I think'll they'll be normal. Really their heads aren't that different from the old cartoon. The head shapes are the same, just less defined, otherwise the notable differences are the new style eyes and the enlarged facial features. Really there's no reason to mess with molded heads. Plus that set list seems almost like it could be based on the original series alone. Each set sounds like it could use a classic monster. Mummy Museum Mystery (75900) The mummy of Ankha Mystery Plane Adventures (75901) Could be the Black Knight, as he was chased by a plane in the first episode (It's how he was caught as I recall). Or the Space Kook as that mystery took place at an abandoned airfield. The Mystery Machine (75902) The Creeper and Mr. Hyde are both known for sneaking into the mystery machine to scare the gang. Haunted Lighthouse (75903) Could be red beard or captain cutler as both mysteries took place in water (Though I don't recall specifically if there was a lighthouse involved). Mystery Mansion (75904) Frankenstein, Wolfman, the headless specter a number of others. So I'd say odds are good it'll be based around the original series.

They've made new molds for most of the other helmets and hats in the movies, I see no reason why they wouldn't this time for the Naboo pilots. The current helmet isn't even the correct color. If they're willing to make Panaka's hat then they should be able to make a helmet. Plus if they expect us to buy yet another Naboo starfighter they definitely need to add in a few exclusive parts to make this worth our while.
-
If we're getting another Naboo Starfighter they better at least give us a proper molded helmet this time. The pilot one they always give us really doesn't look right.
-
I'm hoping he shows up in the flash speeder set. I'm really hoping for a new Padme variation in one of these sets too. A few side characters from Naboo would be nice as well, maybe Sabe or Sio Bibble.

I guess I misinterpreted your post then. I was talking more about the Jurassic franchise as a whole. Also Indiana Jones did have movies broken up across waves. Sets from the original trilogy were spread out across two years through multiple waves.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
strangely replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Every set? It's rare we actually get a civilian of any kind at all, named or not. So far we have J. Jonah Jameson, Pepper Potts, Mary Jane and a driver. Three named characters and one unnamed character. The DC side of the franchise isn't much better, in fact it's worse because we have almost as many unnamed civilians as we do named. For me having named characters is about building their world and it's hard to do that when we get so few side characters. -

As much as I'd like an updated Aunt May (As the SM2 one isn't all that great) I'd prefer someone else. I would love to get Gwen Stacy. If not her than Betty Brant or Harry Osborn or Flash Thompson. As much as I enjoyed the driver minifigure I really hope they don't waste space in sets with unnamed characters again. There are plenty of supporting characters in these comics/movies/TV shows to begin with, so giving us generic guards and drivers is actually kind of ridiculous. -
There's not exactly a standard. I think it varies based on what the movie franchise is in itself. So perhaps comparing this movie to the other movies might establish a better baseline of what to expect. The movie licenses that usually end up being one wave are generally based on franchises that never had more than one movie (POTC being the obvious exception, though I do think it technically had two waves, a spring and a fall), so that right there makes it hard to compare to a movie franchise that's four movies in. I tend to compare it to Indiana Jones as it had four movies in it's franchise at the time it became a theme, so a similar movie franchise might dictate a similar theme. I guess there's not really a perfect comparison (As it's rare Lego gets a movie theme that's multiple movies into it's franchise), but comparing it to a one off theme or an Evergreen theme isn't workable either, at least not right now. The Jurassic franchise is sort of odd as it's intended to be two different movie franchises technically (Park and World). So there really might not be a good baseline just because the studio has carved up the franchise. I could see this theme evolving into a Harry Potter sized theme if more movies are made.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
strangely replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
They won't edit the title. If the theme is confirmed to continue in 2015 a new topic will be created for it. -
It's possible it could have multiple waves. Jurassic World is only the most recent film in a larger series of films, so this could end up being like the Indiana Jones theme. I'm sure popularity and sales will ultimately be the deciding factor though, if it's worth pursuing than Lego will find a way. Also if more Ideas projects based on JP keep getting the votes it might inspire Lego to expand the theme. Really with Lego you never quite know what they'll do next. Also I don't really think you can compare this to the Avengers all that much. The Avengers is only a sub-theme in the Marvel theme which is already a sub-theme of the superheroes theme. It really doesn't function like most licenses, so it probably shouldn't be taken as the model for a standard licensed theme. There's movies/TV shows/comics for those sets to be based on, sometimes even multiples movies and shows at the same time. They couldn't possibly do multiple waves off of one movie simply because there's too much of a demand for a diverse line-up.

