I'd rather them just bring back light up lightsabers. -

I hope they downscale the next AT-ST, the one from the Endor bunker was closest to minifig scale. -

Yeah for sure, I'm talking about the people who just buy 20 of the current battle pack and stick them on a baseplate. Obviously people can spend their money how they want, I just personally find niche armies a little more interesting. Yeah I've noticed it's pretty rare for a set to have both a good build and figures these days. The Snowtroopers bother me because they had them perfect in 2014. I definitely regret not getting more imperial and clone BPs from that era, I didn't realize they'd be so bad now. -

Clones are also more varied due to the different styles so that makes them more collectable, I think them being colorful makes them more interesting to kids too. I'd love to see more people build unique armies like Jawa's or Naboo. Clone armies have gotten quite stale, we've all seen them enough times. -

I think clones are more popular than stormtroopers because we connect with them as characters. -

I think this is a complicated topic. Lego Star Wars has always been a top selling theme because it's Star Wars, pretty much anything they release will sell. I do believe though that the better set/minifigs will sell more copies. For example if the 327th BP was 2014 style with kama's they'd sell better, perhaps not a significant enough amount though. I would say I'm pretty picky when it comes to Lego because I've been collecting for a long time and have limited space. I need to be all around satisfied with a set if I'm going to buy it, I forget not everyone is like this. This is why I've never collected many TPM Lego sets because they don't really fit anywhere in my collection. I display mostly by factions so a Naboo starfighter or Sith infiltrator wouldn't really fit anywhere. I still want the 2007 MTT though. -

Yeah these people bother me, I hate modern clones and stormtroopers so I simply don't buy any sets with them. I try even not to complain about them too much but modern LSW just takes L after L, I don't have much good things to say about the theme these days. -

I was being hyperbolic but I genuinely believe these clones wont go up in price as much because they aren't as good as 2014 clones. -

The cheapest fighter tank on BL is $41, $1 above retail. Not profitable unless you bought on sale. The troopers go for $8 used, $10 new, decently high but nothing crazy. I am just making market predictions. Too many people are investing and collecting now for these sets/figures to go up in value considerably. The 2020 501st battle pack retired 3 years ago and you can buy it for $35 (inflation adjusted this set would be $37). The time to invest in Lego was 15 years ago when hardly anyone was doing it. I think it would be a bad idea financially to invest in any of these modern clones/clone sets, you'd be better off putting that money in the S&P 500. I'm open to hearing an argument how I'm wrong but you don't seem to have data to back your claims either (if were talking 2022 clones). -

I shouldn't of have said most dislike them, but a good chunk of LSW fans do not. There has been a lot of backlash to the new clones this summer, I don't think people are buying many of the 327th set. My point with this is that I believe people are genuine when they say they don't like modern clones, they aren't telling their fans not to buy them, so they can sell them for profit in 10 years. This doesn't even make sense, and assumes people are morons who can't think for themselves and blindly listen to influencers. 187th didn't have helmet holes, it also has not gone up in price, check Bricklink. My reasons for why they wont go up much in the future is because so many more people are collecting/investing in clone stuff now, there will be high supply and likely low demand assuming we continue getting clones in the future and they can't really get worse than they are now. The reason 2014 clones are worth so much is due to low supply (less investors in 2014) and high demand (due to how great figures they are). These 2022-2025 clones are the worst ones ever produced, I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually get better clones, if not then there will continue being a high supply and thus low value. -

If we assume it takes a year for a set in development then they were probably made before the new canon which was created in April 2014. Not arguing your point, just thinking about how by 2015 they were scraping the bottom of the barrel for new sets due to lack of new content. The force unleashed battle pack was pretty niche considering the game was 7 years old at that point. You just made up this fake outrage scenario. Modern Clones are genuinely disliked by most people and have not gone up in price. You are also using the word scalping incorrectly. -

Lego themselves benefitted most from the 501st battle pack as they realized they could be charging way more money for battle packs. Clone battle packs used to be $2.50 ($4 adjusted for inflation) per figure, now the new one is $11.25 per clone. Sure you get more pieces but who really cares about battle pack builds anyway. The 501st battle pack essentially killed affordable army building, so now only rich youtubers can do it. -

I think Lego YouTube has especially gotten worse over the years, so many Mr Beast style slop channels. Reddit can be decent but you have to sift through a lot of generic posts, the upvote system definitely makes it an echo chamber though. I guess I'm one of the younger people here, I think people my age tend to use social media more than forums. -

I'm a bit younger, born in 2004 so I never really used forums much until last year. I just lurked occasionally on Eurobricks since the mid 2010s but I mostly used Instagram, Reddit, and YouTube, now I much prefer Eurobricks for Lego discussion as it's more civilized and no slop content. -

I believe you have it switched, I remember them being gray in ANH and blueish in ROTJ and ESB, I will have to double check my Blu Rays though. Sand blue Executor would be pretty cool. -

I still can't believe they stopped dioramas before we could get cool prequel ones, the Podrace one was garbage. -

it's also worth noting Lego already does this with X-wings and Snow speeders which are light gray but Lego makes them white to stand out more. -

Yeah I'd be fine with that, the tie fighters aren't really blue in other media outside of ESB and ROTJ, so a Tie Avenger wouldn't look right as sand blue. -
Yeah I don't think people realize just how big the Star Wars galaxy is. There are over one hundred quadrillion sentient beings, so many stories to be told with new characters.

Fair but I think sand blue would look better, even if not totally accurate. Similar to the bad batch shuttle -
