  1. Cute use of those turtles! I also really like that little hovercraft!
  2. Thank you LJ! Now to just come up with something even better...
  3. Thanks Mike S! Thank you! Thanks LJ!
  4. Just going by the fact that these two builds (one, two) got the same exact score... no. Of course, even the second one has a slight smattering of story, but that's quite easy to do! On the other hand, it's true that pombe's and Big Sal's storylines get good scores, but at least with regards to pombe, that's probably partially because of the amount of builds he uses for one story. Besides, that's pretty much always been the case!
  5. 43 to Bob please as well!
  6. Um... isn't that what this thread is supposed to be? Likely it could be made a touch more user-friendly (more indents, larger fonts for the headings, put the edit log at the bottom, etc.), and could also have a brief run down of the GoH history - speaking of which, what would that be anyways? Some guy named Victor Revolword tried to take things over and failed miserably. However, he did succeed in killing off Historica's King and plunging the guilds into dire confusion. So, enter Book II, where each guild, by way of bringing in some order to the chaos, had a civil war and now things are more messed up than ever! Edit: Also it is missing the quick run down about each guild. But that wouldn't be hard to put together. Like; Kaliphlin, land of the hot sands. Land of parched and burning deserts and roaming nomads. Towards the western and southern coasts salty breezes filter in, until you hit the ocean itself. Turn North, and meet the wooded area of Eastgate (wait, I'm all confused. Aren't we on the western coast? Never eat soggy waffles. Oh, okay. So never mind, we turned toward the eastern and southern coast.), slowly merging into Avalonia. Turn South, and wet your feet in the boggy marshes or take a boat ride out to the island of Gorr. Or, if you want to get into some hot water, take a vacation at the disputed island of Al Esterbroke. Head West for the under-explored region of the Rakath Mountains, and beyond that, the secluded bays and inlets bordering and the ocean. Up just a little higher and you start to step on dangerous ground, where pumpkin pies just might gobble you up. Turn around and come right back as soon as you catch a glimpse of that Nocturnus sign! Right in the center lies Kaliphlin's glorious capital - Petraea.... etc. Actually, that was getting a little long, and I haven't even got to the great escarpment and Ulandus. (Kaliphlin is pretty big!) Neither have I really delved into anything but geography. And so far it's probably been pretty confusing, unless like me you've memorized the map! Perhaps geography should be left out of the rundown? On the other hand, I would imagine that most if not all potential joiners would read the guild topics, or at least the topic of the guild they lean to. So maybe a description of each one is not necessary in the new member's guide?
  7. Thanks Bregir!
  8. Very nice build, you did a great job castleifying that space set! I particularly like the angled spears and flags instead of laser beams! Nice technique for the ladder too, though it looks rather difficult to climb!
  9. It might be occupied. I can't remember. I didn't pay much attention to that. "Don't tell me what we're fighting about, just tell me where."
  10. Excellent build! Great texture on the houses and the dashes of bright green add a lot! The cage and clock tower are both really cool too. If I may point out one thing - given all the texture everywhere else, perhaps you could add (or, have added) a bit of texture to some of the roofs? However, that's a very minor detail on a fantastic MOC! Great job!
  11. Auner of course! Actually since I don't exactly want that place torn by the ravages of war perhaps we should pick something else. Technically we still have Xerxia, it's just that the First Centurion is banished. Don't see why the capital has to follow that guy around though (in fact this is a good time for a coup ), so it could stick at Xerxia for me! It seems to me that the logical thing to do is to strike a treaty between Ulandus and the HC, since I don't really feel like being the third party to an elephant's war all by me lonesome. (BTW, Barqa was the HC capital all through the war; Petraea was neutral most of the time.)
  12. But then of course, no one is actually from Ulandus, it's just a few High Councillors that decided to cheer for the underdog (quite literally the underdog!). Ulandus could completely disappear beneath the waves again for all that would affect Ageven or probably anyone else, for that matter! Certainly I could care less about the First Centurion being banished. Less competition for good ol' Exalted Third Centurion Ageven Deraim. @Gideon, I agree, this could open up some great storyline possibilities. The big difference that I see between us and Nocty though is the fact that we don't get another challenge this book, and I'm not sure if it would be considered kosher for just a collaborative storyline to change Kaliphlin that radically. I'm all for a change though!
  13. No idea when the winners will be announced, but like as not, not for a while. And of course, that will influence the outcome (though the DK probably still won), so there's no saying that even an accurate map of the Category C outcome would really be an accurate map of DK control - and of course, supposing the DK won the challenge, what does that mean after all? Since there are precious few "grassroots" Kaliphlinians even mildly in favor of the DK, I don't suppose he'll stay in power long.
  14. Thanks! Yes, he will certainly have to do something to it, because I've already demolished it. I haven't quite figured out what yet, but that's a good suggestion!
  15. Thanks everyone! I'm really glad my experimental landscaping was such a hit! Yep, I sure didn't have much dark red left over! Thanks! Flowing over the base is a must when you start running out of black tiles. Thanks!
  16. Thanks Lord Dan!
  17. You got a couple of those plants I see! One of your best labs yet, I think! I especially like the roof top but of course the interior is excellent as well! I really like the little side "story" of the blue and green plant, and the two eyed leaf in the corner is pretty neat as well!
  18. Very nice lab, the smash-up is great and there are some neat details to look at too!
  19. Very nice MANTIS train, I really like the various cars, and the engine of course looks excellent!
  20. @Pombe, Too funny!
  21. Excellent base, I really like the use of green and lime green and the circular patters are great!
  22. Very nice snowscape, really like that little speeder too! Good touch with the olive leaves!
  23. Excellent job with both the footprints and the tracks, I also really like the smooth landscape!
  24. Great interior! The floor did indeed turn out very nicely, and the little droids look pretty cute too!