We don't know if Lego designed it or the game designers. If it appears the same in a physical set than that means Lego designed it I believe. Essentially if an official Lego design exists they'll use it in the game and if one doesn't exist they'll make up their own.
-
It's the same design. The only difference is the boot printing.
-
That design is probably the one we'll get. It looks like an official Lego design, printing style and all. I don't think the current style of boot printing would work for those characters very well. Especially Superman, it would look horrible if the back of his legs were red.

Bartman is a must buy for me, that's actually I variation I'd like. Truthfully though I'd want him so I could get a shorter and darker purple cape for Batgirl.

I'm glad Lego is branching out and all, but giving us one member of the legion of super-heroes is kind of toying. I would rather they add on to the existing teams they've already started releasing. They could have given us a Teen Titan (Even if rumors are true about the titans set we still need Raven) or a Justice League member.
-
It's certainly possible there could be another movie coming too. After all the last Lego Batman movie appeared a while after the second game was released. There's every possibility that might happen again with the third game.
-
That's what I though initially, but I feel like there's enough DC books already. It's too soon for any of them to be updated and expanded, that's why I guessed there's another movie we don't know about yet. A lot of the video releases they do have sort of just appeared out of nowhere in the past, I wouldn't be surprised if another one popped up later in the year after the Bizarro one is released. I kind of doubt it's for the Flash show either. I just don't see that happening.

I have to agree with you. The builds in this set aren't great. The Bat-mech is just terrible, it keeps coming apart, the front part has fallen off several times. The invisible jet is so small it's pointless and the trans effect is ruined by the grey and white pieces. But my bigger problem with the jet was just building it. I've always heard there's a lot of friction when trans parts are used with each other but with this I actually managed cutting my finger when trying to snap two pieces together (And as bad as the grey and white looked red definitely doesn't look good on the jet ). Thankfully it has a great minifigure selection, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. That's interesting, maybe a new book or movie? I know we're getting the Darkseid movie, maybe we're also getting a movie based on LB3, like we did with the previous game.

I actually think the new capes are okay. They have just as many problems as the old cape but different. So for me it was a lateral move. The most visible problem is that around the neck the cape appears too thick. Honestly Lego could solve that problem by redesigning the cape so there aren't two neck holes on the cape. Otherwise though it's problems are comparable to the old cape. Old is too rigid, new is too soft. Both have weird textures. Old one wrinkles, new one stretches. Really it's all a matter of what you'd rather have to put up with. I'd say it's pretty likely they'll try the fabric in the Avengers sets, after all Superman and Thor have the same cape. -

Black Widow looks awesome. Love everything about her in this variation. The new Iron Man also looks really good, best leg printing yet. Sadly Thor didn't get any leg printing. And his hair still looks wrong. And Cap still doesn't have a removable mask, but I can't say I'm surprised. -
They were joking, hyperbole and whatnot. I think they were just saying that everyone takes these rumors a little too seriously.

So far I've only found the new sets at Target. But after searching three in my area the Darksied and Brainiacs sets are still missing. Everything was messed up on the shelves though, with the various themes all mixed up, so I'm thinking they were still in the middle of restocking. Oddly when I had checked the DPCI before none of the set had been in stock, so it seems they haven't been scanning the new sets into the system since many of the new sets were there. My Targets also report the Darkseid set as $59.99, according to the price scanners. Unfortunately none of them have it out on the shelves. On my last trip I actually talked to an employee and he said that they wouldn't be putting out the new sets for weeks because of the street date. I heavily rolled my eyes as two other Targets within half an hours drive already had all of the new sets out except for two. Also that Target had one of the Princess sets out early, so it seems none of the employees actually know when the street date is and are just stocking randomly (And the Lego aisle was almost completely empty, so I don't believe that "weeks" approximation anyway).

There would be a difference, just color probably. Truthfully though I don't like the game version all that much. I think it could be improved upon. -
Looks like the helmet is in two parts (Like in the movie). Which really that would be the main reason to do a new version for that feature alone.

A mech Rhino? That sounds like ASM2 to me, but I honestly can't see why they'd do sets on that so long after the fact, unless they're just mixing and matching various source material. Really I wouldn't mind minifigures loosely based off that movie's interpretation, the Electro polybag looked pretty awesome (Still waiting for that to become available). Really I'd prefer an ASM2 Rhino over a big-fig like the game had. Also I'd prefer the movie Gwen Stacy over the comic version. So i'd be fine with them mixing and matching. I'm just hoping these don't turn out to be USM sets...
