  1. Seems to me that some delegation might help keep the leader's responsibilities from being overwhelming. That way there is a small group making the important decisions, but more people involved in the process so that they aren't trying to do everything. I do agree that the original leaders should have some say in what direction the next chapter goes, they did start this whole thing...
  2. Thanks DM, I put a fair bit of work into my snow-scapes so I'm glad you like it
  3. You are definitely improving as a builder! This is my favorite from you so far, great work on the ruins and your figs are excellent. The only thing that bothers me is that a few of the figs seem to just be standing around, most are well-posed though. I'm a little confused as to why Cedrican guards are working with the Hand though, were they corrupted?
  4. Started on my next free build today, other than Strongbad, does anyone have a Mitgardian build they're working on?
  5. 5.8 pounds of assorted Bionicle/KK II Large Figures pieces. I got these in a yard sale along with a lot of normal system parts and don't have a use for them. I'm not an expert on Bionicle by any means, but, judging from the parts, most of the stuff seems to be from around 2006-2007. The lot includes everything pictured: 25$ for the lot including shipping, or I'm willing to trade for castle themed CMFs, Hobbit and LOTR figs, useful pieces for castle stuff, or even just normal system bricks. I am willing to split up the lot, let me know what you're interested in. The price is negotiable, just send me a PM
  6. Great tree house! You did a good job rounding the crown and outside of the trunk, but the interior details are what stood out to me, love the beds and weapon racks
  7. Incredible layout The pillars holding the train track are very well designed and I like that you angled the corner pillars to match the curve in the tracks Amazing SHIP too
  8. The irregular base works really well here and I love the texturing on the ground Excellent wall design and rockwork too, the angle makes the wall look much more interesting
  9. Excellent interior, the walls look good and the floor has a nice texture Seems a little odd that there's a trench around the table though
  10. Nice vignette, the rock looks great and Aragorn's posing is excellent
  11. I got 5 sets of green arms, and the castle was my first MOC in the online community: http://brickbuilt.tk/Yellow-Gatehouse.php
  12. Yeah, and all the normal bricks/plates aren't even pictured, I think I got around 100 1x2 bricks plus lots of other assorted bricks/plates. I had to shift around how I store quite a few pieces as they no longer fit in their old containers. I even got the dress that Elon's wife wears
  13. @Strongbad: This technique might work pretty well there: Or this: Or you could do SNOT 1x2 trans clear plates so that the water fall looks like the stream above except upright
  14. I like the section over the waterfall and the inside looks good as well The transition from grass to cliffs could be done better as right now it is just a straight line. Cool portcullis, is there anything in the cave?
  15. Nice wall section and the ballista looks great How does it operate and how far does it shoot? A video would be cool
  16. Welcome to Mitgardia, Legofin2012! Cool introduction and figs Well here are some pics of the find: The tub that it all came in, it was full enough that the raised baseplates wouldn't fit inside: Some of the coolest pieces: black slopes, including corner slopes and other special slopes: raised baseplates with dark red plates (mainly 1x2, about 30) and dark bley tiles (mainly 2x2): grey/bley: there were a ton of slopes, quite a few inverted slopes, some arches, headlight bricks, and other cool pieces: a fair bit of sand green, as well as some animals and animal accesories: minifigs and their accesories, only castle related stuff is in the picture, got quite a few more green arms as well as capes : There were lots of grey/bley, dark grey/bley bricks and plates as well. Was excited to get quite a few 1x2 bricks in bley. There was also a fair bit of tan and most of this set: Unfortunately the actual dragon wasn't in it his wings were though
  17. I am quite pleased with the find, it's all sorted now too, will post pics in a couple of hours
  18. Will have pictures up later today, as for yard sales, this is my first significant find, and I don't really have a method. Got about 39.5 pounds of it sorted yesterday, my boxes are all of a sudden getting very full One of my brothers spotted the ad for this yardsale and it said there were thousands of LEGO bricks, so he gave me a call and told me when it started. I got there within five minutes of when the sale began, the people who sold it actually only live about 1 mile away Sorry to hear you won't have much building time til then, will be worth it though Yeah, I think I probably had 70-90 pounds before this, but the majority of that was yellow/white/black/blue/red. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of bley/dark bley/tan in this tub 40$ I probably could have gotten it significantly cheaper, but it was a kid selling it and we know the family
  19. Found a forty pound tub of assorted LEGO at a yardsale
  20. Thanks, it seems to just be personal preference, some can't stand it, some like it
  21. Picked up a forty pound tub of assorted LEGO at a yard sale this morning Started sorting and there's quite a few good castle pieces, I'll put some pics up soon
  22. Thanks, I've used that window design on another dwarven build before and liked the effect
  23. Thanks for the suggestion! I think that you're right and this definitely adds to the dwarven feel Thanks Gideon, Kayne was right on with his suggestion
  24. Thanks, I know what you mean, my free-build barrage used quite a few ideas I had, but there's always so many more
  25. Superb well design! Is the bottom section of the well actually connected? I really like the shingled roof effect
