  1. Thanks! Especially for civilian torsos, classic minifigures are some of my favorite Thank you Thanks! I'm glad you could easily tell what those were. Thank you Thanks en_zoo, you're right about sloped section of wall. It just rests in place on the cheese, but it's quite stable there. Thanks dG Thank you Grover! Thanks HQ, I went with a full tile offset to match the tiles in the SNOT wall sections. I kind of liked the offset between arches and wall, but I can see how that would look off to you.
  2. I love seeing those old brown doors used Pretty building style with some nice touches for windows and the shop sign. Neat scythe design too
  3. Good use of patterns and color throughout the interior I also like the numerous arches lining the tan corridor. A couple good overview pictures would be nice, so we can see how all the sections fit together
  4. Angling the buildings makes for a much more dynamic scene, and also allowed you to pack plenty into the small base area Between the wall colors and neat stripes you've created some excellent Kaliphlin architecture!
  5. Nice use of brackets for the SNOT stonework on the bley building section I like the concept of hinge plates to make an arch shape, but think it would fit better on a larger building where you could incorporate more hinges for a smoother arch
  6. Quite a solid wagon design, and it's well loaded Fun touch having oxen pulling the heavy load instead of horses like is usually done
  7. Lovely forge that truly captures a Mitgardian look! Excellent dirt path and snow effects, but the the neat cave cutaway and pretty interiors steal the show That is a very clever floor design and it fits nicely in the forge area
  8. Super stuff @Blaze! The manor is especially impressive
  9. Superb photo quality that shows off the lovely landscape colorscheme perfectly Nifty minifigure combos on the orcs, and a herd of goats is always fun to see!
  10. Aww, you're too kind Glad you like them! Free Floating Cobblestone Tutorial
  11. Super unique approach to the entertainment category! Excellent brick built instruments, fun storyline, and loads of intriguing minifigure interactions makes for a very engaging scene Fun to see the Storrars enjoying the concert
  12. Excellent beach campfire! The flames' glow is very convincing, and you did well posing the various figs.
  13. Good fig combos and night lighting It would have been nice to see a couple brighter pictures to get a better look at the build though
  14. Excellent stone building. The various offsets and arched portions give a very solid look Good use of the round tile cobblestone technique, and your mix of colors there works well. Plenty of goods and activity in the scene too!
  15. Top notch buildings with so many incredible brick built arches Brilliant colors and roof designs too. Every area looks well thought out, and you maintained a very consistent aesthetic between all the buildings Congrats on your well earned win
  16. I think I would rather not walk down this alley Super effective design having the upper stories of the buildings lean out over the street That definitely helps with the impression of a crowded city area, along with the haphazard street itself. Well done all around
  17. Typical Barqa beauty Wonderful use of sand red, and the roofs look incredible repeated throughout the scene I love the stairway to a second story entrance, with boarded window beneath. Very smooth incorporation of lighting too!
  18. It's good seeing that tree design used in a build again! Thanks for including a well lit photo, in addition the nicely fire lit shots I like how you included a few tree stumps
  19. Very interesting design choice to have the entire landscape rotated 45° to the border. I don't think I've seen that done before, and it gives a neat dynamic to the scene. And that's a lovely harness design utilizing the handle bar element
  20. Don't worry, it just takes some practice to get the hang of! Try messing around with various styles in small scenes and before long, you'll find something that works well for you Window Tutorial
  21. This was part one of my 10th entry into the CCC XVI, for the From Field to Goblet category. This entry focused on the production of apple cider, so of course the first scene shows an orchard. When researching the process for making medieval cider (not much different than today’s process actually) I found it interesting that they often used long poles to whack the tree’s branches and cause any apples to fall to the ground where they could then be easily picked. So I included that in my rendition of a medieval apple harvest, as well as stone walls making terraces in the orchard. In the fall Eryl and Elise have a grand time helping with the apple harvest. Plenty of wildlife is always present around the fruit trees, and apple picking is one of the twin’s favorite harvest activities. Find more pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
  22. Lovely buildings lining the back edge of the street The colors all work smoothly together, and you have a nice mix of textures. Plenty of fun and interesting fig posing inside the arena and among the spectators. Is that Eryl getting a boost from Mikkel Winter Stone for a better view among the Mitgardian fans?
  23. Wonderfully amusing story You're developing a very recognizable style for Gnomish models, which is super fun to see. Great mix of pipes, valves, and gears
  24. Unique choice to use dark red and dark orange for the path, and I like how it looks Beautiful roof technique using those minecraft elements It's great seeing more events through Meiyo's perspective too
  25. Everyone looks to be having a good time at this summer festival! Beautiful use of color with the various greens and pops of brighter colors from the tents and figs I like that large barrel stand using inverted arches, and will have to remember it for my own builds. Quite a herd of goats too
