I'm really hoping for Jurassic Park sets after seeing that. They did focus on it more than the other three movies so it at least feels like Lego recognizes the want for it. The design for the land cruiser looked like an actual design, especially in comparison to the jeep which uses crowbars as part of the windshield but not in a way they'd actually attach. Most of the minifigures looked as if they could be actually done in physical form too. Dr. Sattlers printed shoes seem to be the exception (Unless Lego has figured out how to do that). All the new dinosaurs seem to be realistically jointed too. And then there's the specifically differently colored T-rex. Really this probably doesn't point to anything though, the games have been getting better and better at making realistic looking Lego pieces. Who knows though, maybe there is something in the works. Interestingly Dr. Grants hair looks to be Emmet's.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
strangely replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Her eyebrows are black, not brown. Plus the same head is used for Supergirl in the last two Lego Batman video games. It seems that this head was intended for Supergirl first. -
I don't think it's anything creative thinking can't overcome. The gang has had several costume changes over the years, so there's always room for some well designed variations. Also there's a handful of other characters they could use outside the principal five members of the gang. Scrappy Doo, Scooby Dum and Vincent Van Ghoul could be used. Vehicles are probably an issue, I don't think there's many more things they could color green and blue at this point. I guess they could give the villains vehicles instead; Space kook could have a spaceship, Red beard a pirate ship, Miner Forty-niner could have a mine cart (A mine cart set would be really fantastic and now that I've realized that I'm really hoping they do that).

I don't think they'll wait around on this. The fact that there's going to be Lego TV specials based around the theme in the upcoming years I'd say Lego has at least some future planned for it. Plus with a new show and a live action movie on the way in the not too distant future I'm thinking Warner Brothers is using this theme to drum up interest in the franchise again. I'm thinking we'll see at least one more wave of sets and possibly a line based around the movie when that appears. Honestly I can't imagine this theme selling poorly. Scooby Doo has a big fanbase.

I'll just say that Gorilla Grodd is an enemy of Beast Boy and leave it at that. A Trigon bigfig would be awesome!

Makes me wonder why they gave Anakin a different hairpiece. They did that on the prelim of the Naboo Starfighter too and it turned out to be the same hairpiece as they always use. I know it's a long shot but I'm kind of hoping Watto is just a stand in for another character.

I'm glad to be getting another chance at some of these Phantom Menace vehicles as I've missed out in the past but I will agree that the minifigure selection is odd and lazy. I mean getting Tarpals and some variations on Naboo personnel is great, but the the main characters are all pretty lazy. I do think the AAT and Flash Speeder should have come in the same set, perhaps with an updated Kaadu. Now that would have been great. And Padme should have come in place of Obi-Wan in the Naboo Starfighter (Especially since he was just updated last year). The Sith Infiltrator should have been the Royal Naboo Starship. The minifigure lineup could have even been the same except with the addition of a queen variation and possibly a handmaiden. There's really no reason they should be avoiding making this ship anymore. I'm hoping that for the Qui-Gon in the Sith Infiltrator they use the new leg molding process to give him dual colored legs. I don't like the current printing for his legs much (Tan on brown doesn't look great plus there's no side leg printing) and I feel like that would be an improvement worth getting. Really that new molding process should really make all the Jedi tunics look a lot better on the legs.

I could be mistaken. It's not like a hero can't have more than one arch enemy though. I agree, Mallah was used in the show quite a bit so that's generally the one I think of too. My original point was that some of the villains released this year for the theme do have a connection to the Titans (Though Grodd's connection is pretty thin it would seem, I did some additional research on him and it seems far like they fought far less than I'd originally thought). I'm kind of reconsidering if I really want to count Grodd as one of their foes now. At least we got Deathstroke. I am hoping we get a few more Titans characters at some point, I'd like to round out the team and have a few decent villains.
-
I think every so often the cause of their deaths is changed by DC. Though I think Grodd's involvement in their deaths has been since written out. Either way I tend to associate Grodd with the Titans as he did also interact with some of their more regular foes too.
-
Grodd killed Beast Boy's parents. So he is Beast Boy's arch enemy.

I don't think it's all that surprising. Teen Titans Go has been doing pretty well, and it seems to have decent ratings since it got a second season. Now with a live action series on the way it seems like the Titans are going to be around for a while, so it's no wonder that Lego would want to capitalize on that. I'd say they anticipate the show doing well enough to throw in a few characters into a set. Plus with a good majority of the year's sets being devoted to Batman or Justice League characters they needed to diversify. Now we have not only a decent Justice League lineup but also a good Teen Titans lineup. We even got a few villains who are well known for fighting the Titans (Gorilla Grodd and Deathstroke).

Maybe a trans bigfig would work for that monster. I do wonder if this theme goes on if it will end up getting any bigfigs, there are certainly big monsters in the show.

Yeah, I would have thought they'd use that piece too. Then again I can understand the coloring choice they made, her hair in the last two shows are a dark red but with some pink mixed in (It's more pink in TTG, but it also has a pinkish tone in the first show). Ultimately both hairpieces aren't really perfect, ones too dark the others too light.
-
I don't think there's a high demand either, but if this theme goes on for more than one wave it'll get repetitive getting the same characters again and again. Ultimately it might be in their best interest to use some of the gimmick characters to fill in the crew when the minifigure lineup starts to get repetitive. Plus he is part of the nostalgia of Scooby Doo, the 80's era of the show can be summed up in one minifigure and that would be him. Of course to me this only applies to the protagonists of the series. For villains I pretty much only want monsters from the original series and maybe a selected handful from the later shows.

