Yes, it's true they're still living beings with families and personalities. But there's a difference. The viewer relates more with human characters than aliens. Aliens are fake and so most people aren't overly invested in them as characters unless they've been highly developed (Which many of the Star Wars aliens end up being undeveloped). It's a little unfair to those characters, but we naturally care more about human beings over fake creatures. The other factor is that gun violence against children is a big issue right now. So when people see guns pointed at children, whether a work of fiction or not, it conjures up memories of real situations where children have been gunned down. Child deaths are more tragic as they lived life less, they never had a chance to live. So Lego avoids scenarios like that. Lego has portrayed some violent scenes over the years, but there are limits. Gun violence against children would undoubtedly land them in hot water.

Okay, I can understand not wanting to open up another account somewhere just to upload pictures, it's a hassle and it's just one more account that you have to manage, so I'll give a brief description on how to post your Cuusoo images onto EB. On your Cuusoo page right click your image and select copy image URL. Above where you type in your post here there's several buttons. If you hit the square with the tree on it a box will come up and ask for a URL. Paste the the URL from your picture and your done. It's as easy as that. My suggestion is to go back and edit your first post, and add in the picture. Having a picture on the first post is pretty important. There's nothing wrong with linking to a site with your work on it, but it adds another step to the process for people and that might cause a bad first impression. Going out of your way to add the picture and a description right here shows effort and people are more likely to give your work a look. First impressions are everything for mocs, if the first impression fails then people won't take the time to look deeply at your work. It only takes a minute to copy and paste from your Cuusoo page and it will save you a lot of grief next time.

I think you're taking it a bit personally, it's not phrased tactfully but he's just saying the platform isn't a strong point. Constructive criticism can be a tool to making the best moc possible. There's more to a winning Cuusoo project than just presentation, the design is just as important. Getting 10,000 Cuusoo votes is a hard task, and having one weak element even if unimportant could impede your goal. That's part of why there's a comment section on Cuusoo so that people can offer constructive criticism as needed. You don't have to accept all advice, but sometimes it helps to take a step back and consider if you can make improvements. As for the pictures there's multiple ways to upload things. Brickshelf is one that's pretty commonly used. Other image upload sites beyond Flickr exist and I'm sure a Google search will direct you to a good number of websites that can do that. Might I ask why you cannot use Flickr? Perhaps someone here can help you find a way to upload the pictures.

Nahdar Vebb neither looks like a child or a human, and I'm betting that makes the difference. Parents woudn't be able to tell by looking at that set that he's a young character. I mean I can't even find his age online and just looking at pictures I wouldn't have guessed. There's definitely a difference between an alien with no obvious indication of age other than being a padawan and Zett Jukassa who's 10 and looks 10. I mean I'll agree Lego has let some questionable things slide before, but this is a little different. Also it comes from a live action movie which is more intense than a cartoon.

There's sort of a big difference. Darth Vader didn't die and he was a consenting adult and a villain and without that operation he would have died. This on the other hand is darker, a kid is overpowered by several adults while trying to run away and is murdered in cold blood while Bail Organa watches. Child murder is on a different level than a burn victim getting an operation. If you want to portray order 66 I get that, it's a very powerful part of the Star Wars story, but this is a little too pointed. If it were just a Jedi temple with an equal amount of Jedi to clones (Like a defend the temple set) than I probably wouldn't think twice about it, but this is too specific of a scene for me to forget that a kid's about to be brutally murdered. And based on the Lego standards I have a hard time imaging that Lego would okay this set without heavy modifications. I will say that I really like the airspeeder though and do think that it is deserving of a set, but perhaps Bail Organa picking up Yoda after his duel with the emperor would be a much more kid friendly option.

I'm really hoping they pull a DKR on us and put out a set beginning of next year. I really want that version of Spider-man and Gwen Stacy as minifigures. We need a new and better version of Spider-man. And we've had so many Mary-Jane minifigures over the years, Gwen Stacy would be a welcome addition and a breath of fresh air in the line-up of red headed girlfriends in this theme. Also we just lack civilian characters in this theme. We have so few people for Spider-man to save.

