Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Kai NRG replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
That sounds like a good idea! -
Neat roof there! The house looks great as well! Below the ground. Even if stones were originally placed above the surrounding ground, they would get beaten down/erosion would carry dirt to their sides, etc.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Kai NRG replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Actually, I don't think that's necessary yet at least, because though you guys do have a really impressive number of builds (and once you count the ones that aren't in the Registration thread yet, it must be over 100) a lot of them are fairly (no offence to the builders) small and not extremely well photographed, etc. - which is no problem because that's how we learn, but (though it will give Mitgardia a strong point boost), I don't think it's necessary to close membership as, in point of numbers, I don't think you are too far in advance of other guilds - Garmadon's statistics put you at 38 (Book two), and I would guess only about 20 (likely less) are really active (how's that for a long sentence!). There are probably something like 20 Book two Kaliphlin guild members (glancing quickly through), and at least 12 of them are active. I'm not going to go through the other guild members, but I would guess the numbers are pretty much the same. So even though you guys are ahead, I don't think you're far enough ahead to make it necessary to close the guild to new members. But of course, that's up to the guild leaders. -
Thanks Gabe! Yes, I got about the best angle I could!

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Kai NRG replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Well, if not the most talkative of guilds, you have the most talkative of persons... Lord Vladivus has 81 posts on the Nocty thread (which makes him fourth in line of highest posters on their guild page), 32 on Kaliplin's home page putting him in eighth there, 33 on Mitgardia - also in eighth, and 17 in Avalonia. That's an average of approx. 41 posts per guild page which would put him within the top seven on every single one! -
Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Thanks. Switched it. Definitely surprising. In fact, I'm sure that's not even all of Mitgardia's builds, because Ecc did quite a few, and I think SK hasn't updated his post with his latest. -
Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Kai NRG replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
It's not like I do much work, just copy and paste from the little pop-up. Though scrolling through page after page of GoH topics to get to the old Kali one was a bit of work... Okay, here's a bit of statistics that took more work: (Going by the Free-Build Registration Thread, since after all if builds aren't posted there they won't count anyways. Of course when I say top I mean most, not necessarily best.) Top Free-Builder, Jereonaa, 19 (13 of those are for the AoM) - Mitgardia Second Place, Jodicus, 14 (11 for the AoM) Mitgardia Third, Tomsche, 12 (11 for AoM) Mitgardia Fourth (tie), Kai NRG (Haha yes! Go Kali... er, go me ) 9, Kaliphlin Soccerkid, 9, Mitgardia (aaagain...) Or, if Challenge I entries don't count, I tie with Yooha, who has 8 (yeah, Mitgardia) Basically, Mitgardians pump builds out fastest, especially the newer ones for the AoM. Free-Builders per guild: Kaliphlin ('course we go on top): Top Builder: Kai NRG (9) 5 builders (Gideon, Gabe, Kai NRG, NiceMarmot, qiadris) 14 Builds (we sure need more!) Avalonia: Top Builder: Wedge09 (5) 7 builders (Wedge09, mpoh98, Penkid11, HammerBro33 - what's with the numbers? - de Gothia, -Carson Haupt-, Simon_S - thought he was Nocty?) 19 builds -- I think this part in particular might be out-dated. Seems like some of the Avalonian builders have built more, just not edited them into the Registration Thread.-- Mitgardia (groan): Top Builder: Jeroenaa (19) 13 builders (soccerkid6, Garmadon, SlimShady, Yooha, Janatale, RondalusMaxus, Gunman, Tomsche, Jodocus, kabel, jeroenaa, lenjoyLego89 - interesting how many of those are new!) (Oh, brother, here we go...) 89 builds. Whew. Nocturnus: Top Builder: Legonardo (6) 5 builders (so we aren't loosing! Cool. - The Architect, Captain Flint, Legonardo, Lord Vladivius, Captain Settle) 16 builds (maybe we are) Do note that if you haven't posted your builds (or all your builds) in the Free Build Registration thread, I haven't counted them. Well, that was a fun waste of time... Kaliphlin really needs to hit the gas! Hopefully the Sultans gate will help with that. And to those of you who entered the Life and Death challenge, I think you actually can post those in the Free Build thread, Rogueang seemed to imply that. Well, I guess I really got it now... -
Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Kai NRG replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thought it would be interesting to compare who had highest post count in this thread versus the old one - top seven here are: Gideon 86 NiceMarmot 62 SkaForHire 54 Kai NRG 51 gedren_y 42 Gabe 42 Mike S 36 But in the old thread the top seven are: Damaximus 265 SkaForHire 250 NiceMarmot 234 Mike S 218 Kai NRG 193 robuko 137 Kayne 131 Apparently NM and Ska are the best at keeping their places... actually MK (or MS) and I are the only others who made it into both lists! Of all the other guild members, the only two that have more posts than Gideon on their home guild page are Infernum (130 - ) and kabel (93). Okay, that may not have been particularly relevant - but I found it interesting. -
Thanks Gideon! Yeah, you would have to have a massive sheep for two of 'em. Not sure how you would attach them either... You never know... I think you could come up with some nice uses...

That's odd. Do you mean that the button just isn't working? Try saving the map and opening it with paint and then just putting a dot wherever you need it. -

Yeah, I was realizing I never did do a MOC in Auner... ahem. One of these days Ageven will settle down... maybe. -

If you're using Windows, it's a program. That's the idea, but if you just never get around to it - well... Also, it's preferable that you don't double post (two in a row), just edit your previous one. -
Do you mean this? I'm afraid it wouldn't work too well - nor do I have many of those!

Ambush in the Cerean Pass - Book II Challenge 1A
Kai NRG replied to HammerBro's topic in Guilds of Historica
I agree with Eryn that it's more of a 'fight scene' then a battle scene, but I'll give you credit for the other two UP claims! Those rocks are particularly good! -
+1 UP DoH for both your claims. And since I didn't get to comment on the MOC before, Great idea! I like the contrast between the dark bley fortification and light bley rocks, and the dark red works really well!

As you only need one credit for the logging I give it to you. Admittedly not very big logs but since you do have a felled tree there I think you can claim it legitimately. Just at first glance though, I would have agreed with Ska... so the moral of that was, try to make it more obvious next time!
-
+1 UP Credit for the roof rakes, tree(s), and rockwork. I have to agree with Gabe that though there maybe some good 1x1 technique 'behind the bricks', if we can't see it we can't really approve it! Other than that, your tree is really neat and I like that roof!

Thanks Gedren. I was afraid that had gone completely under the radar! Thanks! I wish I had an army too... not enough binoculars! Thanks Gunman!

Nice build, the white leaves work great and the way the fig is holding the reins is great! I do think the white tiles used as snow look a touch blocky in comparison to the leaves, but good landscaping nonetheless! I have the same question...

Thanks gedren, great work there! I'll try to go through those and see which ones I haven't hit yet. They got quite a feast then! Or maybe the other way around... we're the most 'family-like' (despite the vast stretches of empty desert!), so we didn't loose people to other guilds and kept our core membership? -
Great job! I'm not a huge fan of grill bricks, but they work fairly well in this setting, and the castle's overall shape is great! Lots of neat details too and I really like your rockwork here!

Nah, they just sort of resurrect... Good to see you back! Unfortunately, they're pretty penniless most of the time too. They were talking about making checks in your name...
