  1. Awesome stuff, I love the detailing and color scheme, Fright Knights was a favorite of mine as a kid so this was a real treat for me. I love that hooded minifigure, the black hood looks great with the red armor torso!
  2. Very well done, this build is packed with detail despite being compact. I liked hunting for the chameleon, it made the viewing experience feel more interactive, very cool!
  3. Yeah that's a proper assessment. The CN dub was heavily edited for gore (people get holes blasted clean through their torso every handful of episodes). I'm only really a big fan of the first few seasons but the worst I remember seeing was someone getting sliced clean in half at the waistline. There's also some suggestive stuff but it's very par-for-the-course with anime. It's definitely not too adult to at least get a nod to the fortnite skin. I'd actually like to see an official Goku minifig. Those exoforce hair molds were already pretty close, I think they could ace it if it can actually happen.
  4. Your creative use of pieces in clever ways is great, that smoke coming from the top is a great use of that piece. I really like how this has two seasonal variants - that's a novel concept! Apologies for being late to this or I would've easily given my support on your BL page. Amazing work either way!
  5. Hey that just means you were thinking on the same wavelength as the pros! Really effective use of those plate pieces to build the sails, I'm used to seeing mostly cloth for sails so the brick built variety is always welcome. Great job using the history behind the vessel and its expedition to inform and shape the build's details. Great work!
  6. I like how the elements are represented in the temple floor with those blue and red shield patterns, and the creatures are great, the black border around the edges helps accentuate things nicely. I like how you took the time to add detail and character to your terrain, even though the creatures are the focus, things like the sand transitioning to grass really help make your world feel alive.
  7. I love how you've taken an old theme and made it fresh. Space racing is such a novel, captivating concept that Lego lends itself well to. Now I'm imagining what the other teams' ships would look like. About the build itself, it's a great body shape and color, the long hull kinda reminds me of a drag racer, not sure if that's what you were going for but it really works, great stuff, and welcome to the forum, I'm excited to see more from you!
  8. Amazing use of contrasting lighting, the well lit area really draws you in!
  9. My son got the green monster truck of these for his birthday and they are actually really cool sets, the little driver is cool too, kinda hard to sit him down since he only has 2 anti studs but these are fun sets to build, even if it's not Lego you have a cool set!
  10. I hope they post the results sooner than later, I still expect gold to win but the more I look at them the more I want the teal one to win, the space suit looks so dope in that color, the others are good too but I feel teal is the standout one now that I've had more time to think about it.
  11. This blew me away, this is a master-class space optimization concept that allows you to make a very unique display. This is a brilliant idea, and your execution of it is fantastic. I'm on a bit of Minecraft kick and this'd be perfect for a cave system.
  12. I'll probably skip the crafting table but the other sets look great, especially Badlands Mineshaft. I never got a Minecraft set but my wife, son and I have loved the game for years and we got a few cheap sets recently. Last year's Swamp Adventure showed me how cool these sets can be, getting it for 6 bucks was a nice bonus. I'm interested in the pirate set but I really think the Badlands set is the way to go if you don't have much yet, and the rail system seems easy to expand on. I hope it doesn't sell out before I can save up the cash but these sets stay on the shelf in my area for quite a while so I'm not too worried. If anyone has the Badlands Mineshaft please tell me how it is!
  13. You nailed the personality and vibe of both the little jerk birds and the big one, my son loved this short when he was a bit younger and was thrilled by your build. Great stuff!
  14. That's a really beautiful answer, thank you for sharing that! I can understand that, lots of artists I enjoy I have to listen intently to fully appreciate them. I love Japanese artists, Takanaka is a great jazz fusion artist, Yellow Magic Orchestra is another great one.
  15. Oh thank you I'll post about this in that thread instead, I wasn't sure because of the '23.
  16. This thing is insanely intimidating in such a cool way. If I were a space pirate I'd steer clear of messing with this one. I appreciate the armament and facility list as well, that really helps your build feel alive. Great job!
  17. I don't mean to change the subject but I'm excited about the summer Minecraft sets. I'm looking at getting the little pirate ship and camel but I may wait and save up for the Badlands Mineshaft (21263), that's an amazing value you get so many mobs and a sweet mine for just 60, it's practically a steal compared to that Red Barn set from a while back. Sorry if I'm trying to talk about this in the wrong place but I didn't see a thread for the 2024 sets. Any of you folks like Minecraft and got the badlands set from this latest wave? I'm curious what real people think of this one.
  18. Awesome use of that big lattice piece for a metal vent flooring, that adds a lot of depth to the composition. The GE fits in there perfectly, that's ultra satisfying to see. This rocks!
  19. The only thing I like about that Williams set is the black space helmets. The frame with the heads feels half-baked, it all does especially for the price.
  20. I love this, very sleek and stylish, the color scheme kind of reminds me of the new city space sets but different, like it could be from a separate faction.
  21. Dang that pyramid shape jives with the Blacktron vibe so well, great job!
  22. The figs look great but I'd rather be able to pay my light bill this month, this set costs 2 months of electricity for me, no can do :(
  23. The greens feel the most fresh but I have a feeling gold will win. I'd be happy with any of these, the bright bluish green one is especially striking
  24. Great work as usual, that tank cart is perfect, definitely my favorite of these builds but they're all excellent!
  25. The clown code makes me think it's the tv set for Krusty's show, but $200+ seems high for something like that. It probably IS Krusty Burger, that's what my money's on.
