  1. If you need tractor tires + lot of parts I suggest 42054 because it has almost 2000 parts and is slightly more expensive than 42081...
  2. We will see later; when you upload image you can open image at bricksafe with max 1024 resolution and just copy / paste url here and image will be displayed
  3. Hm...now I can buy this set and use it as a parts pack for one truck that I plan to make ... and I need one black connector Thanks for idea
  4. If you want something, hen you have to offer something for it. So if you want some help it would be correct from you to publish images. If you do not know how, the simplest way is to make bricksafe or Flickr gallery and paste images with max resolution 1024 here; otherwise you could not expect someone to help you
  5. I woke up about the same time because my cat was hungry
  6. You will always be welcome. White lightning is real beauty
  7. Orange would be beautiful. C-model is very nice.
  8. Truck is more interesting to me; looking forward...
  9. It has many details...and ZEUX is (IMHO) simpler build.
  10. I have used 49.5 tire on that kind of setup, but do not have images of it. I'm using older gear rack on this setup(I have one half narrow beam here between differential and CV-joints), but with C-frame from Unimog U400 you can use new 7 studs long gear rack... Go take a rest; I 'll have interesting day with rain that is frosting on cold surfaces and have to drive some 100 miles to pick up results of ultrasound for my mother, after that I have to fix boiler so LEGO today is (most likely) only in mind... Regards
  11. So far it looks nice; about briclink order - it depends on shipping method...
  12. No you're not, there is no way to force them to give it up, and this alternative (environment friendly) sources sound very nice, but as always in real life if you want something you have to loose something; question is only what are you ready to loose? but I think that Liebherr company takes environment friendly development very serious as you can see in brochure on page 14, 15, 16 and 17 (there is also possibility to have excavator with 2 electric motors each with 1700kW)
  13. I had a bit different solution twp years ago, but took it apart; perhaps I should take photo of it to help you a bit...it is similar to this one, but uses U frame with ball joint from Unimog U400 official set (set nr 8110)
  14. People will always need energy and this talk about environment is actually talk about taxes, did anyone ask him/herself how much does cost (and pollutes environment) disposal of batteries from electro-mobiles after the reach their end of life? Technology will be always be there as long humans need energy; and btw there is a version with 2 gigantic electro powerplants on excavator not just 2 V16 engines...
  15. I know how it feels, I have digital camera but no PC...so I also depend on better weather and in my place there is no sun when I have time to take photos of my work...but teaser looks as it should
  16. It is very nice to see that project is on rolling (again). Bonnet and cab shape looks very good IMHO, but (in chance you do not have it) best would be that you scale blueprint to tires you choose and see if eventually you gave to make some corrections
  17. @Shiva, first if all I'm very sorry for permanent disability I'm temporary (with my left eye, but it could be fixed with LASIK...one day when it stabilizes). I have also one finished moc which will be redesigned in few weeks and one is currently under construction, but unfortunately none if them us crane... perhaps one day with 94.3 tires... Regards
  18. I'm afraid that side that has 49.5 tire mounted with that solution will be to much bending under weight.
  19. I just hope that it is not a beginning of new legend of awesomeness ...and you forgot someone with best photography skills - @Jim
  20. Very well written; LEGO should be enjoyable hobby and what is enjoyable should last as long as possible. If you set some kind of requirements like mandatory time to be built than hobby could end in frustration.
  21. To me it looks like LIebherr is some 1:35 scale, but I could be wrong
  22. that is logical thinking...but perhaps transporter will have 49.5 tire and car 43.2, but real cars in that class have some 650-700mm tires and trucks have from 900-1100mm tires...so 62,4 would be more suitable...
  23. I do not use RC parts much, just for some functions because I have cat that is very sensitive (he was few months small orphan when we found him in 20+cm of snow) and my terrier (who you can see on my Avatar) does not like that sound and makes noises that are going on nerves of my wife, so I have very interesting situation and have only for 2 fully RC mocs enough PF elements
  24. 68.7 look better, but I'm not a big fan on this tread on Baloon tires (I have 12 Power pullers in box and some 20 94,8x44 and who knows how much 81,6x38 and 10-12 68.7x34), so perhaps 68.8 x 38 or typical 62,4 truck tire will be more appropriate? Perhaps one friendly advice to very good friend; I always start from tire options of real vehicle and then I see what LEGO tire / wheel combo is optimal compromise and then I scale to wheel/tire combo the rest of my build (that is why I build very slow because I have always several variants until I find best solution) Regard Vic
