  1. I'm pretty sure the leaker said it was just the US, but I could be wrong.
  2. Seen it coming? the MAGA people don't even understand how tariffs work
  3. Yeah and now they're even more insanely overpriced due to the tariffs... Most of Legos factories are in tariffed countries.
  4. Last year we got 2 mega battle packs and one regular, so I think they're just making the mega battle packs to make more money off of army builders. the mega battle packs are really just two battle packs combined into one set so you are forced to get both sides even if you only wanted one (clones for example).
  5. The "Jango Fett Starship" on the plaque and the Boba Fett hairpiece kind of ruin an otherwise pretty good set, and the stickers aren't great either. Can't say there are many sets this year I'm interested in.
  6. It's a cool design but it was literally in the movie for 3 seconds.
  7. Yeah my thoughts as well, it's a cool set but not enough for me to essentially have two of the same ship. The plaque being wrong and boba's hair are also very disappointing, the build seems very well done though.
  8. "Inside every cynical person is a disappointed idealist"
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think KK worked on the original 6 Star Wars films, just Indiana Jones. As for Dave I think he should just stick to animation, his live action stuff is really bad. Heck even Clone Wars and rebels are a bit overrated. Agreed, they should take a long break from making any shows or movies. Maybe they can come back after KK is gone and get someone competent in there. Ahsoka, Rex, and Maul all should've died on Mandalore, they've been milked to death at this point. Anyway, does anyone here actually prefer all the recent downsizing to LSW sets?
  10. I didn't even bother to watch the Acolyte, to me Star Wars has been at rock bottom since TROS. For every good piece of content it seems like we get five bad ones, so one okay movie isn't gonna be enough for me to care or bring any goodwill back to the franchise. I just don't want a movie where the plot is essentially: Oh no baba Yoda was captured by the empire again, Mando, Ahsoka, Boba fat, Bo katan, Luke Skywalker all team up and kill the stormtroopers and save Baby yoda, The End. Also I don't think it's guaranteed to turn a profit, I think you're overestimating peoples love for this show. Lastly by making a riskier Star Wars film I don't mean making a movie based on one of the most hated Star Wars characters, that's just stupid.
  11. At this point I literally don't think they can make the reputation of the franchise any worse, most people see Star Wars as a joke now. A lot of people stopped caring after the sequels and they're going to need a serious heavy hitter to bring them back. I don't think most will care enough to see a generic 6/10 Mando and Grogu movie after season 3, maybe had they used the hype coming off season 2 it could have worked.
  12. I'd argue none of the original 6 Star Wars films are "safe", part of what made them good is that they were new and original. TFA just hopped on the trend of rehashing old movies to make money off nostalgia (member berries) and it's a big problem plaguing Hollywood today. We've had 3 seasons of the Mandalorian and it already feels stale, most of the episodes use the same formula. I just want something that feels fresh and original like Andor, we've had enough safe films by now. And I don't think they're going to win back support with 6/10 Solo type of movie.
  13. We really do live in a society Yeah this GWP seems boring to me, even ignoring all the clone stuff we're getting this year.
  14. I'm still mad they cancelled the Temple of Doom set, I really hope they bring this theme back.
  15. I think the 2006 version still holds up well today, it actually came with the Skiff and Sarlacc and doesn't cost an arm and a leg like the new UCS one.
  16. Same, I really want to add a Sail Barge to my collection but the new one doesn't do it for me. I might end picking up one of the older ones if I can find one for a decent price.
  17. Yeah I feel like ROTJ has been neglected for a while, we got the barge and skiff sets but those we're pretty overpriced and disappointing to me.
  18. They really just need to remake the Endor bunker at this point, and have a battle pack go alongside it.
  19. Well you either have to spend the money on the retail sets or use brick link (I promise it's not that hard, I did it when I was 13). It's definitely not exclusive to the main cast, I just used it as an example, clone wars fans are very guilty of this too. For the record I'd love it if they would put popular named characters in $15 minifig packs but sadly that's not reality. The cheapest way now is through mechs and microfighter's which they've been doing, but with only 1 figure per set it's hard to get every popular SW character because there's so many. And for the $30+ range I don't think they should necessarily pick sets just so they can put popular OT characters in them. Also just personally speaking I never had every character I wanted when I was a kid but I still made up stories and battles just fine, having the main OT cast in their classic outfits is more of a collector thing imo. All in all, the concerns are valid, I'm just trying to say Lego is more than just the figures which people seem to be so fixated on nowadays.
  20. I think people focus too much on minifigures. If all you care about is having the OT cast, go buy action figures. And if you really love the minifigures that much, then just make a brick link account and buy them all for $10. It's really not hard to find out how to buy figures on the secondary market, literally a quick google search. As long as Lego refuses to sell Star Wars minifigs directly it's just going to be hard to have all the characters you want available for cheap.
  21. The problem is split legs wouldn't work with the current torso, the new B1 would probably end up looking a lot different from the old one. At this point I think it's just too late to change it, it's an absolute iconic staple of LSW. I think it's grandfathered in like the Minifigure is. I think it's like the rebel pilot helmets in that even though it's not the most accurate, it has a very LEGO feel to it, fans will be angry if it's changed after so long. Also B1 can't be improved since you cannot improve that which is perfection.
  22. It's kind of impressive how much you guys keep track of new molds, I honestly never gave it much thought.
  23. Yeah I guess I was just saying some sets should be more affordable so kids aren't priced out of an X-wing or Tie fighter. To your point though I think the justifier is a good example of a set that was too expensive for a ship no one really cared about. And why didn't Lego make clones until 2002? They must truly hate clone fans. It's kind of funny how often this is brought up here, even all these years later since the change. I am guilty of this myself, kind pf goes to show how many dislike the current helmet.
  24. I don't think the value on the new one is bad but they should've made it $100 and done it justice. Some sets are okay downsized but this isn't an iconic ship and doesn't need to be affordable like a Tie fighter or an X-wing does, in my opinion.
