  1. I actually haven't watched it so I can't really judge. The reason being by 2023 I had lost all hope for Star Wars shows after the disastrous Book of Boba and Kenobi, and Ahsoka isn't exactly a character I think is deserving of her own show. She should've died in rebels imo. I hear people talk about it a lot so I'm tempted to give it a watch, although I'm not a big Dave Filoni fan.
  2. They probably wouldn't do one for $350 these days, The 05 DS2 adjusted for inflation is about $450. With some added detail I could see the new one around $500, and that would be on the lower side realistically.
  3. I think the Rex criticism comes from the fact that Lego lied and said he was exclusive in the instruction manual of the UCS Venator.
  4. Ahsoka of all things, really? otherwise I agree with your sentiment, there are plenty of great games, books, and comics I can get my Star Wars fix from.
  5. If the Death Star doesn't have an exterior then it's an MBS to me.
  6. Maybe they'll put him in a set not related to the movie? unlikely though since we don't get many sets anymore.
  7. Well MandR hasn't army built since the 2020 501st set, and he literally trashed on the 327th battle pack and told his fans NOT to buy it. Anyway you can read my follow up post where I backtracked and said it's understandable since it's for the kids B-day.
  8. I wonder if we'll finally get a Clayface minifigure with the new movie coming out.
  9. Yeah it's understandable if the kid really wants the set for his birthday. It's just crazy how How I could get 4 battle packs for the price of one new one when I was a kid.
  10. And this is why we have $45 battle packs
  11. Rebel pilot helmets are the same, I thought the 2018 ones were more accurate though.
  12. The set is partly based off of ROTJ so technically it is accurate, it would be nice to get the correct torso for ANH Vader eventually though.
  13. And the most interesting Death Star locations have already been made into dioramas. For me the Royal Guards ranks pretty low in the issues with the figures in this set
  14. Potential hot take here but I would've just preferred a remake of the 2005 death star 2 for around $500, no interior. A giant diorama of scenes just isn't as cool to me.
  15. I like how they still use the same royal guard helmet from 2001, it's pretty much perfect.
  16. Yeah it's him or Malak for me, would be Cal if they included his poncho...
  17. What's crazy is that they put the dual molded C3PO in a $140 set (buildable C3PO) and imperial officer dual molded legs in a $70 set (Vader meditation) yet can't do it in a $1000 set.
  18. Well more people buy sets when they're on discount so I think it's relevant to the discussion. I'm willing to bet most LSW sets sell better at a lower price. Take Obi wans starfighter from 2022, it has been 20% off at your standard retailers for years now. Does that mean it's sold poorly? No, and it also hasn't stopped Lego from increasing Jedi starfighter/interceptor every year. People need wait for clearance or not buy at all for this to have any change in Lego's future prices.
  19. Something about the new Arkham feels off to me, apparently it has 65 stickers too which isn't great...
  20. The MOC's are actually cool though
  21. I think the 20% off sale has been common for like 10 years now, at least online.
  22. Again I don't have all the facts on this, but don't retailers put most Lego sets 20% off after 3-6 months regardless of if it sells well? And also more people are likely to buy a set on sale, for example 5 would buy full price but 10 would buy it on sale, making the same amount of profit in that scenario.
  23. Yeah I miss the alt builds on the back of the box, definitely something old Star Wars sets did better. Of course it probably wouldn't work today due to so many specialized pieces.
