  1. That is good philosophy; in recent months I think about making mocs from parts that I already have just to buy few needed parts and not sets... Few days ago my wife (when she saw this 42100 set) asked me what I need to make it in the same scale of my Unimog, Fastrac... and except extra extra big linear actuators and sprockets the rest is dooable, but then I where it will be stored (with some 85 studs theoretical length...) Perhaps 42100 looks expensive tio us because he have to "spent" some 450€ at once and not in several orders how we do with our MOCs I have different approach that you because after several use parts are a bit worn out, so I try keep my mocs assembled Regards Jorge
  2. Is it an angle, or tires look a bit to small for the rest of it?
  3. Yes, but as someone already said lots of our mocs cost even more...just look at @Jeroen Ottens masterpiece (also Liebherr )
  4. @sirslayer I need to use just one motor for 4 functions. And I will use technic BB to switch directions because I need this for 3 point hitch...just need few extra parts to arrive which will be in next few days and to see how to make rear part of cab to look acceptable since structure is stiff enough for cab. Thanks for help
  5. Thanks for help , but (at the moment) I look for 100% LEGO solution and due to restrictions in Post Bank here and mad provisions in banks, I'm limited to buy what is available here in Croatia.
  6. That is nice @sirslayer, but perhaps Sun beam could be Great Spirit I'm waiting for additional parts to finish cab and front bonnet, but somehow I struggle with battery box; if I use Technic version it is big and for train battery box I do not have reverser; actually I have it from 8297 set but have never use it and now it doesn't work... Lucky you, you got sun beam, I have frosty morning and morning exercise in form of heating car and unfreezing windshield and have day full of mad obligations in front of me (have to go to wife's doctor who is actually for psychiatry...)
  7. @sirslayer that is exactly what I had in mind (I hope you can not read minds )
  8. @suffocation I have also tried, but had similar problem; I have even tried to make complete manual model but it was much worse than your first attempt to make RTC
  9. that would be very nice, but there is a big problem if you omit RC drive, you have steering complications
  10. white with little bit of red looks very nice. Looking forward to see the end-result
  11. Exactly it is very usefull when trying to make as narrow as possible axle and good example is truck wheel (like in Arocs). Another excellent quality - it is very stiff so I use them often when I have to connect and make stiffer two "levels" if beams. It is actually very usefull part. It would be also great to have variant with axles instead of pins.
  12. That is sad story...at least my will be assembled for long long time...
  13. Perhaps I was miscalculated when I saw beam 11 at front axle + offset + tire width - it could be 17, so I agree it is very close despite my calculations ( 16 studs was result of my calculations when I saw chassis)... maybe the reason that other mocers make 19 studs wide chassis influented my opinion, but it is another story Seeing so many motor I just hope that Fastrac survived.
  14. Impressive modeling from one blurry image
  15. For me chassis looks a bit to narrow; granite is 2500mm wide and biggest tires are 11R24.5 - about 1100mm in diameter, so if you use scale based on this biggest tires you get 1:17.5 and 2500 / 17.5 is approximately 18 studs. Cab shaping is not bad and suspension is OK
  16. It seems like there is no solution without pole reverser, so up to look where to find it...since the one that I got in 8297 did not work from the beginning and I did not even try if it works until now thanks
  17. Why didn't you use linear actuator for rising / lowering the snow plow? (With rope is a bit to unrealistic, and chassis is really to narrow for this tires and it is bending a lot ...)
  18. @sirslayer thank you very much. I have to wait for some parts to finish it. Deere harvester is a plan with tracks at the front (based on new sprockets xl) and rear tractor tire (yes it will be big one but will fit 1:15 scale of Unimog and Fastrac ) Regards
  19. That Is the reason that I ignore comments like that, it is just not worth to have headaches because of that, but I think that @Jim comments them about proper behavior in public places and of course every user can be banned as a result of improper behavior, but there are administrators for that purpose, now we can wait for better pictures and have to accept that LEGO (as intellectual owner of their creations) has a right to make any changes necessary until release date
  20. since this are just preliminary pictures, best way to start comment would be like this I think, or to me it looks like or IMHO...that would be most correct way for discussion, but perhaps civilization did not spread everywhere
  21. Perhaps wheel cover from 8145 could be helpful?
  22. I see that you managed to optimize your piston travel to prevent engine blow It is nice to see that you have fun with it, I personally use all LEGO parts and my battery box costs some 20$ or so...but I need two of smaller (train BB) and few Technic BB dir my mocs. I will not complain about red color because my next tractor will be dark bluish gray / red...
