Guilds of Historica New Member Guide
soccerkid6 replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Don't worry about your building skills, they're likely to improve quickly, and we welcome any builders new or veterans. Plus, we'd love to see your stories come to life in LEGO -
Great to see how much you're able to improve the Speed Champions sets. It definitely makes me want to try messing around with them myself. Your Gallardo is my favorite of the bunch
-
The first thing that I noticed about this build is how well the completely tiled area works for a muddy surface in the pig pen Pretty house with the recessed windows, and barn area downstairs. I like the little milking stool and bucket details, and that you included a fireplace upstairs
-
Incredible model! The main tower is staggering in size, and the staircase on it looks great And the curves in the lower building are incorporated flawlessly
-
Blue looks so good here Each building is magnificent, but my favorite has the round sections at each corner Combined they make quite a beautiful city block
-
Really neat way to display a speeder in flight The trans neon green accents look great, and the whole thing looks very sleek and speedy
-
Superb use of those large dark green curved parts The upside down arches for toes are very clever as well, this looks like a machine you wouldn't want to be fighting
-
Very capable looking mech! The dark blue looks great with bley and dark bley, and those shoulder weapons are epic
-
Lovely building, Garmadon The stonework balances nicely with the half-timber second story, and the door is excellent. The crates and barrels piled haphazardly are a really cool detail. And that palm tree is also really nice

Cool training ground. That tree is pretty neat :thumbup:The crumbled wall and archer posing is excellent too. And you have an interesting story, I wonder what that mysterious creature is up to- 10 replies

Wow. Wow. Wow. These have got to be some of the most impressive fig combos I've ever seen! Each one is so well made Some (too many to list them all!) of the highlights for me: Robbers of Silverwood, Alaverian Farmers, Alaverian Red Guards, Garena, Falarus, Kaliphlin Merchants, and Nocturnus Inquisition. I've always been a strong purist, but your amazing use of customs just about makes me want to get some

This looks like it would be a blast to play with The hanging chains, swiveling crane, and lava pit are brilliant Very fun starting point with the funnel as well

That's a very clever brickbuilt big fig design I like how you used the skelly torso as the core -
Thanks LJ, I was messing around with how to do the windmill blades and found that connector clip thing worked really well
-
Such brilliant color use Definitely gives off an industrial vibe too I'm looking forward to seeing more Astrominer builds from you

This is the third of 4 micros I built as prizes for the Guild Creation category of the Summer Joust. This particular model was focused on a city of Rauor. You can see the first and the second builds already. Rauor is just a fictional land I made up, and tried to develop the culture and setting of with these 4 micro builds, the rest of which will be posted soon. C&C welcome
