[Challenge 2] [Cat B] Octan Extender-class medium tanker
Kai NRG replied to LucasLaughing's topic in AG1 Archive
Very nice work, I especially like the underside cockpit, and the yellow goes along really well! The boom looks great too! -
[Challenge 2] [Cat. B] Stinger, Class B Battlecruiser
Kai NRG replied to soccerkid6's topic in AG1 Archive
Very nice cruiser SK! The asymmetrical shape looks great to me, and there's lots of neat details to spot all over this - the way you did the back thrusters for instance, I really like the use of trash can tops (or whatever the technical name is) upside down! The dashes of dark brown give a nice break from the lime and black, and the first edited shot is fantastic!- 16 replies

Very nice stable! Good work with the ground texture, and several neat details like the saddle holders! Your building skills are improving, keep it up!

Thanks Bob!

Super impressive ship! From the top shot especially, it has a bit of a dragonfly look, which is really cool!

UoP Doh / Husbandry Challenge - 'Fishing'
Kai NRG replied to Covenant84's topic in Guilds of Historica
Neat scene! I'll give you a +1 on the claims as well, but next time I'll be hoping for some slightly better pictures. My advice is to take it outside in the shade. Also, do your best to get the camera in focus (use the little flower symbol, macro) and keep the ISO down (more light should help with that). That would make your build so much nicer to look at! Also, just a head's up - it's not necessary to put UoP DoH on the front of your topic. Just as long as you mention the claims in your post and let us know in the DoH thread (which you did) you're good!- 13 replies

Is there any particular reason why my build only got two extra dom. points (presumably the missing one is the spaceship one, but I had a ship in the build), and why I didn't get my job bonus? Just checkin'!

Thanks Garmadon! Thank you! Glad you like the bottom! For some reason my vehicles always look weird at the beginning unless I put an elaborate bottom, then by the time I get to the end, it's like, duh, you can't even see the bottom!

Really like the little speeder and the bright colors of the jungle foliage are great!

Well, I've got to say, that looks like a pretty uncomfortable position. Guess that's why they call them "claw hands"! Neat interior, good work with the angles!

Great work with the spiral! That drone looks pretty cool too!

Kyrrath Old Mill (Husbandry-minichallenge)
Kai NRG replied to jaapxaap's topic in Guilds of Historica
Neat work, especially on the blades but the landscaping is really well done too! -
The dragon looks really good here, but what stands out to me is the gnarled tree trunk - fantastic! Really like the jagged, gap filled rockwork as well and the subtle beginnings of a cemetery fit right in!

Thanks guys! Thanks Kodan! I'm glad you like the Octan logo, I thought it was a great way to get it really small, so I'll probably be doing it again! Thanks goatman! I thought of that briefly at the beginning but I didn't have enough dark tan slopes to do it the same way as with the light tan. Plus I don't have nearly as much texturing pieces in dark tan as in light tan. Thank you! Actually, I used two spinners. I used to think they were completely useless, but now that I've started building Sci-fi, perhaps my massive spinner collection will come in handy!

Very nice lab, I really like how clean it looks! Great incorporation of that ringed tube, and the crystal testing sections are pretty neat!

Which apparently is pretty much what spying is anyways. Still, you've got to admit, that ruins some really nice vacation breaks.

Location: F08 Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle, Airplane Welcome to the beaches of Raudon! Time to do some water harvesting! Good thing I got this nifty new vacuum machine! Hmm... I know they said this thing should never be turned on full blast... but what do they know? *whrrrl bzzzz whoooosssshhhh* Coolio! *bzzzz shhhhggggcktz trrrrroorrrrr* Wonder if it's supposed to make all those weird clanky noises? *whrrrwhooopfrroom meemaameemaa!* *water tank fills up beyond capacity and pre-explosion alarm sounds* Auggg! Get me out of here! Run! *kkkrakkkpow bang!* Roger! This is Guy K. Wynd! Please send the nearest Octan personnel to get me out of here! Roger that, Guy. I'm headed your way! I'm waiting! Hop on! Whew. Thanks, Jed! No problem. I got some good news for you, by the way. And some bad news too. Let's hear the good news first. Okay. I found your camera! Wow! You did! That's awesome! But... what's the bad news? Well... I lost it again on G09. What?! You lost my camera? I'm gonna... No, wait! We're going to craaaash... Oops. More pictures! First, an overview: Now a couple of figless and vehicleless shots: Jedediah's Octan QuikFlyr: Guy's Water Vacuum (which took me about as long as the entire rest of the build! ): And since I spent a good deal of time working on the bottom: By far my largest build for AG, and also my second largest ever. A lot of fun as a matter of fact, I really enjoyed the landscaping part. It's true that the vacuum machine was a bit of a pain though. Comments and criticism are welcome! Thanks for your time!

Great series of builds shmails, the last one especially looks really nice, great tree!

That scout ship looks fantastic! Really great shape and the greebles are spot on!

That's because this is ceremonial, so to speak. Who would want to stand around on a bunch of mud just to see the first stone laid down? Thanks!

Looks like Bob has got his hands full! Lots of neat stuff to look at here, I really like those bones lying around and the alien peeking out from the rock is very funny! I also really like that board! Guy might have to get himself one of those!
