  1. Oh same, definitely! He is putting alot of detail into it so it'll still be an impressive concept at least!
  2. Problem is, with his interior as he has done it, and the exterior, even the cockpit area will struggle to hold itself up. There is a lot of plates and height on that, with very little room for support. I'd like to be proven wrong though
  3. Agreed with this completely. Are you in my mind or something? :o Just hoping I get the Simpsons House for my Bday or Christmas or I'll have to fork out for that and the Slave 1 :cry_sad:
  4. I really like this, and the way you incorporated the bigger scale build to the small build. The different scenes of the microscale part was really well done :)
  5. Haha I didn't see that coming! Nice simple little story depicted by a nice scenery :)
  6. I really like this one! The Lambda is my favourite ship in SW... and you've made the kenner toy/mini lambda extremely well! Even better it fits 2 minifigs :P With regards to the landing gear, a method I saw of doing it, can't remember where from so, sorry for not crediting it... but remove the 2 1x3 inverted double slopes. Replace with a 1x2 hinge brick, add a 1x6 plate to the bottom of it, and then add the skis to the bottom of that... Works really well, just depends if you prefer simply removing the current landing gear to give a sleeker look, or would like functioning landing gear :)
  7. I was a bit hesitant at first, but this last picture, it looks sooo much better! That rear section is a huge improvement over the first picture. What do you plan to do to this next? Great job, keep up the work!
  8. Certainly agree with you Spyderlord. It is a shame that we won't get the new stormtroopers, and I am saddened to read that while impressed at your ability to hold back buying a set of minifigs that you like because of the lazy build, but that you will miss out on them... almost to the point I'm tempted to buy a set just to send you one airborne trooper so you won't completely miss out on what I think are really good figs :P I am impressed with the battle packs minifigs though, and I think for the piece count, the ITT has a pretty decent little build that is completely relevant and interactive with the new stormies.
  9. Every single build has really good detail, but I am in awe after all the random parts usage, such as those green boats! And the witch hats as the plants! Who would have thought to use them for plants! The story was really good too, I hope there will be more!
  10. That right there is going backwards. They recently had generic troops widely available. The Sith troopers in the previous wave, the Endor BP was actually pretty damned good, especially for those who want to make an Endor scene, the previous Mandalorien BP was perfect, current Utapau, and the current Kashyyk BP. They are generic troopers, but with a purpose. Specialised ones that don't make a great BP is the death star BP Those literally aren't an army building BP, who knows why they chose to do that one. The figs are decent, and could have been well presented in a slightly larger set... TLG changed their BP style to 2 figs from opposing sides. They clearly tried it over a decent length of time to gauge how well it would do, and their reasons are understandable. But it has become apparant that 4 from 1 side is better than 2 from 2 sides which is most likely why they are reverting back to their original ways. I would expect literally from now to be well executed in a few specialised troops in BPs, but also with decent generic troopers that are perfect for army building. The rebel stormies BP I think is an amazing BP to be releasing and Ill probs only get 3 or 4 of them due to limited funds, and wanting everything else... The AT-DP set is also clearly something that has been influenced by people's requests for the potential to army build. TLG are listening, they just can't cater to every individual request. Again, where is the imagination? Why such a strict 'it has to fit or it's no good'? I'll be using the shadow stormtroopers to fill out my moc of the Sith Fury Class Interceptor when that gets done. Why would I do that? They're not from the same era as TOR... But heck, I think they'll look damned good as fillers for busy bodies around the ship. The differences of the rebel storm troopers are minimal. Mix them all up with the old ones, fill out a moc with 50+ of them in action poses and the difference won't really matter or be that noticeable. They're close enough.