Indeed, Disney is pushing USM. So long as it's on the air they're going to milk it for all they can get. The fact of the matter is cartoons don't have a great shelf life. USM is getting to its third season and has already done 52 episodes. Superhero cartoons don't last forever, most seem to make it to about 60 and then end. The truly popular ones get spin-offs or rebranded. More than likely Disney will do that within a couple of years. So undoubtedly they'll push as many products out while it's still hot. The fact that we got a non USM based set this year is sort of writing on the wall to me. Adding a non USM set into the mix tends to suggest to me they want an easy transition for when the show does end. It makes sense they aren't doing ASM2 sets right now, they have the rights to it and all future Spider-man movies. They can make sets off of that any time and it will remain in the public consciousness longer. But USM has a smaller lifespan for being profitable. On the bright-side though once that's done the door will be wide open for comic and movie sets.

I believe they're just singling out which Green Lantern is to be used. Remember there are a ton of Green Lanterns. And telling us which one it is saves the Lego community from loudly asking which Green Lantern we'll get.

Any ASM2 character is welcome. A better Spider-man is so unbelievably welcome I would put in multiple orders just to get a few. Likewise Gwen Stacy would be an awesome exclusive, and I'd almost prefer her more. I say that mainly because she's less likely to get an actual release any time soon since all the Spider-man sets are USM and she's not in that. I'm still holding out hope Lego will do a ASM2 set in the future. Maybe they'll do what they did for DKR and release a set next year (Wishful thinking I know, but I prefer to dream).

On top of not really looking like his hair it's such an overused hairpiece at that. Storm, Power man and Falcon really kind of got the short end of the straw this year. All of them desperately lack proper hairpieces. Lego finally diversify's the character's but can't bother with accuracy. I just hope future variations of these characters correct that.

Lego isn't punishing anybody. It would be ridiculous to release multiple waves of the CMF at the same time. Even if it weren't the Lego movie they still wouldn't do that. They are spacing them out evenly just like they have with every other line. And the Simpsons CMF is being released to coincide with the Lego Simpsons episode airing in May, so the Lego movie has nothing to do with it. And honestly we'll get reveals soon enough. For years Lego has given top priority to their licensed sets to the point that even their own movie is packed full of superheroes and even appearances by the Ninja Turtles. Lego goes above and beyond for their licensed stuff, so this criticism is really unfair when you factor in the sheer amount of effort Lego puts into selling them. I'm a little tired of people whining about everything not being revealed or out right now. What do people expect, that every Lego product should appear on the shelves by January 1st? It's a dumb move to oversaturate the market. Part of what keeps Lego selling well is by spacing out their releases. They know what they're doing. Just be patient.

Seeing these sets in store I still haven't bothered to buy any. I guess part of what I like about Disney best is it's storytelling and I guess even though the set builds are great I'm really disappointed by the character selection and lack of story going on. Lacking a villain is definitely a bummer for me and I find that these sets don't really bother to represent the more compelling elements of each of these Princesses stories. I think I'll just wait a while on this theme and see where it goes. Though if I see a sale I might just have to buy that Tangled set.

If only DC had continued the DC Animated Universe beyond Justice League Unlimited, we'd probably still have good DC shows on the air then we'd have sets based off of that. Instead they've opted to create increasingly worse shows (Hated BYB, YJ bored me, couldn't even sit through GL). It's sad the only DC cartoon I actually like right now is Teen Titans Go and that's just a watered down version of a better show. Please Bruce Timm, bring back the DCAU so we can get sets based off of good DC shows. From my perspective Marvel controls theaters and DC controls televisions (Though the cartoon division of DC has slipped in the last few years). Unfortunately we're stuck between a rock and a hard place with sets for the DC line. The movies are too infrequent, the live action shows too dark, and the cartoons get cancelled too quickly. There's so little of current media to tie into that I can't blame Lego for doing generic sets utilizing only the most popular characters. Marvel has several movies and shows on at all times, Lego just has more to work with for them. They get TV sets, movie sets and comic sets yearly because of how much Marvel saturates the market. With DC we get comic sets with occasional movie sets and TV sets rarely. I'm sure once WB kicks the movies and TV into high gear they'll finally diversify the sets. Until then though we can enjoy line of Batman after Batman.

