Well done. Using a model railways design to build with LEGO bricks can be a challenge. I like the buildings design, it looks older, but still a working station bridge.

I really like the worn out look created by the sand green profile bricks and those roof tiles. The building has a relatively simple shape, but it stands out because of the little details. Well done.

This looks really good and it would be nice to see it built. The sign is very prominent and is probably my favourite detail. Looking forward to the finished MOC.

Technic is not my field of ''expertise'', so my votes are more about the overall appearance then function. 16: 10 20: 6 1: 4 12: 3 14: 2 10: 1

Great job and function. The opening door is great. I like the colourscheme,

While I like the set as it is, I am a bit dissapointed in not getting a new Winter Village set this year, however this only means I'll be saving some money. Actually, I'd prefer a more modified version of the house, like different colours of the awnings, so that the Winter village would be expanded with another shop.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Redhead1982 replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
It's great to hear Grogall is still out there. Also, hearing about Gingerbread house or Candy store for the Winter village is tempting me to finally make a display of all WV sets this year. I like both ideas, so I'm looking forward to see which one it'll be. -
Another neat building, Kristel! My favourite is the colour scheme. It's almost neutral, but with some colour. This way it nicely shows the facade details. I also prefer the arches in the third floor as they round of the building nicely.

Another great build. I love the details on the facade, and the colourscheme. It makes the building very interesting, and doesn't show the lack of height as much. My favourite details are the part around the store's windows on the ground floor, cupcake mold and plant pots. You did a great job with the interiors as well.

The overall impression of the building is great. I'm impressed by the large number of dark red profile bricks. They're just perfect for a facade. Where did you get so many of them? They're still very pricey on BL. I'm not a fan of your window decorations. They look ok, but it's not something that would caught my attention. Also, the awning on the side looks great, but I feel it doesn't fit in with this building. On the other hand, the curved balcony on the top floor is really sweet. The attention to details on the inside is incredible. Well done on such a fine scale. The poker table is a nice addition. Despite not liking some of the buildings' elements, it's a fine building nevertheless. Well done.

Nice idea and well executed. I like the idea of corner square to break up the street a bit. The details are lovely as well. The golden plate is a nice touch.

Living Small - A suburban counterpart to the modular series
Redhead1982 replied to SearchFunction's topic in LEGO Town
These are lovely houses. I really like the simple designs, although I'm not a fan of all colours, like the yellow (I'd go for the Friends yellow much more). Thanks for sharing the LDD files, I'll have a look to find some inspiration. So, are you planning a layout with these designs? -
I like the forced perspective, although I'd probably cut the picture more on the sides, so they don't look so empty. Otherwise, it's great you managed to fill the park with smaller scenes, such as the couple having a picnic, boys playing football, girsl walking, the old man resting etc. Nice work.
-
This is a sweet scene. The amount of details is just perfect. The white facade makes a nice contrast to the outside colours, mainly the greenery and the bright blue water in the canal. By the way, is the water in UK's canal really this clear? The boat looks nice, and it could easily be used as a floating house.

I agree with others, the building looks simple and elegant at the same time. The symmetry is perfect for this size of building, and the way you managed to keep some elements aligned vertically, and others horizontally, makes the front look even more interesting. It would be nice to see some interiors, but I know from my experience that sometimes it's just to much to make it.

Great building. It's recognizable, and as I've seen it last year in CPH, it looks fantastic also in reality, not just the photos. How do you plan a build like this? Do you get a blue print or the floor plane to help with the dimension, or you just try and see how it goes?

It looks nice as it is. I'd maybe add tiles to the roof border, to make it more smooth (and easier to dust), but that's about it. I like the colour scheme. Looking forward to see the interior as well.

Nice way to capture a historic moment. Apart from that, those cars really caught my attention. They look cute and a bit old-school. Do you have any extra photo of any of them?

I missed this post, but it's not to late to make another comment, is it? Ever since seening this Old Pharmacy, I'm fascinated mostly by the age span of the bricks used for this modular. I'm fairly new to LEGO, and there were many parts I didn't even know exist. In addition to mixing new and old parts, the building is also a great source of inspiration as there are so many lovely details. Just to name a few, I love the rounded roof, the skylight in the roof, the red and white awnings, the back roof terrace, and the brick build front door. Great work!

As I already left a comment on Flickr, I really like your style of the building. The colour scheme is nice as in the Apple store, but the front of the facade looks more classical and more appealing to me. It's also nice how you did the back of the building. The tree provides a focal point and gets most of the attention, but also lets you enjoy the other details, such as the greenery on the terraces. Well done also on the interior.

Considering the fact that the animals are brick-built, they're fantastic. Despite a bit blocky shape, they're recognizable and have a distinct shapes. I really like the use of modified minifig heads as the animals'. Well done. Giraffes are my favourite with their sleek legs.

Well done for a first modular! And making a building based on a real life model. I've been to Hamburg recently and I remember those arcades. I really like some of the details you used to spice up the facade, and I think you're on a great start with custom modular building. :-) I like how all the windows are framed with round bricks, and the green awning above the large ground floor windows makes a point of interest.

This looks nice. There are lots of interesting details on the buildings and around. I'm only missing more life, I really wonder where all the people went (maybe enjoying some cevapcici ). Will this be part of a larger layout or is it stand alone display?

What an amazing build! I'm not on EB that regularly, and I'm really glad this was front-paged, so that I didn't miss it. It makes me wanna go to the sea and enjoy the summer. The high cliffs, and the bright blue water is just dreamy. The built-in-the-rocks tower walls blend in perfectly. This is a very inspiring MOC both for the architectural style of the building, as well as for the landscaping rocks and vegetation. I love it!
