  1. Yeah a real clone brand would be like Lepin for example. They just straight up copy Lego sets 1:1, but worse quality. I'm glad companies like Lumibricks exist because more competition benefits the consumer.
  2. Yeah for sure, it just gave me TCW movie vibes.
  3. I think it could be considered a Clone Wars movie set, since Obi wan and Ventress duel on Teth in those outfits.
  4. Midi scale Death Star 2 sounds cool.
  5. So do you have any proof of this? I haven't bought from them before, but from what I've seen their part quality and customer service are solid. As for trademarks...? No they aren't violating any trademarks; the patent for plastic interlocking bricks is long expired and LEGO wasn't even the one to invent the interlocking brick, Kiddicraft was. For $220 which is really pushing it, it's certainly reasonable to print all those extra details you're talking about.
  6. Lumibricks cost way less than Lego and they print all their pieces.
  7. I don't think LOTR needs to be an evergreen theme for Lego, but I think a few years of sets would be very popular. Just look at how expensive the old sets are, there's clearly a market for smaller sets. I think LOTR is more popular among older kids rather than young, given the comparative maturity to HP. The 2012-2014 LOTR and Hobbit sets among my friends and I were well liked.
  8. I like the idea of getting Delta squad but I doubt they'd do anniversary figs for the Clone Wars, especially when 2029 is the 30th anniversary of the theme as a whole. I like your UCS ideas, the U-wing could really be done justice at that size. Lucrehulk with an interior would be insanely cool. I'm surprised you left out the Tie Avenger, unless you think there's still a chance in 2027.
  9. I'm a bit surprised it's lasted this long without much new content. The Fantastic Beast movies weren't very popular outside of maybe the first one. I suppose the game from a few years ago was pretty popular. I'd gladly see a theme like LOTR replace HP.
  10. You think? I don't really expect them to make any more Indy sets unless we get new content. I think the 2023 wave would've been pretty perfect if they didn't cancel that Temple of Doom set, the wave felt incomplete without it.
  11. I definitely agree the old sets were basic, but I think they had some charm. For 3818, $120 seems a bit steep for a used one, considering it retailed for $50. At that point I'd rather bite the bullet and get the new one, perhaps on sale. The secondary market for SpongeBob isn't 06 Batman levels but they're still a bit steep for my liking, at least the better sets are.
  12. The set looks fantastic, but honestly I kind of preferred when the builds were a bit simpler/smaller and therefore cheaper. I love SpongeBob but don't have a ton of space and $220 is a fair bit for a Lego set (for me at least). Almost every licensed theme that gets brought back these days is paywalled behind a $200+ price point. If they do the Krusty Krab I hope it's more in the $100-$150 price range.
  13. I looked it up and they are indeed more expensive now, in my head they should still be $200.
  14. Perhaps, I thinks it's rumored to be $200 so hopefully not too small.
  15. Yeah he probably should've clarified the correct amount here.
  16. I agree, although apparently it can be easily modded into a modular.
  17. And the theater isn't a Star Wars set just because it has a few references. This argument could go both ways. I mean, you could certainly group it with holiday themed sets. Most people probably display it with their Christmas decorations rather than Star Wars sets. I think it's fair to say the cinema is drastically different than any other Star Wars set ever made.
  18. A palace cinema could easily double as a generic city set, While the Disney Castle and Train are specific to Disney. Is the new Lava Land Roller Coaster Park a Power Miners set? I think it's sort of a grey area. If you had a City display and a Star Wars display where would you put it?
  19. Will the Theater be considered a Star Wars set? It sounds more like a City adjacent set than a true Star Wars set. Still sounds pretty cool though.
  20. This sums up my thoughts as well. Like why would I want a BTS diorama instead of the actual scene? I want to be immersed in the movies, not reminded about how it's all fake.
  21. I think it's the best Microfighter we've ever gotten, even if it is a little overpriced.
  22. I agree maxifigs are a terrible subtheme for Star Wars. I think it works better for Lego IP stuff like the classic spaceman.
  23. I said the design is cool but I still passed on the previous Kylo Ren shuttle's and I certainly wouldn't buy a remake. I sold any sequel sets I had back in 2020, I now own 0 ST sets and would never buy one again. I'm sure there's a market for Sequel sets but it's a lot smaller than the market for PT, OT, Clone Wars. Do you really think there are many people who would buy a resistance bomber? It'd cost well over $100 and it's from the movie that killed Star Wars. There's a major difference which is that the Blue Squadron X-Wing released alongside a movie. The sequels are 10 years old at this point. Brutal indeed, my most desired fig, in my least desired set.
  24. Naming one ship I liked across the entire trilogy isn't really much praise. I wished the sequels showed the next evolution of ship/vehicle design since it took place 30 years after ROTJ. We should've seen more E-Wings and B-Wings. And why were Y-wings in TROS? they were outdated even by the OT. From a more casual fan perspective they pretty much fill the same niche. I remember as a kid I didn't get the new ST X-Wings because I had the 2012 X-wing, I preferred getting the newer designs like the FO transport ship. I could see them doing a Black One X-Wing in 2035 for the 20th anniversary of TFA. Pretty much the only time they acknowledge the sequels these days is for an anniversary.