I'm hoping they do that down the line. I actually think they missed out on a chance to do that this wave. The lighthouse could have easily used the 80's variations of the characters. For Daphne all they'd need is a new torso and an unprinted version of her hair. Shaggy would be even easier as he'd need a color swapped torso and a pair of blue legs. Throw in Scrappy and we'd have a great set of variations. I would like to have Scrappy, molded like the chihuahua from the CMF. On a side note Vincent Van Ghoul would be a pretty awesome minifigure to get at some point. Even though I dislike the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo I would still love the character to appear in a set if for no other reason than it would be great to have a Vincent Price minifigure.

Truthfully I'm not a fan of the source material she's based off of and so the resulting minifigure just doesn't look great to me. Even without the hat I think her face looks wrong, the eyes are particularly odd looking. Her torso is a little bland and her belt looks weird. I just don't care for the overall execution. It's not a terrible minifigure by any means, but it certainly is odd looking. I would have preferred one of her Arkham game appearances over this.

I agree Harley looks bad without the hair. However I'm not overly bummed out about it. I'm thinking that Lego didn't include the hair so that they could use it for the movie version in the not too distant future. And in the meantime they probably want to use up their existing stock on the jester hat since Harley isn't actively portrayed wearing it anymore. Harley keeps on appearing in this theme so I'm sure the next variation will get it right. The cheerleader hair is also in the wrong color. If they went blonde it wouldn't be the right shade and if they did the red and black combo it would make it an expensive piece. Based on the many reused minifigures in the set I'm thinking they may have had some budget constraints. I'm sure the new boots, leg printing and detailed torso printing as well as the newly colored parts included probably made the budget a bit tight. I mean including a green snake for Beast Boy's transformation is pretty lazy, they literally could have recolored any other animal and it would have been better than that. They seemingly hit the budget for the price point, so I guess they just couldn't give us everything.

First off 2016 discussion doesn't belong here. Second this thread is devoted to DC sets in 2015, so people can discuss whatever wave of the year they please, just because the wave has been released does not mean it can't be discussed. I suggest that if you want to discuss the summer sets than do so. I'm hoping he's included with a movie. I wouldn't mind a few updated books, but I'd rather they hold off on updating those for another year or two.

I'd like to see it as well. I never got around to buying the last Sith Infiltrator, instead I just bought the minifigures, so I might actually have to buy this. Qui-Gon and Anakin and the astromech (R2-D2 I'm betting) will undoubtedly be the same as their latest incarnations. I could see Darth Maul and Watto being new though. Watto could be improved over the last version, instead of a rubber piece covering his entire torso I'd just prefer a head sculpt and nothing more. Or they could just cut to the chase and give us an entirely molded piece like Salacious Crumb (Which with as small as Watto is would work just fine in my opinion). I have to say it's a little disappointing we didn't get Padme in this set either. She could have used an updated face and leg printing. Hopefully for the new trilogy of movies the main female character won't be relegated to bi-yearly appearances.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
strangely replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I managed to get the last Milano in stock at my Walmart and went home to find it was missing all the minifigures. Seeing as my Walmart didn't have any others in stock I decided to contact Lego customer service for replacements. Even better I finally realized bags five and six were missing so I ultimately had to email customer service a second time... So currently I have half of the Milano, which is oddly fitting as I only paid half price, so sadly I got what I paid for. Now I just have to wait for Lego to email me back. If they can't help me Walmart will be hearing from me. I can't figure out if the set was tampered with before or after my Walmart got it as the tape on both ends was firmly in place, but the bags inside were definitely sliced open. -

Not all Walmart's have it in stock in store, so it's a fair question. That being said it's still full price online. I'll have to check my own Walmart soon. I'm not getting my hopes up though, I have several Walmart's around me and they almost always are running different deals store to store. -
I knew to expect complaints about Lego downsizing a vehicle, but I did not expect to see complaints about them making something bigger. I'm alright with the size. The federation has two big vehicles for their side of the battle, it's only fair that Naboo gets a decent sized vehicle to fight back with.

The Zombie being used in the set was introduced in the TV special Night Of The Living Doo. It was a parody episode essentially (The Zombie unmasked was Jabberjaw). Since then they've used this particular design in a lot of the merchandising. Truthfully I prefer this coloring over the original. His red plume is present as far as I can tell. Really Lego would have to sculpt a new helmet for him if they wanted complete accuracy. The other Knight helmets they have aren't quite right either, the grille on all the others aren't accurate to the show either. Really I'm a little disappointed they just didn't give us a new helmet, but I can live with it. I tend to agree. Dark blue on regular blue is visually kind of bland, so I actually prefer the purple cape. You're welcome. It is interesting they're reusing Elias Kingston, it makes me wonder if this show is supposed to be more of a modern remake of the original series or a reboot of some kind.

The Zombie is exactly the same. Other than the shoes I'm not seeing how they could be anymore similar. And the only difference with the headless horseman seems to be the purple cape which should be dark blue instead. The Black Knight is dark grey in the original episode, just as the minifigure is. Even the glowing eyes are the same between the two. The only difference I'm seeing is the grille on the helmet. Lego does produce a more accurate helmet, however it's grille is also wrong, and Lego does not produce it in dark pearl grey. It is entirely possible that Lego used this helmet because it was already being produced in the correct color. And they chose to call it the Black Knight, so even if it's not completely accurate to the cartoon I'm thinking they still intended it to be that monster. We'll know for sure when we finally get a shot of the Black Knight unmasked. He should have printing on the other side of his head. Also it appears he has printing underneath the armor, at least that's what one of the closeups of him from toy fair seemed to indicate. There's been no full trailer yet. The only footage shown so far has been coming from promo's for the Boomerang network.
