I can't recall ever seeing a ship built in dark orange before, it works pretty well! The upside down approach was a good choice considering your part limitations. Nice part use for the furled sails too
-
And we miss seeing your epic MOCs! Good to know you still check in occasionally though

Excellent layout and the buidlings are well built. Good color choices and the cleaner style works nicely in this setting

You did very well with that stonework technique Nice blending of colors for the ground as well, though perhaps a few tiles here and there to break up the studs would look nice

Typical Z awesomeness here Having the landscape be predominantly RB gives such a unique feel and atmosphere to the scene. Tremendous architecture on the tower and fortress themselves, and excellent color use. The wooden sections incorporated are tremendous, especially the manor looking part in the middle which looks to have a wonderful wooden walkway/porch around it Stunning all around -
Each build is easily recognizable as being set in Shadowmere or Skavenport. The Shadowmere wall has nice detailing with the touches of dark red, SNOT tiles, and crumbling battlements And you did extremely well with the 'rickety' style of the Skaveport house. The section of stonework that is angled works really well

Neat hunting lodge, it certainly looks Avalonian! I like the shingled roofs and the angled wooden supports you have under the top roof For resizing/cropping, just about any image editing program will allow you to do those easily. Even paint works well for those. Generally, you don't even need to crop pictures, unless your too far zoomed out or something with the original shot.

Thanks Gunman Thanks! That was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you, the angled building and different street levels were two things I knew I wanted right from the beginning. Thanks! I was pretty pleased with how the sloped section of road worked out. Thanks Jimbee Thanks!

Lovely siege tower! All too often siege towers end up looking like big brown blocks, but you have a great balance on detail on yours Excellent trees as well

This is one of my favorite builds from you, and it's great to finally see it posted here! Every time I look at it, I can't help but be inspired The rocky landscape and winding path complement the building beautifully Fun to see the House of Chorian further involved in the storyline as well -

It's quite fun to see a Kaliphlin build from you, your last one was a tower? The tents are excellent, especially how you set them at angles The main building also looks quite nice, and very fitting for Kaliphlin -
Excellent wagon there! I like how you angled the support posts for the cloth

Thanks Fletcher, I've been enjoying your CCC entries as well Thanks! Thanks BC, and the roof is dark orange 2x2 plates. Thank you

Location: G03, New California Tags: Vehicle, Piracy, Land Vehicle, Military Job: Driver Start Log: My last mission let me use a sweet new mobile missile platform, the LR3. Not only does it carry a payload of three missiles, it also has a cab that serves as an escape hover craft. The designated target this time was an Octan sensory outpost. Job done. More pictures are available on brickbuilt. Thanks for looking

Thanks! What parts don't you think look like Dale? I tried to follow this source image fairly closely. Though naturally, LEGO colors are somewhat limited Thanks Slegengr! I'm glad you liked the cart, as I thought that turned out nicely

Beautiful cottage and landscape The little gardens are a great touch, and the winding stream is superb

My fourth entry into the 14th Colossal Castle Contest, for the Traveling Salesman Category. I was inspired by the architecture of Dale from The Hobbit, and also Legopard and The Brick Vader’s rendition of Venice. Every building has a full interior. The dwarves of Erebor sell many of their fine wares in Dale before continuing on their sales circuit to Mirkwood. Their skill in smithing and quarrying fine gems is well known. See all the pictures here. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome

You did a fantastic job with these Kai! Maybe we should coordinate a group post to flickr, over several specific days

Nifty little well design! Though it does seem a little hard to get water out of Excellent wall texture, and I like how you have the boys play-fighting

I think my favorite detail is the little section of wall built into the cave rockwork Excellent landscaping, I think the waterfall's shape is much better than your previous one, though the texture of it could likely be improved as Henjin mentioned. It looks like you tilted the SNOT plate, which is neat, much better than just having it straight up and down.
-
You have improved awfully quickly Top-notch build! The landscape and layout of the build are quite unique and look great here. Lovely tower and palisade too My only complaint is with the story, Mitgardians have a long history of being Drow haters

Thanks Titus! Thank you, Gunman. The rockwork is a bit different than most of what I've done before, but I was pretty pleased with it. Thanks Niku! And you're completely right about the dragon's eyes, with the head construction I used, I couldn't figure out how to get the eyes higher. I may have done more rockwork than snow actually, as a castle builder I tend to use it a lot. Thanks Maestro!
