  1. To cool down a little bit 2019 sets discussion; since there is dgb sprocket xl on the way in Liebherr excavator, I could plan this one https://goo.gl/images/Nqc6np
  2. Do you have some more info; what kind of tires are on it ? Only when it is new and not dirty
  3. That is massive... Hm...it could be done with sprockets large or even with new xl... With sprockets large (from 42094) should fit, or am I wrong? With such bug upper-structure it could easy have 4000 parts; just look on last year's RTC - only 12 parts for one wheel cover...
  4. from my experience, belts tend to worn out very rapidly, that was the main reason for my suggestion Of course, @T Lego has last word
  5. You do not need to be jealous, your moc has a charm of its own, so there are some real machines that look much better as model and other do not look so good as model... You can calculate how long is front part behind slope, you can perhaps use po panel 5 X 11?
  6. I know, but it looks like shoe box This one is more challenging
  7. At least we will here some new info in few days...
  8. Thanks Basic concept is to use panels, connectors and perhaps flex axles, but I'll see. In your case it is a bit simpler because your model does not have so "curvy" bonnet and rounded parts of cab
  9. @Sjoemie himself as you can see on attached image, you can easily start with panels, since your tractor has mostly straight lines and as you can see here bonnet width is more or less the same both at end (in front of cab) and at front more images can be seen here
  10. Usually when we are done with "backbone" of our creation, bodywork can be annoying, but after a while you will find enjoyment in that. I usually leave bodywork start for one if next days... Regards Clive
  11. Not anymore, I use frames at front and rear end of gearbox and at closest point to the chassis tire "goes" inside frame and has one half stud space between gearbox and tire. It took me a while to solve it and needed time to optimize construction. I think that the most complicated part is done, but Cab, mudguards and bonnet are still waiting to be done. Perhaps I'll play around front 3 point hitch...
  12. @Sjoemie himself it works. Left side is also finished. As you can see steps are made of connectors due to lack of space. Whole development can be seen here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/igor.ipsa/agriculture/tractors/jcb_fastrac_4220
  13. ... anyway left side (of course without mudguards) is finished...
  14. Michal that is very practical and simple solution to use with axles and hubs
  15. @Sjoemie himself m-motor placement problem is solved, so after brake I'll go and finish this side; left side is much simpler to make... Main goal was to make gearbox control lever easy to operate... Sorry for unprofessional background and bad photos
  16. Yes, that is disadvantage, but has lots of other usable parts. IMHO the only disadvantage is that it is not dark azure; because I like that color very much and next truck that I plan will have dark azure Cab (but first I have to solve wheel problem on truck...)
  17. I was planing to use flex axles for mudguards (just missing few of them) and front ones should tun with wheels. But now there is another problem, m-motor is in the way when steering to the right if I want to make smallest circle, so I'll have to redesign this a little bit... @grum64 thank you very much
  18. Just for info, tumbler tires are very expensive, perhaps you can use 81.6 X 38 balloon tires instead or for tumbler tires it is better to buy 42050 set; you'll get lots of usable parts. That is smart decision to make model from available parts and then place an order for all missing parts
  19. Stairs will be made with axles and connectors or perhaps I'll make than using plate modified with holes... I'll see, the thing that is causing me more headache are mudguards...
  20. Happy birthday Now it looks much better that moc that is "pulling" battery box behind like a dog on a line
  21. The reason that I have ended a bit bigger scale (1:15) than my usual (1:17.5) are tractor tires in just one size, but smaller mics are IMHO more challenging when optimizing and incorporating as much as possible functions.
  22. I was afraid that you went to winter sleeping since no sign from you for some time. I have even watched several videos on tube for p-38 but nothing new. Now I see on what you were doing all that time. To be honest tail looks a bit hollow and I do not know what to use instead of those white rocket ends... All in all moc looked very good considering the fact that Lego parts are no help at all when designing elegant vehicles like lightning, not to mention some sled or custom... Regards
  23. In those two aspects I agree, but honestly such big mocs are (to)big responsibility for me, even my Fastrac that I'm currently working on is upper limit for me. So from time to time it is interesting to see something like this and really think that @suffocation is something like icebreaker
  24. Gearbox is finished and now I need to put stairs and to see how to make mudguards...but enough for today (Sorry for bad image quality)
