  1. I looks like a nice tool. I would like to see it in 3D and studless coordinate system too :)
  2. He made the instructions for the Audi without my assistance but he asked for my permission to publish it. I was stupid that I forgot about this thing a bit, January with the TC6 and other stuff was very busy for me, even though I was excited that someone liket my model enough to take the time to make instructions. I checked the instructions, I did see some very minor changes but they are all okay: he used some of the new 2L pin+1L axle parts of which I only had two pieces at the time.
  3. I have a manual 15-stud wide car: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/szecs/kisauto-2/kisauto_ldd.lxf
  4. Thank you for the replies and the link to the file, I'll take a look at it.
  5. Hi all! Does Sardo publish videos somewhere? I'm particularly interested in his/her Huracan. I have been thinking about designing a supercar with some awesome features, like manual sequential gearbox, only to find out it's already done. I'm very curious to see his/her machines in action.
  6. 20,000 minus taxes, for a 6 month creative work (meaning not every people is able to do the job) is not that big. In many countries you earn that with a regular job (meaning any people is able to do the job). As for stupid comments, questions and requests, I would maybe disable the comments. You are an awesome writer, Sariel, you can explain on your site, in a video, whatever, why you don't answer all the time. Anyhoo, I'm sorry about the situation, but I fell envious as well. I can never hope for that popularity, or even some recognition.
  7. Doubling everything reduces backlash. With the steering pivot so outside of the wheels, the wheels would "sprawl" when pushed around. I guess
  8. I have an LXF file, and maybe I'll make instructions for the gut of the steering, it's very tricky to assemble.
  9. That's why, and because of the very high-quality pictures I love his WIP threads
  10. This is incredibly beautiful. Are there painted parts or only official parts?
  11. 3/3 means we only have to wait two days? That's doable. Some time I want to design a custom Lego supercar.
  12. Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated! I was surprised by my 6th place, thank you for the votes, thank you Jim for organizing these contests, I learned a lot again, and it's always good to have deadlines that force me to finish stuff.
  13. Nice to see a Master here :) Saw this awesome model on TLCB.
  14. Why do you want studless seats in a not fully studless model?
  15. Teaser, oh noes. I was just about to forget a bit about this project and I was very excited to see it! And you are just teasing us again...
  16. You are using perspective images (front and rear) for measurements? The proportions will be very off.
  17. I think the video would show quite well if there were issues.
  18. The biggest problem is the length of the engine block. A very annoying property of Lego is that the assembled engine shaft is shorter than the assembled engine blocks which can cause quite noticeable friction. And that could lead to the problem Meatman describes. As far as I can remember, in contrary to the LDD file, I used this main shaft scheme: '..''. instead of '.'.'. I hope that's clear...
  19. Thanks for the comments! @SilenWin: Nice build and modifications! I wanted to use those dark red parabola parts for the wheels instead of the dark orange ones, but they are very rare...
  20. Hmm... I don't see what could be the problem. The engine blocks are only supported with the standard V-engine brick part from one side, but there's nothing stressing the engine blocks. Are there any pins sticking out that touch the engine blocks? Could you post a picture or two about the engine bay in the current state of the build?
  21. I envy your talent, that car is pretty awesome.
  22. Don't be disappointed. This contest was way too generic and diverse to foresee any results.
  23. I prefer the new stuff. and if you look at MOCs like Sheepo's or Nicjasno's models for example, you can see that instead of putting innovation to the old, now boring things (differential, manual gearbox, whatever), the innovation moved further, like sequential gearboxes, very realistic suspensions etc., which were nearly impossible (or very untidy/unreliable) with the old generic pieces. Okay, most folks don't innovate that much, but I, for one, look at Lego more as a form of Art and as a toy, than as a mechanical demonstration/experimentation tool.
  24. Beautiful. And the violin does seem to be the man concept of the bodywork. Is it your first MOC or do you have other stuff we can see?
  25. I prefer realistic models with proper proportions that look like the real machines in general. That said, simply, FOR ME, being modelled after a specific machine doesn't add much value for a model, and I simply fully disagree with the "challenge is non existent" argument. For the examples Jorge posted: I see some differences, but I don't see significantly more challenge in making them look like the specific real machines. EDIT: Maybe I still misunderstand Jorge's comment and take things too literally. English is not my native language.
