  1. The Lion Clan, Wolfpack Clan, and Bear Tribe are my favorites Excellent fig combinations and vignettes for all nine
  2. Thanks Wedge, I'll post another build for him tomorrow
  3. Thanks for the comment! I showed him how to do the pine tree, but the rest is all his design Yup, he watches how I do stuff and sometimes asks for advice. He also looks at other castle MOCs for inspiration Thanks jeroenaa, there are a lot more coming
  4. @DM: That looks spectacular! Looking forward to looking at more detailed pictures
  5. My younger brother, age 11, started making a series of builds about a young man Kendrick, and his goat Basil. Here Kendrick is fishing off a bridge and has just caught something: More pics here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=525410 After catching a fish, Kendrick and Basil walk home: More pics here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=526147 He would appreciate any comments/criticism
  6. As others have said you can have multiple characters, but one of them should be your sig fig. As to what guild to join, go with whatever appeals to you most. Looking at some of the MOCs from each guild might help you decide, here is the index. I'm sure any of the guilds will be more than happy to have you join
  7. Excellent job portraying an old crumbling wall The leaves and plants on the ground look great as well. Good to have you in GoH
  8. Great work capturing the ground texture Excellent fig posing as well, you captured the scene nicely
  9. Nice bridge design and pillars with chains look cool The water confuses me though, why is some of it tiled and some studs? If you don't have enough of either, I think mixing them would look more natural than lines
  10. Thanks odidoma
  11. Thanks Xcod 119, the figs were one of the most important parts of this build Thanks Wedge, glad you like it Thank you, glad you could see what I was trying to portray
  12. Very impressive balancing! I may have to give this a try myself, it seems like so much fun
  13. @Pyrovisionary: Too bad, but you can make up for it later Mitgardia has been doing really well lately with all the freebuilds. Personally I'm working on my biggest build yet, let's keep Mitgardia going strong
  14. For Lenfald Local Challenge 8 in Lands of Classic Castle. The Challenge: "Build a scene depicting either your character or another Lenfel solider returning home from War. The focus should be in capturing emotion, not extravagant Landscapes/buildings!" I used only subdued colors in this build to help add to the serious feeling of war and its aftermath. The houses have full interiors. Some of the soldiers coming home have been injured, others are physically unscathed, and many never return at all. For some families it is a time of joyous reunion; for others, a time of mourning: More pictures can be seen here: link All C&C appreciated
  15. From the names listed it looks like there will be some very impressive builds coming. Guess I'll get back to work on my own build...
  16. Interesting wagon design, the stairs were purposefully built to come out? I like the sections of ruined wall next to the drow tower
  17. As others have said the bright colors and architecture fit Kaliphlin perfectly Amusing storyline too I like the use of the special white arches on the end building
  18. Excellent vignette, the game looks great Nice wall detailing, I like how you show the colors/gem of each guild (or at least the two visible)
  19. @Grazingcattle: Yeah, that sounds like Mitgardia. Glad to hear you will be joining GoH, the others seem to have covered your initial questions very well
  20. Thanks, the wall took the most effort to build
  21. Thanks Gideon, very good suggestion for the snow, that would achieve the look I was going for, yet look more realistic
  22. These pictures really show off the tremendous build this is! I'm very glad you did get around to taking more The building is jaw dropping the stonework, woodwork and roof design all come together beautifully The forestman's hats used as decoration are a neat detail. My only criticisms are toward the landscape: the snow looks a bit block in some places (especially next to the lady), some bushes or even grass stalks here and there would make the snow more interesting (example), and I'm guessing the dark tan/tan plates are a path, if so I think they should go all the way to the stairs,
  23. Wow The dwarf statue is gorgeous, especially the beard I thinks some snow on top of the rocks on the left would look good, and some more dark green plates so that there is a little elevation change in some places. The tree looks great
  24. @jeroenaa; Sounds cool Received an unexpected birthday present today: Will probably be going to the LEGO store this week or next
  25. Thanks kabel As to the path, I imagined it as a rather worn cobblestone road, the stones that are missing leave holes for the snow to accumulate in, does that make sense? Thanks de Gothia! This is my second time doing a wall stepping up a slope, but the first time was on a much smaller scale. It adds a lot of interest to a plain wall
