  1. I'm looking for credits for Studs up Rocks and Cliffs (Landscape Design), Tree #2 (Landscape Design), Crop Farming (Agriculture and Zoology), Mountains or Cliffs (Geography) for my Micro Village.
  2. Ageven has finally made the decision to start up his own little town on one of the Kaliphlin peninsulas. As a first step he had Rex make a model of the layout. Of course the most essential part is Ageven's Castle up on the cliffs! Ageven is hoping the location will prove a good one agriculturally, but he isn't sure yet. Still, it looks nice in the model! Another overview: Comments are welcome! I'm not completely sure that water technique fit the scale, but I hope it turned out all right. I'd also like UoP credits for Studs up Rocks and Cliffs (Landscape Design), Crop Farming (Agriculture and Zoology), Mountains or Cliffs (Geography). Thanks for taking a look!
  3. Thanks Gabe! Cracked and baking mud makes sense, I could see that!
  4. Got to love that dark blue roof! And the tilts to the walls are amazing!
  5. Great build LV, I like the modular style with the three levels! Nice touch of realism calling Erudhalion 'Sahib', too!
  6. I have taken somewhere around 90 pictures before, but that's usually a larger build that requires multiple shots! Over 1 GB is quite a few though!
  7. Thanks! Thanks Gideon! As per the usual, I took upwards of 25 pictures, and ended up with half a dozen that looked almost exactly the same!
  8. Great little buid SK, really like the way you did the roof, the irregular base, and the log cabin. My only nitpicks would be the door doesn't quite stand out enough, and the tree trunks are a little large for the rest of the tree (but since you had to stick a technic pin in there, I can understand that). +1 on the UoP credit!
  9. Thanks Rogue! I love using hands for all sorts of things! They're so versatile!
  10. Thanks Gideon! Yes, I see your point about the FP there. Something I'll have to keep in mind for next time!
  11. Man, Gideon, you really went for it! I'm totally with you on the LEGO prices being cheaper in the States though... that's where I am now and I have trouble walking out of a Walmart without spending $50!
  12. Great continuation MOC, mass editor! The amount of dk grey slopes you have is mindboggling! I'm sure they're healthier.
  13. Great curved effect with the body there! I'd like to know what happens when the serpent dives though...
  14. Thanks everyone! Thanks! Yes... but you're not supposed to know that he only has one eye!
  15. Thanks guys! Thanks! I built this for the CC part challenge, so I had to use the airtank piece... otherwise I don't know that I would ever have built something like this! Thanks, I'm glad you think the tiles work well! I might be using that technique again in the future!
  16. Nice job! Good work including an interior! +1 for the two credits!
  17. I'd like to apply for credits for swamp (Geography) for my A Day on the Mud build.
  18. My latest free build. Not the micro castle and village I was talking about. That one is marching right along, but it will probably be a couple of days yet!
  19. Quack! Quack! A Kaliphlinian duck goes for a stroll. Just a quick forced perspective scene. I had wanted to see how using brown tiles for smooth mud would work, and I think it was fairly effective. I went on or off whether or not to post this here... in the end, I figured if Stranded made the cut, this should! I'd like to claim UoP credit for swamp (Geography). Thanks for looking!
  20. @Gabe, I'd assume that it would be possible to decline any challenge (I signed up for the LoR one quite a while ago, but haven't participated recently, without any problems or hassle). As for length, LoR specifies (I believe) a default deadline of two weeks for building, one week for other members to judge. The building deadline can be extended or otherwise if both builders agree. We could run off a similar system if we wanted to. Personally, I think it would be a pretty good idea, but I'm not sure if we should make it a long term installment; likely it would either fade out or bury other just plain free-builds.
  21. Thanks MS!
  22. Definite improvement on the bank and water there! Your grass/foliage is looking good as well!
  23. If layering dk tan isn't going to work because of piece limitations, I'd get rid of either the tan or the brown. I think both what Gabe and I were trying to say is that the brown shouldn't come into direct contact with the tan - mud wouldn't be in direct contact with dry sand; it would wet the sand it's touching. Also, if it's a shallow ford, using a lighter blue (whether bricks or 1x1 round plates or 1x2 tiles/plates, depends on you and your collection) or even trans-clear, would make the fact that it's shallow much more obvious. Okay, that would probably help out the overall feel. Sometimes though, it is okay to finish the landscaping and then add figs, as it's easy enough to re-arrange afterwards, but harder to see the overall effect after the figs are placed (especially if you intend to take a figless shot). Just in general, I agree with ME; less color is often better (another time when less is more )!
  24. Another excellent MOC from you... especially love the way you did those rugs!
  25. I'm planning on a SG build too... but then I've been planning that for the past couple months and haven't gotten very far! Right now I'm working on a microscale village & castle, about 40 by 30 studs (mostly SNOT, so I'm not sure of the exact size). Should be done in a little under a week, max.
