the Bionicle titans. The color scheme was vibrant yet slightly menacing, the build features lots of articulation, including the waist articulation that everyone always screams for, and as a parts pack it's as good as they go.
  20. LEGO has a very complicated shipping and handling system, designed for very small response times. If there's a lot of demand, they can put out more of it and bring it to the right spot very quickly.
  21. Personally, I've tried to think about how the concept of souls (in the traditional sense) would work (I did the same thing when I was eight and first heard of the "1 dog year = 7 human years" thing. I came to the conclusion that factories probably used dog intestines to speed up processes. No, I don't know why I didn't come up with the more obvious "expressions are inaccurate" answer. Kids are gullible.), and, well, first of all, you'd need a sub-level of reality, containing insanely complicated processing systems to hold all of the information about someone. You'd need one for every human, and possibly one for every one of the 100 billion humans that have ever lived, if recycling isn't an option. Then you'd need to give those systems the ability to sense what is a sapient being, without being affected by one if it isn't (= interacting with something to determine whether to interact with it). This is necessary to have an excuse for the fact that they haven't been detected at all and to give them an ability to interact with people and update in response to that person's life. Then you'd need hundreds of subroutines just to stop surgery and the like from causing souls to get all messed up with other people. Why would you believe that you'd have such an insanely complicated system to explain sapience/sentience when it's much easier to accept that the human brain is a very complicated system?
  22. What about the 10000-volt ghost? Or the Pterodactyl ghost? Man, Scooby Doo had a lot of "ghost" characters.
  23. In regards to the "Protectors grow, as seen with the baby protector" argument: Protectors could just be biomechanical, but with some sort of system to allow their mechanical parts to grow along with their organic components. Or the organic parts of the Protectors could add metal onto the preexisting mechanics as required. Either way, Protectors probably consider ore part of a healthy breakfast.
  24. Sheesh, I just said that I thought it would be more interesting for the building element to be canon and we get this ridiculously long argument. Also, why are people using the argument of "robots don't have souls" when the whole concept of souls is ridiculous in the real world as well?
