  1. not soon enough probably at end of November or start of December ...
  2. I just hope that cab would not be to heavy
  3. Perhaps you could use linear actuators (they are more smooth when operating) instead of pneumatics on undercarriage (but fir this you would need additional axle to go to undercarriage...). You'll see what is the best. If you managed to make it work it would be better than original tracked loader / excavator...now when I see original I must admit that it is great MOC (despite still in development)
  4. It looks very interesting with this variety of colors like you own 42082 set. I like undercarriage
  5. I suppose you mean "Technic brick with holes" under term "old beams" like this https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3703#T=C
  6. Simply NO, because with beams (and specially frames 5 X 7 and 5 X 11) construction is much sturdier. Connectors are helpful but not base for building. Allow me to mention just one example - try to make LEGO Unimog U400 axles with beams and not frames I can only repeat @Bublehead and write once more @Erik Leppen +1
  7. I know that sometimes LEGO original parts are not the best for some of us (spoiled) users, but you also know what was my experience with non LEGO portal axle hub...
  8. I was hoping for 100% LEGO truck...
  9. Yes it virtually sticks to the road, but it is very sensitive to dust, small stones, moisture...a few mph to much and you end in the field (or as here in Croatia we said in the corn ), so when I had a chance for a few minute I was like a grandpa, even by using sequential shifter I was gentle... But I like old-timers better, they have soul...but that is another story, let's stick to topic
  10. Onboard always looks faster, just remember how Hollywood makes car chases scene's (especially in 60s a d 70s)
  11. It looks that we have more and more cute small mocs. Years ago one my friend had homologated rally version with 350bhp, 6 calliper brakes, slick tires...but this one is great indoor version. Very nice
  12. I understand. It is just that I do not like that something does not fit...or something is to long...
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from that image it looks like you use axle and not pin...and on image that I commented you use pin...
  14. this one is really cute and smaller tires are perfect here...
  15. Perhaps you can use here this one https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=32348&idColor=7#T=S&C=7&O={"color":7,"iconly":0} instead of that one https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6629&idColor=11#T=S&C=11&O={"color":11,"iconly":0} connected with this: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=18651&idColor=11#T=S&C=11&O={"color":11,"iconly":0} @Jim, I apologize for quoting picture, but I've just wanted to make my suggestion more understandable...
  16. I have as also notice that, but on inner side it is more intensive. Last summer we wanted to rebuild one of my mocs to full studless with frames and panels but black bodywork does not look nice with those lines.
  17. That crossed my mind... They are perfect for 1:16 scale (22.5” time has 585-590mm diameter...)
  18. I have one question, since you mostly build trucks...can this tire / rim combo be represented by LEGO 62.4 tire, or is it to obvious that LEGO tire has not enough low profile (I have used smaller image of Scania V8 due to EB posting image rules) Thanks
  19. That sounds good. You were right; second front axle is a bit distanced from first front axle
  20. That is similar kind for my idea for outriggers for my Unimog U4023 with crane. Question is just does it take to much space and will it be disproportional is will it fit scale?
  21. I agree that stability is very important. IMHO it looks like front axles are to much separated, but it drives relatively smooth.
