  1. I mostly tried to make the whole mace look like a larger version of Macy's minifig-sized one, while also allowing it to reach the ground to allow it to knock over minifigures for play value. I supposed I could make the mace head larger while making the handle shorter. Any ideas on how to make the mace head larger?
  2. A very accurate recreation. The only thing I'd change are the spikes on the hammer. I'd use the chima claw piece (the rubbery hollow one) instead of the small claw and I'd make both spikes black.
  3. Update: I've now made a version based on Lavaria's ultimate. It includes beetle wings with proper elytra (wings modified into a protective shell for the functional wings), storage for various pieces of gear (including the most groan-worthy pun I've made so far, the Scythe of pure Weevil) and it can easily be exchanged with the basic version, with the wings being attached quite simply to the torso and the torso simply clipping on to the rest of the body via the leg joints. Here are two pictures of it facing off against Macy's mech: And one showing the elytra a little better. Sorry that I couldn't get any pictures of it with the elyra folded open, they're a real pain to work with in LDD. Hope you guys like this new version.
  4. I wanted to build a better suit of armor for Macy than the ultimate version, and...it kind of just snowballed from there. Features include an opening cockpit, full articulation, rotating dual mace, dual blasters (can be activated via gears) and a brickbuilt shield that can hold a minifig shield. I also replicated her ponytail. When I initially built this and took pictures of it, I slightly underestimated the size of this piece (used in the shield), which LDD doesn't have and I, as such, represented with a Nexo Knights cockpit piece. It's an easy fix, though, requiring simply that I replace the 2x4 slopes with 2x3 ones. Gallery Comments and criticism appreciated!
  5. Just got Macy's Thunder Mace. I really like it. The function is minimal but works well, the shaping is far better than I thought and it includes lots of good parts. And, again, I applied the headlight stickers upside-down, although I think they actually make a lot more sense that way, since it keeps the front from being one solid block of silver.
  6. Someone on tumblr shared the first few season 2 episodes again. I think it's the same person as last time, actually. If you want them without having to search through tumblr, just send me a PM . Anyway, I'm really liking what I've seen of season 2 so far, and I hope that further seasons are just as good (and are as long. Ninjago kind of dropped the ball there, with the one season used for each plot decreasing in length every time, rather than the season 1: introduce the characters, season 2: expand on them setup Nexo Knights seems to be going for.)
  7. A lot of that actually seems rather boring to me. I mean, I wish they had continued with HF, but not like that.
  8. You just had to go ahead and win this, didn't you. Gorgeous work, especially with the head sculpt.
  9. The episode "The Maze of Amazement".
  10. PM Rock monsters already exist canonically as a manifestation of the Book of Deception, actually.
  11. With the exo-suit pilot only sets having better equipment for the pilot compared to those in the exo-suit sets? Kinda like Nexo Knight's Ultimate sets? I could see that working quite well. Plus, larger playsets would be relatively easy to make, since the figures would already be partially system compatible. Really, the only necessary new mold would be a foot including system anti-studs.
  12. It's not so much that gravity effects time as much as that gravity determines what time is. I mean, gravity is often described as one of four fundamental forces, but while the other three determine how particles interact, gravity determines space and time. Gravity itself is already a ridiculously powerful thing to have control over.
  13. Hell yes, and it wasn't even the heroes so much as the fact that there were so many settings in its universe to work with that inspired me and I still found it to be great fun building custom heroes, A build-a-hero kit with pieces to customize your characters more is something I wanted since 2011.
  14. Sorry, I think I misunderstood what you said. The brown rock detailing on her head is her hair; the detailing on her back is the pipe.
  15. That little pipe on top is taken directly from the original painted version, which has a pipe that releases steam.
  16. Today is the 500th anniversary of the death of the great painter Hieronymus Bosch. As such, here's a creation inspired by a figure in his Temptation of Saint Anthony. She only really has one function: her back splits in half to store a figure, a few accessories for said figure and several crates of globlins (originally for the shooting function I abandoned when redesigning her head). Not counting her hair or the joints used in the function, she's got 18 points of articulation. For more information on her design process, see here. Gallery Inspiration I hope you guys like her. Comments and criticism appreciated!
  17. Compared to what? The current enemies, which are just rocks? Molten or not, that's just not very intimidating either.
  18. One of the monsters is a rotten tree that uses the flies feeding off of his body to maim his enemies while poisoning others with his bodily growths. Not sure how that isn't threatening.
  19. Just thought I'd tell you, someone entered this in the Makuta contest and it's one of the highest rated entries: http://www.lego.com/...&sortEntry=true
  20. Yes, but with the membranes as their own piece. That way, they would be far more useful and probably easier to mold and to recolor as well. Basically, take a rubber sheet, make several lines of it thicker (the supporting bones) and on one side add ball sockets. I figure it'd be a lot harder to make the wings as if they were using the fingers as support than just giving dragons non-batlike anatomy closer to that of Yi Qi, with the supports being spread out rather than being part of a modified hand. On the other hand, smaller membranes could also be used to connect several finger bones for proper batlike wings, but that'd require a huge ($30+) set for it to work.
  21. Unrelated to the knight discussion (I think the purple knight is probably going to be Ava, since Robin is kind of already a knight and has a black as his accent color), I'd like to note that Robin's mini-castle is apparently canon.
  22. How large is your entry? Because, if your version of Makuta is large enough, it might be worth it to just build a MoUP. That's what I'm doing, and I found the perfect piece for that weird circular emblem/rune/zit/sapient tumor thing too.
  23. Huh, is that offer just for the US or for Europe as well? I already have Lavaria, but I wouldn't mind another one. Personally, I got all of the ultimates except Robin and Beast Master. They've got nice exclusive pieces and more shield inlays, plus more A-brackets and the 4x4 wedge piece that was introduced this year.
  24. Thanks for bringing something important up. We've got good hand and foot pieces (a variety of feet, in fact), but no wing membranes. Personally, I'd like to see a piece made out of some sort of stretchy rubber with several ball sockets on it, so that if attached to a series of limb bones it can be made to flex in and out with them.
  25. Bonus points if it means we get recolored mixel joints with the same variety as CCBS bones. And it'd mean we could probably get 30, 40 or even 50 euro sets, because of the pseudo-System nature making it more profitable.
