Interesting interpretation, but no. It is actually a healing spell being cast by the other person.

Let's move on to the next important lesson. Along your journeys as an adventurer, you will come across those who require your help. As you continue to assist others, you will one day gain favor with many people; some of which have very influential power, or have other benefits. These people typically represent different organizations or factions, that one day might become very good allies. This leads us to... Tip #17 - Get some allies! You never know when a wayward group of knights, or the power of nobility, or anyone else might provide benefits. You never know who will be ready to assist you one day. For all you know, acquiring the aid of random groups of people may one day aid you in your time of need! ------------------------------------------------------- Stay tuned for more HNGK: Volume 2 Hope you enjoyed the MOC. While the Wintershield Guild pursued the advancing Hislithians, Lokren and Edorin had taken their fight into the forest. Both were skilled warriors; neither of them seemed to tire the other out. "This is going to be your last battle Lokren!" Edorin yelled as he delivered a fierce, horizontal slash. Lokren parried the strike then started his assault. "You have spilled innocent blood! You and your men will pay!" Edorin pushed him away with his shield then gained some distance. "What innocents are you speaking of!?" "We found a boy and his younger sibling dead at a signal fire! A Hislithian arrow was in his body." "Hislithians have not used a bow in ages..." Edorin could not finish his statement. Both warriors heard a rustle in the trees; it sounded as if someone was running through the forest towards them. From the top of the trees, two figures in dark equipment jumped towards the two. The first assailant dove towards Edorin, only to feel the brunt force of his shield. As he fell back, Edorin quickly removed the assailant's lead hand then finished him off with a stab. The other assailant managed to knock Lokren over, but found the old Nord to be more than he could handle. As his scuffle continued, he turned to see Edorin charging directly at him. Rather than staying to fight, he darted off into the forest, leaving his fallen comrade. Edorin stuck his sword in the ground and helped Lokren stand. "Mehrunes spit! That was a close one!" Lokren stated as he tried to gather his breath. The two warriors walked towards the fallen assailant and examined his gear. "This looks like a member of the Black Hand." Edorin stated grimly. Lokren searched one of the pouches of the assailant and found a small note; his eyes lit up as he read the note. "This is a contract out on both of us!" "I guess that explains the recent events then." Edorin stared in the direction of the Hislith fortress; he could hear an explosion off in the distance. "We should probably get this information to both our men; we have some... clarifications to make." Lokren sighed then gathered himself. The two set off towards the fortress. Lokren hoped that his guild had not done too much damage already. -------------------------------------- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. It is a well known fact that people do not get along. It is also a well known fact that the four guilds do not get along all the time either. However, a little known fact is that the guildmasters do not necessarily get along too well. I find myself meeting with the other guildmasters to determine some form of a way to test our guild's prowess.Unfortunately, it seems that we can neither come up with a neutral location nor come up with a set of tasks or criteria for evaluation. Edorin has already shown disapproval to Lokren's suggestions; he even made it more clear as he hurled his goblet of wine across the room. Lord Svelos had suggested the Black Mountain, which was not far off from the Highlands, but it is far too close to the Drow ruins. The last thing I want is for some ancient being to wake up and pay us a visit... After several hours of debate, we seemed to come up with a good spot. We figured the Valley of Yra in Avaria would be a perfect location. It is away from everyone and it has plenty of room to set up an arena. We also decided it would be best to have a tournament to test the strength of our guilds. I can only hope that we can come up with a set of rules before morning. - Kain Talon, Guildmaster ------------------------------------------- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. Now let us continue with the tips. Meet... Paladin George Wells. This adventurer discovered he had a talent for using holy magic and quickly joined the Paladin Order. After receiving ample training, he decided to go do good deeds. He protected many, but ultimately received renown for slaying the under boss of an infamous underworld gang. People praised him for being strong and standing up against injustice. One night after adventuring, George decided to camp out underneath a tree. However... he was unaware that the same gang pulled their gold together to hire a professional assassin to kill him. To make matters worse, George did not sleep with his armor on! Needless to say... he never saw it coming. This leads us to Tip #15 - Be careful where you choose to rest! Not all places that you rest at are secure. This also applies to certain inns and taverns! - AND - Tip #16 - Unless you happen to be one of those heroines that has the sleep armor spell or something, always keep your armor on if you sleep in insecure areas. Things like snake bites and spider bites (or anything else) might possibly be stopped by your regular armor. ------------------------------------- Additional Pictures Stay tuned for more HNGK: Volume 2 Hope you enjoyed the MOC. At the first sight of the opposing force, battle broke out. All that could be heard from the base of the mountain was the sound of weapons clashing and the screams of dying soldiers. Both sides fought fiercely; any doubts or concerns left the minds of the leaders as they fought. The only words that were said before the battle: "Lokren is mine." Claimed Edorin. "Leave Edorin to me." Barked Lokren. The battle seemed long, but ended quickly. By that time, both Edorin and Lokren had disappeared into the nearby forest to settle the matter. The Hislithians were forced to retreat as Commander Valcen fell. As they retreated, the rest of the Nords pushed towards the Hislithian fortress. The only ones still fighting were Edorin and Lokren. And they were alone... ----------------------------------------- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. As usual Decals by Saber-Scorpion C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!

