  1. Well, joints are relatively good because there is one excellent exercise for finger joints - push-ups on fingers
  2. No they are 43 X 22 if I'm not mistaken...
  3. IMHO it is wired to have engine with axles going up and down, and still existing fake engine elements (as you correctly mentioned that are some 20+ years available) are more realistic; perhaps I'm to much pain in the a... ...but I agree that we need new engine parts, perhaps Lego should make new block (and smaller pistons) for 3 and 4 cylinders to make possible inline 3,4 and 6 cylinder engines, V/flat 6,8,12 and 16 cylinder engine, H 12, 24 engine etc (even in my mocs that are 1:15 I have to make varies compromises to fit inline 6 engine)
  4. It looks good with 49.5 tires and you made best of parts you have in your inventory
  5. Ah the 49.5 tires are just made for this truck. Unimog torque tube (together with ball joint) is the most robust life axle solution and it helps a lot when making off-road or pickup (it could be hot rod pickup ) I'm no fan of axle based engines, but I do not thing you can squeeze ordinary Lego engine inside. So it is good modification, perhaps to stick with colors from original set; at least for chassis (lbg frames and beams) Regards
  6. Your pocketknife looks interesting. I see several interesting projects here and Kyle, yours is one of them Nice to see that your project is rolling
  7. Thanks I have some of them in 2014 brochure, but there are number of the over the net. I'll see when implements cross my mind Thanks, I have busy weekend, but I hope to find few hours to work on a Cab...in some 10 days I expect missing parts to arrive (main reason for standstill...) But if you like this Fastrac, I have one big surprise after Fastrac in my sleeve (It is another tractor and very unique tractor)
  8. It is very long model and details look very good except one minor issue; fake engine with axles and not pistons is not my primary choice. Width is perfect for 1:16.5 scale and also tires fit in perfectly
  9. Generally you are right; for longer period of time I do not see sets itself like sets, but more and more as parts pack and buying them at discount when they are at the end of their life-cycle. since I'm in the mid 40s I have opinion; toy is usually something smaller (more affordable) like 42079 set, or perhaps like 42081 if we stick to last year. when we discuss about price, I agree that Liebherr is way to expensive for my valet but I have learned something - the difference between man and boy is in price of toy and perhaps that was idea in TLC management to make some kind of categories or adult line and child line of Technic? Bugatti is (usually) to expensive to be child's toy...so good question is where is a limit Topic has sense because people from TLC read our forum, so every aspect will at least be discussed in future
  10. It was a result of few minutes brainstorming and search...it could be Camaro inspired also... maybe @Paul Boratko could find out better than me...if he saw picture
  11. And what about people with damaged nerves on their fingers who after all enjoy playing with LEGO sets?
  12. That is why humans invented forums like this one
  13. The muscle car reminds me on this (at least front part)
  14. Possible; sometimes I buy some parts ove forum etc...
  15. Cool, but to make it more like real thing, you can replicate (a bit smaller) solution from 42069; it used technic triangle type 2, and drive wheel and idler wheels are held together with triangle shaped structure.
  16. I do not have image (and my imagination is not on this level) so I do not know
  17. Yes I have already a moc in my mind with it
  18. That was the same case with me - about 3/4 of incoming results are in red. If it would be yellow, what color is the gear rack housing?
  19. Forgotten BrickLink order? Or some set with additional parts or in alternative color?
  20. Perhaps you could buy 42029 set (I suppose you had gear racks) at reasonable price, but you know the best
