My son loves Benny and I wanted to build him a little car. The back cart is detachable, but my main goal was to build something sturdy that also looks at least Classic Space-adjacent. We don't have many pieces yet so it was fun to do what I could with what I have. I hope you like it!

You know I actually agree with you it compliments the black a lot better too. I forgot to post my own unpopular opinion; I just do not care for Star Wars Lego at all. The last Sw movie I saw was Phantom Menace in theatres, I liked it, and I do remember liking the Qui Gon minifig I ended up with but I just lost interest in the franchise and have never bought a SW set. I would like to clarify that I don't like have anything against the franchise it just didn't get its hooks in me the way other space stuff did for me as a kid.

LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion
Space Coyote replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh I missed that detail my mistake! They could get away with omitting the sword altogether for the Oot version, unless it's the future version of that tree that adult Link returns to. I honestly don't know how they could get the hilt details right without a special mold. Maybe it's just too early to tell at this point, I really hope they can do this justice, I'm really excited for when we get more info! -
Which Lego YouTube channels are best these days?

Oh wow I appreciate this so much, so many great channels mentioned throughout this thread as well, thanks again! -
LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion
Space Coyote replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I guess it depends on what version of the tree they are most closely basing this on. What I read seems to indicate that it's more based on botw, so it would make zero sense to not include the master sword as part of a brick built pedestal in front of the tree, it'd be sweet if the sword could be drawn from its resting place. I'd be surprised if that wasn't included as a "play feature". -
Thank you all for your quick replies and help, I have plenty of fresh stuff for my yt algorithm, I really appreciate it!

Oh wow, kudos! This is awesome, it has a Classic Space feel but with modern parts, I really love that concept, and it's inspiring that you made something so impressive with modern, easy-to acquire parts, I wonder what could be done with multiple copies of other sets from this line, like the Space Science Lab.

Can you recommend any Lego-centric channels that are smaller? I'd love to help smaller channels with a sub and just want to check out more Lego videos. Nothing against the big channels but my youtube seems to think I only want to watch SpitBrix and nothing else.

Hey I just wanted to let you know lego worlds is on sale for very cheap now on ps4, the space add on is cheap too. I started playing this morning it only took an hour to unlock the classic space area, it's awesome!

Aw yeah these are really awesome, the old ice planet visor looks perfect with that new chest piece, it's a much better fit than the new helmet mold.

Yeah it was a struggle to find the pink space baby this month, every store we checked was always missing that one, I managed to snag one from a sad picked-over pile of 6 of them. I was only able to get the alien tourist because they restocked them like what must've been ten minutes before my wife went grocery shopping and just happened to see them there. It feels good to get lucky and find what you're after but it's equally a huge bummer when you don't even get a chance. I like the idea of being able to just buy a complete set, but I'd be surprised if Lego did that. Really the problem is the parasitic scalper community, it's infected so much. Going back to the bags would be nice but I understand the boxes are better for the environment so it feels selfish to want the bags back in a way. I do miss feeling them, the rush of isolating and identifying the brown spaceman's walkie talkie antennae was awesome, somehow it's not the same using the scanner.

You've done amazing work here, you definitely succeeded in making something that tells a story, this looks organic and lived in, the balconies and windows are the standout features to me but I love everything about this really. I'm excited to see more details!

[MOC] US Red Nose Truck
Space Coyote replied to Aleh's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Excellent work, the front grill looks perfect, but so does everything else! Also the outdoor lighting really compliments the build, it looks downright majestic in the sunlight! -
Looks fantastic! The building techniques you used make it look extra sturdy. It looks like my kid (or I) could drop this and it'd stay in one piece. I also love that this is a repurposed Vic, it makes me imagine that after the events of Gradius the pilot joined the Ice Planet folks and simply repurposed their ship they already had to suit their new job, very cool!

This is great, I love that one guy on the right just gazing up in awe, just frozen while everyone else runs away, little details like that do a lot toward making these scenes come alive. The forest area is well built too, and the Leshy is very intimidating, what an amazing build!

I don't have to do too much to fit it into my life, my son loves to play with lego and is always happy when I build him something, a few weeks ago we built a moon buggy for our brown spaceman with a hatch that opens for a seat for his baby, he's kept that together and plays with it like every day.
-
That's a great idea about adding a rocky side I bet that'll come together nicely, also if you get on Lego Ideas you'll have my support for sure!
-
Any updates on this? I'm interested to see what you've got so far! Maybe if you can make the building a bit taller it wouldn't look as small next to the ships but would keep the footprint compact, just throwing ideas out there! :)

I'm excited to see it come to life, I think this is a great idea, and it'll be interesting to see as your progress continues, please DO put a ghost in the attic, it'd look perfect with the house, which kind of reminds me of the Addams family house but more grounded and less over-the-top so a ghost would be a nice nod to that in a way. I can't wait to see what you come up with for the furniture, it's going to look great! I was also pretty inspired by the friends bed & breakfast set and this is looking to be an even cooler version of that since you won't be limited by part count and all that.

Very impressive! You used the bananas so convincingly that I wouldn't have even known that was how you made the dome if you hadn't revealed it, but I'm glad you did. I really appreciate all the pictures, this is fantastic work!

I know you will find one it seems like they made a lot of this series based on how quickly it got restocked so I'm sure you'll have a few more chances. Dollar General carries older cmf series so you may see them there too much later on but I bet you'll have one soon, department stores like Kohl's may be worth a try also.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Hey did you ever get your pink space baby? The shops around here restocked already, you may want to check again if you haven't in awhile.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Space Coyote replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I think this is a good enough idea that it deserves its own set, like maybe one where the new city space characters find an old wreckage where a cs astronaut has been surviving out there for a long time, that would be so cool! Also, about the new color, what do you folks think about metallic silver? It'd contrast with the logo printing perfectly and I feel that color appropriately evokes the retro futurist vibe of Classic Space. -
Dude that is super sweet looking, the legs are a perfect match in my opinion. Sorry about your luck with the 6 pack, but at least you have a nice pool of unique minifig parts to customize with. Glad you were able to get what you were missing.

That link you posted actually works perfect on my laptop, thank you so much for that! Really love the vibe and aesthetic I see why this one is so loved.
