  1. Neat base decoration on this little scene The droid arm tree works pretty well too.
  2. Quite a 'dark' atmosphere you created, the numerous vultures really sell the scene Also, your landscape and tree are excellent.
  3. Is the sail custom? It looks great Nice touch with the little vendors stall outside the wall
  4. Superb dragon there! The wings are particularly clever. The SNOT boulder makes a nice base too
  5. Great pines! The irregular base with cobblestone and snow is really nicely done Glad to see you back to building!
  6. Welcome to the guilds! You're off to a great start with this fearsome mount I really like the effect you gave, of it erupting from the ground. A full neutral background for the build would help your presentation
  7. Nicely executed 'rickety' house. I think more of the tree, and less tower might look better overall though, at least another few branches
  8. The combo of dark bley with dark brown is both unique, and good looking Lovely and well equipped smithing area, and that balcony is a great touch
  9. Thanks Legofin! I'm glad you enjoyed the working features Thanks Mike! Good tip there, I wasn't aware of that. When I did diagonal trusses on this tower: I used that method, since it gave the illusion of an 'x' truss system. Since then I just used it as my go-to design I suppose, now that I know better, I'll fix that in future builds. I think it would have actually looked better the correct way on this windmill too Thanks Titus! It's fun to step away from standard color schemes occasionally
  10. One of my favorite landscapes from you: the little stream, rocky banks, bridge, and snow all come together so well I always enjoy seeing your creations, particularly Mitgardian So keep them coming!
  11. Many thanks, Blufiji Thanks! Some cobblestones on the path probably would have fit in nicely, I had mainly just let the olive green define the path, but stones would have made it stand out better. Thanks ME! Full credit for the tree design goes to Joeri Ridder, who was kind enough to make a tutorial. Glorfindel is glad to see some action again I think
  12. Thanks man! I figured the same colorscheme as Sigurd's General Goods would fit well here, and continue the Skyrim vibe nicely. Thanks Henjin! Glad you noticed the touch of putting the windmill up on some rockwork, I figured it made sense and would look better. The stonework is the same basic technique as used on my cottage and general goods store, though a bit different implementation to achieve the rounded shape inside and out. Glad you like that barrel on top too, as I tried several different versions before arriving at that finishing touch Thanks Isundir! Glad it meets Dutch approval
  13. @Trooper919 You're welcome to build in any part of Mitgardia! Would love to see some Mitgardian Elves from you New AoM freebuild:
  14. My phase 2 windmill, this is another build influenced by Skyrim, the windmill is based off of the typical windmills seen in game. I also tried to replicate the tundra look that is common in many regions of Skyrim. This was also my entry to the 2017 Brickstory contest, for the Early Middle Age category. The model features working windmill blades and grindstone, both simultaneously operated by a crank on the back of the windmill. Previous story installments: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Glorfindel and Dedan visit the windmill in Holt to speak with Jarl Arfast. "Welcome, Sir Glorfindel! I'm glad you were willing to meet me here, harvest time sees me at the windmill more often than my hall." "Greetings Jarl, it's nice to have a meeting outside for once. This is my friend, Dedan the hunter." "Good day, hunter Dedan," replied Arfast, "I imagine you two have come with warnings of the conflict in Nocturnus? I can assure you all our warriors have been keeping a watchful eye on our borders and will continue to do so. Though our numbers are limited after the Algus war," he continued sadly. "Yes, that conflict has weakened our forces considerably. I may have some encouraging news though, as I've recently returned from Valholl, and some of the centrally located towns and villages have agreed to send some of their own troops to help reinforce our borders. The troops will be allotted to various villages who are deemed to have special need. And the soldiers will be placed directly under the jarls and lords command." "That is good news! Particularly during this season when our men are so busy preparing for the coming winter months. Thank you Glorfindel." "You are most welcome, Mitgardia must stand together to survive. Now Dedan and I must be off to Firoir on a pressing matter. So good day, Jarl." Check out more pictures here. C&C welcome
  15. Excellent texture all around, and the balcony with awning is perfect Love the fig posing with the guards waiting to ambush the orc
  16. Very exciting contest opportunities! It reminds me of the 5th Guild Challenge, which was really fun. Great to have so much time too!
  17. The use of color is sublime, but I think your flawless presentation is what makes that so obvious The windows and overall style of the inn are really lovely, and I like the addition of railings around the pathways. Top-notch irregular base as well, not using any wedge plates for the bottom edge, and having the rockwork, path, and landscape go straight to the bottom edge works really nicely
  18. I love how outside the box you often go with your builds The bridge is really beautiful and the all LEGO backdrop only adds to the scene
  19. Absolutely gorgeous! I think you did incredibly well capturing an Elven look, without conforming to the typical LOTR style Tremendous use of the dark tan tentacles and large reddish brown curved slopes. The water and trans green in the windows add a nice bit of color too
  20. The dark green roof looks very fitting for an Orc outpost The banner up top, and rockwork are my favorite parts, in addition to the roof
  21. Every aspect of this build is well executed The rock formation adds some nice height contrast, while the path texture and fig posing are quite effective
  22. Certainly will be an impressive layout when finished! I love your use of cheese slopes in walls to form mosaics
  23. Very sad story, well accompanied by an excellent interior The capes for bed roll is a neat design.
  24. Glad to see you back, Mephistopheles! And I can't wait to see your hamlet finished