I believe it was stated that Luke and Obi-Wan have new printing. Even in the prelim Luke has additional leg printing depicting his boots. Han is technically new as well since his face is a new print. Granted the same minifigure is used in the microfighter, but this will be the first time it's used in a regular set. If I had to guess I'd say the Stormtrooper is probably the same old one. So nearly everyone should be updated in this set based on all the current information we have.

I'm interested in seeing this X-jet. Personally I would prefer something wider that can actually fit several minifigures. Overall I'm happy about this set. A different villain and a better Hairpiece for Storm are my only real issues. And I can live with either of those things.

Luke and Obi-Wan encounter the Stormtrooper while in the landspeeder. Plus we have the ability to recreate the scene of Obi-Wan and Luke meeting Han. Then Han shooting Greedo and finally you can recreate the band playing. It's not the most exciting scene recreations, but it is accurate to say you can recreate several scenes (Even if only one of them is really worth the time).

That disappoints me considerably. However summer is still a bit off, perhaps there's a small chance it will change (Though I'm not exactly holding my breath). Plus I guess we could always see another variant of Storm in the future with a better hairpiece, after all it took three years just to get Wolverine's cowl. I think what bothers me more about it is the use of that same old hairpiece, it's so overused in this line, it's like all these women go to the same salon...

More than likely Lego knows a bit more than us. It's likely WB sent them some concept art and a few vague scene descriptions so that they could at least plan what the line will look like. Lego prepares sets pretty far in advance, if they had nothing then they'd have no line to move, so obviously they had some plans and concepts in place.

That armor piece is attached to the head, it's present on pictures of the head by itself. I assume it's there to offer more stability to the overly large head.

So what? Half the minifigures anymore seem to break just standing on a shelf (At least three minifigures a year arrive messed up for me, printing, cracks and otherwise). And Ponda was used in the expanded universe too, so his purpose eventually grew beyond the arm cutting. The fact of the matter is you can't stop kids from pulling apart minifigures, so it's unfair to say it shouldn't exist just because kids might be more prone to break it.
-
It's not as if he's the only character lose an arm. Luke and Anakin both lose arms in the second movie of their respective trilogies. Plus replacement parts can be bought from Lego, so it's really not a big deal.

Well first off despite growing up with the yellow and blue costume I've never really been a fan of it. The brown and yellow version has for quite some time been my favorite. Second Lego printed the cowl on the back of the torso, which I consider to be very taunting of them (Didn't appreciate that at all). Then on top of that they give us Wolverine's face fully revealed, which bothers me for very basic reasons. For instance what is the point of the costume if you're not going to bother wearing the mask that's literally attached to it? Or why take the mask off in the middle of a battle? and on top of that why print the mask on the torso if the character can't use it? And even with the new cowl I can't use it on the old minifigure because of that goofy printing on the back, so it would always look wrong from the back. At the end of the day it just equals an unusable minifigure to me. So I will buy the new set happily and forget how disappointed I was at the last set.

Well I'm thoroughly pleased so far. Really after this set I only really want Mystique, Jean, Xavier and Rogue. Past that I don't care too terribly much (Though with Jean I'll probably just buy a high quality custom) and Xavier is easy enough to make with existing pieces. As much as I like X-men I only really need a few characters for my collection. I can understand the disappointment of only two new characters though (Though I do pretend that terrible first variation of Wolverine doesn't exist, so it's three to me). But if this set sells well I'm sure Lego will feel compelled to do another.

To be honest I'm not in love with any of these. They all manage to be good, but none of them truly great for one reason or another. Currently I own 6864 and 76012. 6864 is my favorite so far, it's perhaps the only I have no big qualms with other than I wished the wings were different and seated another minifigure. 76012 I feel looks better than it truly is, it's sort of cumbersome and doesn't feel as solid as I'd like. Both versions of the Tumbler have failed to impress me (Though the older one is better purely because of scale).
