  1. It would be easier to answer if you linked those topics. I could only find one: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=111955&st=0 And maybe you should just ask the moderator who supposedly closed a particular thread.
  2. I'm designing a Lego supercar too, and by looking at tons of images of mid-engine supercars, the cockpit position seems pretty okay. Sure, there are some extreme examples of a longer rear hood, but some reference images: https://www.google.h...=lnms&tbm=isch sa=X&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAWoVChMIlfbi77XlxgIVwgssCh1lhAi3 EDIT: now that I'm looking at the Lego car again, the door and the side window does suggest a bit, that the cockpit is not enough at the front. But if you look at the seats, they are in good place. Apart from that, I do agree that the overall shape is a bit off (the small details are awesome). I can't express it as I'm not a car designer, but it doesn't look a strong/aggressive/powerful car, especially the side view.
  3. Chassis flex is the biggest problem with realistic looking chassis and chassis with no central frame (or backbone chassis). According to my experience, no matter how solid the frame around the cockpit, reinforcing the backbone is the most important.
  4. Yup, I can't navigate, I only see 6 instructions being sold. Is there a list or something?
  5. Maybe I'm afraid that you will whine away my precious color vomit
  6. This might be true, I also experienced that 3L pins can stick out a tiny bit, enough to jam two sliding beams.
  7. Yes, but that time there were much less pins (2L friction, 3L friction, 2L frictionless, frictionless axle-pin, and 1L with stud). 2L, 3L and only even length axles. Nowadays how many we have? I for one would get brain damage if would have to use the 1:1 axle drawings in instructions all the time to differentiate between 9L and 10L axles. With different colors for even and odd lengths, I never have to use that helper image. Plus expressing your dislike all the time the topic comes up and it's about something you can't really change, is whining. Honestly guys sometimes you seem to be so far away the real art of Lego Technic
  8. Hmm, I made pretty similar suspension in the last weeks, this setup gives a nice, stiff suspension very suitable for supercars. EDIT: WRONG. My first suspension doesn't have drive.
  9. Hmm, I also have 4 micromotors from I don't know where, I got it in a lot when i a kid. I don't have any adapters or whatever for those though, so I never used them in Technic builds. Do you think I could sell them even without the adapters?
  10. I only have some Bionicle parts, but I guess they aren't relly rare because I only find tons of the among used parts.
  11. I agree with that one. Though I may be one of the very few who likes "color vomit" in Lego models, and don't like dull one or two color models and plain grey or black chassis at all. Color coding also helps to find parts. There are much more selection of pins and axles nowadays, so no color coding would make finding parts very frustrating. And not everyone can afford the space to have a wall of small containers and keep everything always sorted (or not everyone can affor to have a huge collection that makes sorting parts worthwile in the firts place).
  12. Thank you for the comment! Actually someone already made a Brompton, though I couldn't find much info about it. I only found it after someone made a comment on my Birdy model about it: http://www.bicipiegh...hp?topic=8845.0 Maybe these are the two working Lego folding bikes ever posted publicly.
  13. Fixed the links for you http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Block-Smart/Buggychassis/img_0062.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Block-Smart/Buggychassis/img_0063.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Block-Smart/Buggychassis/img_0064.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Block-Smart/Buggychassis/img_0065.jpg
  14. Plus there are some weak connections, pretty much all juctions except for the central hub. I know, I also made a bike once with similar techniques, and it wasn't very strong: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=104357
  15. So steering rack will interfere with the differential?
  16. Thank you for the review, one can learn a lot from these. For example I learned that I am too strict with myself and maybe I shouldn't have given up the sequential-gearbox supercar project just because it failed to switch gears properly in 10% of the time.
  17. I think having that big filesizes is not normal even with 300 dpi. Okay, I might remember wrong.... Try to check your pdf printer/creator settings and look for jpg/or image compression or something and try some settings. I do remember that with the right setting the filesize decreased to something like 10% without noticeable image quality degradation.
  18. I never really liked/cared of the brake feature, and I don't miss the sequential gearbox either. This car is you best, in my opinion. Looks the best too, this has a nice, clean look.
  19. Beautiful techniques and details! Features are better than my current supercar attempt. But I'm not convinced by the overall shape, especially the side view. Doesn't seem powerful enough, it's more like a Japanese girly car...
  20. Why no more comments? This is an awesome model of a very strange vehicle.
  21. Hmmm, my first thought was that the plane was probably Milan's design, and it's pretty awesome. And the squirrel did awesome again in the video.
  22. Seems to be an excellent set, though the front suspension is a bit fishy to me. Both the shocks and the two trailing arms will bend slightly if the suspension is articulated. Anyway, I don't think I'll buy it, too big and expensive.