Tip #14 - Do not be afraid to flee from battle. Only fools believe that retreating is for cowards. Sometimes you will just need to come up with a better plan or bring more people. -------------------------------- Additional Pictures ---------------------------- Stay tuned for more HNGK Volume 2 Hope you enjoyed the MOC. The air was exceptionally cold today. Hislithians were never fond of cold weather; they were bitter even more because of the Nords. Edorin lead the advance on foot, but even he felt something bad in the air. He did not have much time to dwell on that thought; battle lied ahead of him, and the other officers needed him to be at his best. Both Marcus and Valcen knew this would be bloody. Everyone readied themselves on the way to battle. ------------------------------------------- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. As usual C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!

Yeah I know. I've tried getting better with smaller scale photos, but I'm not quite sure of a big picture set up. Any chance you have any links to one? Thanks in advance!

I will probably build up one of my many castle armies (including nobility, siege weapons, etc.) Edited the original post to include good links.

4.75 years in the making. 39 inches tall. Over $2000 spent. It is done! The home to the members of the BLG. This home lies in between the kingdoms of Ankora and Hislith. Originally, this land was gifted to Kain's father, who assisted the king of Hislith with a dangerous task. The guildhouse is built of ebony and gold, and has stood here since the time of Kain's father. After his death, the guildhouse fell into disorder and eventually was locked. No one entered or exited. Sometime after 3E49, the guildhouse lit up once more as Kain attempted to restart to BLG. --------------------------------------------------------- Additional Pictures A statue of a woman. Possibly believed to be a great warrior. ------------------------------------------- For those who have followed this project over the past years, thank you! The men's barracks contain a bed for each member of the guild. Each member is also entitled to an end table drawer where they can stash some personal goods. On the other side, is the female barracks. Compared to the men's side, the female barracks are more lavish. Along with having a personal place to stash their goods, this side was given an enclosed area for bathing, a fireplace, a small carpet, and a dresser where towels can be found. Some male members have questioned why they do not have these luxuries. According to the GM, he believed it was more important that everyone have a place to rest; he also stated that there were several bodies of water in the surrounding land where they could clean themselves. ------------------------------------------------ It has been really fun making this! I can't wait to start on my next big project. Hope you enjoyed the MOC. As usual... Decals by Saber-Scorpion C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!

Chapter 3: You and "Shiny Things" Last chapter, I gave you some information about keeping your eyes peeled for loot and being prepared by having a bag. However, it is time I talk about something else that is equally as important. Many adventurers are slain by greed; because they chose to go for the loot first, they promptly died. As you read in chapter 1, mimics are one of the various traps out in the wild that can kill even the most skilled adventurers. However, today you will learn about another one. Let me begin by introducing you to... Sir Adeval the Hawk. Adeval is a new knight. Having completed his training, he set out to become an accomplished adventurer. After succeeding in a couple of treasure hunts, he was given a challenge to hunt a wayward knight. In his quest, he managed to defeat the knight and claim quite a Jousting Helmet of Fire Resistance. Rumors of his heroism began to spread, and soon he was hired to retrieve the Scorpion Chalice from a dangerous dungeon. After surviving countless encounters... his goal was finally in sight. The chalice was nice and shiny, and he found himself immediately drawn towards it. He ascended the small stairs then reached for the chalice. Unfortunately... if was quite a nasty little trap. To make matters worse, these fires burned much hotter than any other flame he had ever seen. He panicked as his knight garbs were set ablaze. Needless to say... he did not live too long. Apparently, no one ever told him about "shiny things." This brings me to Tip #13 Tip #13 - Beware of shiny things! This includes bright crystals, strange orbs, mounds of gold, bright lights, chalices, and many other bright and shiny objects. Adventurers tend to believe that these are the goals they are after, and some will even slay their fellow adventurers to achieve these objects. However, many of these objects have dangerous curses or traps surrounding them. It is a general rule to believe that all treasures generally have deadly traps. Humanity and elven kind seem to believe primitive creatures such as goblins are the most easily enticed by the shiny things; my records would clearly show, that humanity (especially adventurers) are usually the ones who are easily enticed. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope you enjoy the MOC. Lokren grabbed his guildsmen and marched towards the shores. Men and women of valor grabbed arms to defend their ways. Everyone had malice for the Hislithian soldiers. They would not go unpunished for their offenses. Everyone knew it was time for retribution. But even as they marched towards the western shore of Northshire, Lokren knew something was amiss; he did not know what, but he had a feeling he would not like what he found. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC.
