Yeah the Sandcrawler definitely isn't as iconic as the ones you listed but it's still pretty memorable to me. Personally I really want one as it's one of the OT sets I'm missing in my collection. As for the Falcon I think Lego has kept it on shelves for so long because it sells so well. I do agree with you though, we can definitely go a few years without a UCS Falcon. 2030 sounds perfect for a new one, they could make it Hoth themed like the 04 one. Yeah people need to vote with their wallet if they want Lego to change.

I think 2027 would be a bit soon for a cantina, the MBS one was one shelves for over 4 years. The rest of the sets are probably due for a remake.

I hope they focus mainly on A New Hope since that is the movie turning 50. I think a new UCS Falcon is highly probable, we had one in 2007, 2017, 2027? I'd be more surprised if we didn't. I could also see us finally getting a new y-wing.

I hope we get a UCS Sandcrawler for the 50th. The old one still holds up but has the issue of brittle brown. As for ROTS anniversary I feel like the sets we're getting aren't iconic to the film besides the Arc-170. I'd much rather have a new Dooku than background clones

Yeah I'd rather have 2 death watch mandos and 2 super commandos. Odd that they'd do a Vader bust since the helmet is still on shelves. Despising people who want Lego clone troopers is pretty silly. There's not some grand conspiracy against Andor fans by the evil clone bros . Also you guys have to realize OT fans still have it way better than most other licensed themes. As for Andor, it's a show for adults. Kids are probably more interested in clones, though I would love a Tie Avenger

For your own sanity you may want to consider stopping the show after season 6 and reading the books instead. I agree I don't hate this year at all, that's why I framed it as a question to stir discussion. GOT S8 would be more equivalent to the first order AT-ST. No one is dictating anything, Lego is just making what sells. The truth is clones are way more interesting than faceless stormtroopers to most fans. Kids who grew up with the prequels and clone wars played with Lego, now they're grown up with money to spend and Lego is just capitalizing off that.

Is this year equivalent to season 8?

It's just a nostalgia thing for me, I think the old faces had a simplistic charm to them. It would definitely look out of place on modern minifigures though. I'm glad you got the Plo Koon Microfighter, I think its the best Microfighter we've ever gotten.

I'm pretty much in the same boat, I do think helmet holes ruin the figure more than the art style though. I thought the 2020 501st clones looked pretty good , not as good as 2014 though.

They're moving towards clone content specifically, don't get me wrong though I'd love a Lucrehulk but I'm just being realistic here.

Krennic shuttle microfighter Hopefully they include the sail if they do the Solar Sailor again, it will probably be pretty expensive though.

Captain Rex microfighter is $6 right now so hopefully Plo Koon will get that low eventually. Idk why but I like hearing how other people collect Lego

Darth Bane was literally in the Clone Wars ARC the set was based off of.

We got one TPM playset this decade so far, I'd be surprised if we got any of them.

They could do a Yoda vs Count Dooku duel or just put him in a Vulture droid or some other clone wars vehicle. Yeah this is a good point, they could've put a figure like Darth Bane in the Yoda Starfighter from 2023. That way hardcore collectors and kids are both interested in the set.

Fair points, though I don't think the dark falcon would sell as well as a normal OT one. I do think if they made a set like the Rogue shadow or the Outrider it would sell well if done properly. There were some pretty obscure sets from when I was a kid and I thought they were cool.

How is Lego making obscure stuff worse than making RTG sets though? 100% of fans don't know what a dark falcon is, so this argument doesn't really work.
