    The cobblestone is designed very well. I also really like the blue windows for a nice contrast. Good MOC :thumbup:

    The gold belly for Smaug is a really nice touch! That really sticks out to me; I don't think I've seen it done before.

    That is quite the collection. Did you get the custom capes from a vendor or did you make them yourself?

    The build is pretty good. If he's going for more of a forest look, he may want to make the trees taller. He might would want to add a couple more trees as well. As it sits now, this kind of looks like these are really young trees, and not much of a forest. Otherwise than that, this is a pretty good build. Is the brook/river, suppose to be moving or still?

    The lighting is superb! I really like how this MOC creates a filled forest look.

    Tired of Elven politics, King Syven takes his family out to the Ryl River in Avaria.     Several members of the Black Lance Guild figured a B ranked quest would be a breeze. Unfortunately, while questing for the stone idol, several desert warriors emerged from the sands, hoping to bury the guild members among the philosopher's ruins. Though they are slightly outnumbered, they are still more than capable of winning this battle. ------------------------------------------------------ Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC.     "Woe to those who enter the Tarith Mountains. For they are home to dangerous dark forces." A saying that is rarely heeded by many adventurers. Those who trek through these mountains usually find themselves as victims to the terrain or are slain by the warlock, Necros. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Additional Pictures ---------------------------------------------------------- Warlock Necros I took a lot of inspiration for this fig from Armothe's sigfig on Brickforge.     Well this is certainly off to a good start in my opinion. It's good that you are mixing the types of gray blocks with sand-green blocks to avoid big, gray wall syndrome. I think the right side looks good at the moment. If you need some ideas for castle stuff I'd look at: http://classic-castle.com/howto/articles.html Specifically the section for buildings. I know I've gone back and read those articles many times when brainstorming for ideas. Keep up the good work though

    That is quite the fig and horse you got there! The assortment of pieces from BW is awesome. This has to be your best custom fig yet.

    This actually looks pretty good. One thing you may want to do is elevate the land portion so it is not on the same level as the water.

    Samurai and Ninja factions for the win! After that, we never got another Eastern castle theme again (I wouldn't count Ninjago in this line up since it's more of an action theme).

    Slopes, mixtures of plants, and other bricks. It's mostly up to you how you want to go about it. I just figured those would help.

    Sorry to say this, but with finals approaching, and an even worse semester following this, I'm going to be leaving GoH for a long period of time. Hope the challenges go well!
