  1. I wonder if part of the problem is that kids aren't into star wars as much anymore. The only Star Wars content that has released in Disney era that was well received and popular/mainstream was The Mandalorian and the Force awakens, and the latter released nearly a decade ago. I think Marvel is much more popular with kids these days, if you look at box office numbers its pretty clear which is more liked.
  2. I know its kind of cliche to complain about Lego star wars prices at this point but I swear these past couple years have gotten insane. yeah people have always complained about Lego's prices even back in the day but it just seems so blatant now. Jedi starfighter prices have literally risen $5 a year since 2022, and helmet prices increasing by $10 after we the last ones were only $70, along with the countless other sets this year which are overpriced. personally I will vote with my wallet and stop buying these overpriced sets and id encourage you to do the same if you feel likewise.
  3. I think the actual build is great but the price and the lack of sarlacc pit/desert skiff, and some minor inaccuracies on the figures kinda brings the set down for me.
  4. I thought it was odd they made the standard tie and tie bomber in a smaller scale and then made the new tie interceptor in scale with the 2018 solo tie fighter, I find the 2023 interceptor looks a bit weird next to the bomber.
  5. I think not releasing a b-wing alongside the new Star Destroyer was a big missed opportunity, its been ten years since the last one.
  6. I think as far as 18+ sets go we should get three a year, whether its helmet, midi scale, or diorama (not including UCS). They typically cost between $60-$100 so all together they would roughly average around $240 which I think is enough for most AFOLs if they want to collect them all.
  7. this is purely anecdotal but it seemed like when Ninjago came out around 2011/2012 it overtook Star Wars as the most popular LEGO theme among my friend group which were 8-9 years old at the time. I would guess Ninjago and Marvel are the most popular among kids today.
  8. I think its a good way to keep track of your collection. I personally will sometimes sell an old set I don't care as much about to make room for something new, and sometimes I forget about a set so brickset helps with that. they also have a section called set collection analysis where you can see interesting graphs and data on your collection.
  9. not quite the same but you can see how many people own a set on brickset which at least gives you an idea on how well a set sold.
  10. I wish the "MILF" had more screen time in the movie
  11. I can overlook minor inaccuracies on figs in playsets but its simply inexcusable to have things like a printed waist cape for rex in a $650 UCS set only adults can afford, at that point its just LEGO being cheap and lazy.
  12. The Mandalorian is really overrated, I haven't seen s3 but s2 was just a cameo fest of fan favorite characters. The actual writing is rather poor with the most simplistic bare bones plot something a 12 year old would come up playing with his toys
  13. I feel like most of the diorama sets could've just been playsets (Endor, Yoda's hut, Final duel) instead they just slap a black base around it and charge double that of a playset
  14. This is one of the worst summer waves in years in my opinion. -overpriced -sets that no one wanted like the droid set -SD is too small -dark falcon is neat concept but too expensive for a gimmick set, could have gotten an MTT instead
  15. $45 seems overpriced considering the last one was only $30...
