  1. There is also this type of 960 axion ...and could be built with 100% LEGO parts (but is not my favorite)... @zoo no offense but IMHO is very important that (my) mocs feature proper scaled width, so in case of 1:16.5 scale front axle should be 2 studs more narrow to gain 15 studs front track (distance between middle of tire). This model has width (at the front) for 1:15 scale because real tracks that are allowed to drive on road are max 2550mm wide Of course that is how I see making mocs influented by real thing, but there is a freedom of choice and LEGO limitations.
  2. If LEGO would only look up to you and make something like you did. It is very nice moc
  3. Interesting combo, but I do not know if scale fits... and futuristic (autonomous) excavator would be more suitable
  4. that is also possible to be done...I'll see both solutions and decide depending on suspension Thanks
  5. Thanks...I assume you have an idea for what it will be I was waiting for gear like this about 10 years or even more to make proper and narrow enough Tatra axle. But now back to Unimog optimisation because it is to heavy at the front...I'll post progress when I'll be satisfied with solution.
  6. Laddies and gentlemen, here are images for part of drivetrain for one my project that will feature Tatra suspension but it is not Tatra... My solution features new blue gear 20 tooth with clutch from Chiron. Perhaps this idea could be useful to someone...when tractor that uses this kind of suspension will be finished, I'll post it in my m machinery topic
  7. well to have "scars" and to see that something is aged also requires a lots of effort. what I really like usage of gear quarter wheels from BWE. Perhaps you can distribute cars evenly, but it looks Ok like this. Perhaps lime color with yellow is not my favorite, but parts limitation is always key point
  8. in my country Trabant is synonymous for something what is useless and worthless... and from states I remember Disneyland and Magic Mountain...but your interpretation is very nice, only if you have enough parts to make all "vehicles" the same or every second is the same...you understand what I mean (sorry for late response, but there is a time difference over big pond...)
  9. Yes, but important thing you made the right thing and not some sparks on wheels...playing with words is sometimes wired
  10. So far it looks good but you need few twitches here or there... when I saw Trabant in your title I was afraid that you decide to make this
  11. Despite small size it is instantly recognizable (as Citroen DS only could be). Really good MOC with respectable number of functions for such small size
  12. My Moc will not have entirely black chassis simply because there are no black frames 11 X 5, but what ever I can make in black it would be black (black is cool and since I make machinery inspired MOCs it is welcome fact that most of them have black chassis), cab would be orange and tilting bed would be light bluish gray. Currently I have few chassis versions, but most simple and most sturdy will be chosen...in my topic you can see how it looks like but need to be optimized for weight savings
  13. Despite the fact that is some 18 studs wide (much smaller than original LEGO set) overall savings on weight is always welcome, specially when steering causes headache... I'll send you chassis images when it will be finished and optimized...
  14. That is why I mostly buy sets on discount when they reach end of life cycle (2 or 3 years after introduction). In that case I got (half s year ago) Xerion for some 85€, about 2 years ago 42043 for 115€ (it had a bit damaged box and missing some parts that I got from LEGO afterwards...), few years ago set 42000 for 52€... I usually buy sets as parts pack to make MOCs, but now back to topics; today I was trying to make (as much as possible) black Unimog chassis, only I'm missing some 4 5 X 7 frames for this, so during next week I have brainstorming...
  15. Now it looks promising, what I like is a "framework", well probably because I use frames 5 X 7 and 5 X 11 as much as I can, they are relatively light and construction is very stiff. Usually this kind of machine use 6 cylinder engines, sometimes 4 but I could be outdated, so you will know what is best solution for your MOC
  16. That one could also be B model...it is more "Legendary" than LR, but garbage truck is great refreshment
  17. Probably made for really really big cherry tree
  18. this is only thing that I can say. It would be great official set the way you modified it.
  19. It looks that someone is impressed by Dodge charger Or did I mixed up things ? Anyway it looks to me as fun small size moc
  20. The fat one (in this exceptional case fat is OK)
  21. Honestly I have never paid attention to bending...perhaps is the reason that in ex-yugoslavia nothing worked so there was nothing to see...?
  22. Very nice small size combination it could fit Mack Anthem perfectly IMHO.