  11. Lego can't cater for the entire past of Star Wars now that there are new SW things being done. If they re-released/rehashed the old classic vehicles anymore than already done, they'd take up space of the new sets for the new SW's being released. We'd get a slightly better X-wing, slightly better Y-wing, slightly better other stuff rather than completely new things. How many times do they have to redo things just so everyone can have them from the entire world's different generations of children? TLG has to move forward with the dynamics of SW as SW's dynamics change otherwise things won't relate and it is essentially a bad marketing choice for them to stick to the dark ages while releasing a pitiful handful of new things because old things are keeping a few afols/tfols happy. @LN, the fact you have collected all those different troopers means TLG have given you a CHOICE of a wide variety of minifigs. You could have 40 or so kashyyk troopers, or 40 odd utapau troopers. It was you that chose to have different types. The problem there is that you are doing just what TLG are catering to, the *choice* of a variety. That is not their fault. So lets say TLG could make 2 BPs permanently made with no end of production, to keep all the A/TFOLs happy, such as the stormies, and perhaps rebels as the other one so the stormies have a relevant enemy to fight, for example. That means only 2 BPs would be released. That is a bit naff. What happens if they release the stormies just as the OT type how lots of people are requesting them to be, and everyone gets them? People buy them, eventually they go oop. Then other people complain they missed out on them for this reason, or that reason, or whatever other reason and get upset that they are not being released again, then moan if something similar gets released that it isn't exactly the same. 100% of people won't ever be 100% happy as there is always something someone can not get. A new generation of kids will appear, get older and wish they had some of the older sets. TLG shouldn't have to keep going backwards in order to go forwards...
  12. Lego: Let your imagination flow. They're giving us such decent minifigs for army building, sure, some of the builds might not be THAT great... but essentially, they're all about the minifigs. Lego cater to children mostly. If they specialised their selection of BPs to a few scenes, they wouldn't cover the wider picture. It would take twice as long to, and they wouldn't be as free to venture into the unknown. While it is nice for the few that can afford to buy bucketloads of BPs of the same (Im talking to those that literally buy bucket loads), the average child will probably get a few of one BP, if not, just 1 version. Children use their imagination when playing more so than afols and tfols, who prefer to make mocs for dioramas and displays. Children play. Do children really care what bad guys their good guys are fighting? Not really, just that good v bad= fun. When I was younger, heck, I used to imagine most of my good guys would turn bad, so it didn't matter what I had. Old stormies have been done. Hoth troopers have been done. TLG are pushing the boat out with a complete wider variety of minifigs for BPs. Can't people just enjoy the fact theyre doing something completely different for a change rather than just rehashing the same old minifigs? (except the stormies, I believe they have done extremely well as most people I think will eventually be happy to accept them as old stormies while the change in print makes them relevant to the new era for children to enjoy at this time.) ^^^^Very much this.
  13. Could not have said it better myself.
  14. Has there been any source of anything regarding releases in 2015?
  15. I love these styles of robots, I think they have a very classic robot feel about them. Your design appears to bring it forward the next step with the 3d movement of the limbs while keeping the classic look. I really like it! Im just slightly unsure of the colour scheme... For some reason 3 colours seems a bit too 'busy' iI you know what I mean? I think sticking with any of the 2 colours of the red/blue/yellow would work really well... But that is how my mind sees it, maybe it wouldnt be so good if done in real life? Either way, excellent design!
  16. That is a pretty cool idea! Not sure I could give away that many minifigs though xD
  17. I absolutely love seeing your MOCs (and Discos) Markus, There is always such life to them, and they are always bustling with things happening, detailed just the right amount, and always capture the intended scene perfectly. This is by all means no exception. Great job!
  18. I think I read that the Smyths % off was around 20%. The 3 for 2 works out as 1/3rd off which is better providing you want 3 items, and they are of equal value. Just looking at the sales at smyths... Mindstorms has 1/3rd off (or there abouts) it might be worth checking both places and working out which is cheapest by the sets you want to get...
  19. I really like it! And Im loving the way a minifig can fit inside it too. One thing that I always enjoy seeing is if minifigs can fit inside things, and this is no exception despite the small confined space. The build is sleek and curves very well. The rear has been done really well considering the shape it has to match. Not one thing I don't like about it! Great job!
  20. I really like this! Reminds me of a stubby winged E-Wing. I think you have managed to get the flow of the cockpit into the body extremely well, this is my favourite part of it, the way it all looks like the lego parts were made to be used in this way. I want one!
  21. They are so cute, and extremely well detailed for their size! The snowspeeder looks spotless, the y wing im not so sure on the nose guns... I see why they are there but that is the only part of it I am just not quite sure of... Everything else about it is brilliant, and I like the scenes you did for them!
  22. She was so oblivious that she actually waved to one of the guys videoing us as she thought he was just a random stranger! They were in tourist clothing and at first were following us at a distance. It was only up until we got to the cow that they all closed in on her :P Thank you very much again guys :)
  23. 8 or 9 versions or 8 or 9 of the same one?
  24. The video is up =D Click the facebook legoland link and its there :P
  25. If I remember correctly (it happened in a blur!) it was just behind the blue car next to the Krone Kaffe.
