Nice color use with the dark tan and olive green landscape contrasting against the dark red tree The little wooden shelter is one of the small details that really adds a lot to a build. Very neat fig combos as well
-
1x1 round brick roofs look so beautiful when done properly Excellent windows and floorplan for the church as well. Add that to an excellent landscape, and you have quite the MOC!
-
Lovely sled there! I really like the covered wagon look to the covering Plus the seat area, and storage for a bag and sword are very fitting details
-
Dark red works so nicely with tan Lovely SNOT work throughout as well
-
I always enjoy your landscapes, and when you add buildings they're even better Lovely trees, and the entrance addition to the tower is great

Very pretty winter scenery and great use of the gingerbread man fig -
Very elegant MOC Excellence all around, down to having an arrow in the first target!
-
Very nice snowscape, the footsteps certainly are effective and I like the fence in the background
-
Great to see free Nocturnus preparing for war! The swamp scene is quite nice, and I like the touch of lanterns on the boats

Thanks Henjin! I forgot to include my description of the dragon earlier. "Skogrbani is a forest dwelling dragon that is both cunning and fierce. His natural camouflage allows him to ambush unwary prey, while his strength and armor make him a match for most foes." So I'm glad you think he was camouflaged, as that was the goal Thanks Slegengr! The black background for the main image was just some black bricks set up to fill the backside of the cave. I was pretty pleased with how that worked out. Thanks Blufiji, I wanted to include some of his treasure hoard embedded in the dirt of his cave and I'm glad you liked that detail.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Back in Mitgardia with this freebuild: -
This is an entry into the Woodland Hideaway category of the Colossal Castle Contest, and the dragon is also an entry into the second Dragon Building Contest. The landscape design was inspired by Brother Steven’s Friosaelt Falls build. The dragon Skogrbani’s lair is hidden deep in the forest. Two unfortunately ignorant thieves thought it was a good idea to hide their loot by burying it in the woods just outside Skogrbani’s home… See more pictures on brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, comments and suggestions are welcome

@MassEditor: Whenever we photograph tan buildings on white, the colors get thrown off for some reason. Also, the domes would have blended into the backdrop on white. I think a neutral gray shade would be a good option, we just have to get some cloth in that color big enough

Gunman is back And even better, with a Mitgardian build and a large project in the works! The stone work using those large roof panels is quite clever, and you have some really neat windows on display Have to mention that boat roof as well, typical Gunman innovation!
-
Very fitting boat for a goblin crew, and the swamp setting is superb It's great that you can actually fit figs and their supplies inside!
-
Your signature rockwork is top-notch as always, and the sprawling trees is lovely
-
Nice landscape and I like the battlements on the wall and the 'mini' tower up there The lime green does work well Nocturnus swamps

Thanks Blufiji Thanks en_zoo! Thanks Garmadon, I'm glad you like the water. Originally I was going to just place the castle on a landscape, but then realized a water setting would be easy to accomplish and a bit more unique. Ah. Generally I like my roofs a little steeper as well, but having just the bottom layer be flatter is pretty realistic. Thanks Gideon, that's medium azure I believe. It comes in Friends sets, and I think it's the color of the new VW bug as well. Thanks man! Thank you

There will be a proper snow castle coming sometime in December -
Great overall layout with the round tower on the left, and house extension on the right. They frame the gate nicely The round tower is likely my favorite section, great shaping there. The angled section of rockwork is excellent, and I like the coastal look the water gives. I think the waterfall could be improved a bit, just in shape, as the technique itself works well. Having it flare out so much towards the bottom looks a little unnatural. Really nice build overall! Good use of the mixel joints
-
That guard is about to get an unpleasant surprise Stunning layout, the composition is perfect, and I love the numerous waterfalls flowing through Tremendous detailing on the buildings as well. A build to be remembered
-
Thanks Slegengr, and don't worry, I'm not leaving Mitgardia I usually only remove the outermost portion of the background, so the sections inside, like under the trees here, are left as they are. I suppose I might want to rework how I do that. Thanks Kai Thanks Legofin, I had fun with the minifig posing so I'm glad you like it Thanks Alfadas!
