Except there is even more incentive to build in BoBS because of the cumulative value of certain builds... Seems like we are in the same boat... Two kids, GoH and BoBS, well I also have AG as well... BoBS seems to be winning all my building time though which is why I wasn't thrilled for it to begin with. -

I was actually thinking the same thing as Sir Stig... I haven't heard of any other trade company besides MAESTRO, well other than mention like the non-joinable empires like Varcoast and Mardier...- 780 replies

The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
Mike S replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I believe Belson would be considered old world while any colonies east including Tiberia would be considered new world. But I also would like to be sure because I also planned on registering a property in Tiberia- in Arlinsport to be specific, the first HQ of the Coyle Shipping Company.- 897 replies

"Consulting the cargo roll chart, we can see the modifier for traveling through four zones and rolling a 1 is 50%" Where exactly is the cargo roll chart or is that a secret game mechanics thing?

The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion

First off thanks for the response. The ship is one "mid-section" shorter than the Imperial Flagship but is slightly taller and wider than the flagship. Similarly it has a dedicated lower deck for 8 cannons, 4 to each side. As Aiden is penniless at the moment, it would be sort of out of character for him to own property so I was going to do free builds of him exploring once his ship is repaired. I kind of figured the folks at the Royal Society of Navigation and Discovery (and perhaps even the queen since the ship will be painted her favorite colors) would sponsor his voyage to discover new land once they became aware of his ship. Aiden would expect that his sponsors be given a percentage of the profits.- 897 replies

Are we going to have a private chat for Corrington's MRCA? Also any way I can get a discount on a caravel license if I don't have any other ship?- 897 replies

Thats a really cool swamp house! Nicely done!

The in character answer is that the flood waters from the hurricane of 607 damaged this portion of the wall and since the queen lowered taxes, the budget has not yet been approved for repairing the upper section of the wall. Out of character answer is that this was originally for GoH but has sat on a shelf for over a year so thought to finally post it somewhere.

Nice build! I especially like the dense tree cover!

No they are black technic connectors. I do plan to take better photos of this just when I'm home I like to spend the time building rather or something else rather than trying to take better photos. But as photography is more important than building skills when showing your builds online, I do intend to take professional photos of everything that I've built so far that needs better photos. Thing is if I decide to devote the time to photography, I will end up not posting anything at all.

The log of Captain Aiden Coyle. INITIAL ENTRY: I am penniless. I do not even have the coin to pay the docking fee at the port of Belson. I have anchored offshore and taken the dinghy to the beach that the local fishermen use to launch their fishing boats from. Accompanying me are John Quin, my first mate and former captain of this ship and Will Fletcher, our cabin boy. My first order of business is to find a way to earn some coin so that I can hire more crew and repair this ship. Perhaps then I will attempt to acquire a letter of marque and do some privateering if I have not found any other proper paying service for the ship. But hopefully there will be plenty of merchants wanting to ship cargo to the islands.... END OF ENTRY

The monument to the First Centurion that Lord Kral had commissioned has finally been completed in Blackrock. Rumor has it the Desert King flew into a rage and executed his agents that brought him the news.

The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
Mike S replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Aiden Coyle, the eldest son of Sir Dylan Coyle VI, pledges his loyalty to Corrington and the queen. The Coyle family owned several prosperous plantations and businesses throughout the Oleon Empire until seven years ago when Sir Dylan Coyle was suddenly accused of treason, stripped of his rank, and executed, his property confiscated. Aiden managed to escape with one of the family's ships narrowly evading Oleon's navy. He now joins Oleon's enemy, Corrington, waiting for a chance to exact revenge on the one's responsible for his family's misfortune. OOC: Doubt I will contribute much but I do have one or two incomplete "pirate" MOC's so might as well join up. Wasn't going to but Corrington's flag won me over.- 897 replies
