  1. The size and level of detail here is mind-blowing, and knowing it's only a part of the build is even more impressive! Have fun displaying it again
  2. Very nice build, I especially like the houses and how they convey the feeling of a relatively dense medieval city. I also like how you have included a piece of good looking medieval machinery. My only nitpick is that I think the road is a tad plain compared to the rest of the build (especially considering it's the foreground), some small changes in elevation and/or some more details would have looked better imho.
  3. Lovely landscaping and excellent story, can't wait to read what's about to happen next!
  4. Great series! So many nice figure combinations and very good lore as well
  5. Gideon gladly takes a detour on his way to Benoic to stop a few nights here
  6. Gideon is sad to hear of the passing of the Bishop. There will be a memorial parade held in Barqa at the next full moon. Ooc: Lovely interior! I think the plain white but somewhat ornate exterior looks great when I know this is part of a higher tower
  7. Very nice shapes and use of color! Great to have you here in GoH
  8. Just because various kinds of exotic orientations of studs are getting common in rockwork doesn't mean that well-built studs up rocks has become less good looking. I hope you enjoy LW and will come back there another year, I'm planning to exhibit there next year again...I'm involved in two different Swebrick community builds and I think at least one of them will be possible to display in February 2016
  9. Very unexpected but funny scene, and great landscaping! UoP +1 for the claims.
  10. The fireplace is my favorite here, it reminds me of peat fired fireplaces I saw in old pubs in western Ireland
  11. Nice terrain and pavement, I like how the mix between rectangular and round tiles are giving a very solid yet still irregular look to the paving Regarding the background, it looks a bit disconnected from how the light falls on the bricks. A backdrop usually is brighter closer to the camera = at the lower end of the frame.
  12. Mitgardian local challenge or barrage of builds coming up?
  13. Very nice scene(s)! Love how Thorshaven is growing and growing A friendly advice however is to dust off your build before taking the photos, at least of the parts you are doing closeups of
  14. Thanks guys! @Mike S: The Aslanic Order look too good to not be included And I really like the idea of a military religous order similar to the Crusader orders, so they will probably make more cameos in my builds.
  15. Very nice Kali build, great to have you visiting our sunny lands! It's always fun to see builds that are built from the simple joy of trying to build something new I think the texturing/detailing of both the ground and the tower fits the size of the build very well.
  16. The "official storyline downtime" between the previous challenge deadline and the new being announced is an excellent time to flesh out your own part of Historica and your characters Make sure to check out the various "standing tasks" that Bregir wrote about, especially HSS and UoP can be great inspiration to try new kinds of builds and/or new techniques!
  17. Another great part of your impressive build I see, I was a bit puzzled by this when I saw the castle at LFW
  18. Thank you! However, we usually do not bump threads this old (unless there are very specific circumstances). It's hard enough to keep track of all the new builds without old ones popping up again on the first page
  19. Wow, that was an impressive post! So many nice builds I will have to go back again and see all the details Edit: A highlight of each build in my opinion: - The sloping/rounded walls of the black and white tent - The wooden upper part of the house, especially the gable - The topography sloping down towards the road, which feels very natural - The roof in disrepair on the castle, the crenelations, the landscaping and how the castle fits so well into the landscape (couldn't narrow it down to just one single thing )
  20. Interesting wall technique! I'm also impressed that you have yet again squeeced in such a detailed interior in your build. (I probably should not try to translate what "Fjollum" sounds like in Mitgardian Swedish btw... )
  21. Excellent build! So much to like here...the details on the tower (like the windows and the unlit beacon), the landscaping (especially the foliage) and of course the armored beast. Keep up the great work!
  22. Another great swamp design from you, I really like the mangrove look of the trees
  23. Thanks everyone! The palm tree trunk design is not originally mine, I believe I saw it somewhere on this forum...
  24. Great idea, congratulations for the awesome gift! And of course, keep up the great work
  25. Clever use of that animal
