  1. We'll probably get some version of that. They'll probably make it a bit more like the movie version though just to loosely tie in. I definitely prefer this version over the Jokerland one.
  2. That's very possible. Less printing would probably be cheaper and easier for them to produce. I wouldn't be surprised if they did this. I wouldn't be bothered by it either. I'd almost prefer that we get this piece in a yellow blonde with only printing on the bands, at least it would be more usable on other figures. And really if I was dying (No pun intended really) for red and black streaks a marker could accomplish that easily.
  3. That all depends on the source material. Sometimes her hair is red and black, other times red and blue, sometimes completely dyed, sometimes just streaks. And sometimes her hair is just blonde. Really it could go any way at this point. I'm guessing we'll get red and blue to loosely tie in with the movie and I'm betting we'll get only the tips of the hair in that color (If only because that would be slightly cheaper for them to do). I'm hoping a little bit that this is an Arkham Knight inspired version. I don't really like her New 52 look, nor her movie look.
  4. He's probably given specific instructions for what he's supposed to draw and if it's supposed to tie in to an actual product they'll probably give him some sort of reference for it, I'd think at least concept art of a minifigure. And that new cowl has existed for a while now and Lego plans those type of pieces a while in advance. So unless this was drawn years ago there's not many reasons to use the old cowl. Plus the Superman hairpiece seems to match what we've seen of it so far, so he must have been given some reference for it.
  5. I'm betting they're giving Superman plain legs in the cheapest sets and saving the dual molded ones for a bigger set (Like Batman's boots in this August wave). Looking at the picture a bit more closely Batman's leg printing is pretty basic. Instead of using dual molding for his boots they've printed a secondary color to give the appearance of boots (The coloring seems to match the hip piece, in fact it reminds me of the printing for Electro's legs in the ASM2 polybag). Even worse the printing for the boots doesn't continue onto the outer sides. So this is pretty cheap printing (Scarlett Witch cheap in fact). Based on that I'd say these minifigures appear in a cheaper set, hence the basic printing on Batman and Superman's lack of boots. I'm sure Superman will have boots in the biggest set of the wave. The dual molded legs don't seem to appear in any set $30 or under.
  6. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=124743 It wasn't record breaking, so naturally in somebodies eyes it's a failure. Honestly it just seems like the box office numbers were just being used to leverage someone out of a job. That being said I don't think this will effect Lego sets at all.
  7. I can't see them not including Spider-man. I'm betting no matter how little time Lego had they managed to put in a Spidey minifigure in there somewhere.
  8. Most of the minifigures we've got have appeared in either a movie or cartoon. The less popular characters we've gotten have at least had media exposure. This is ultimately a kids product, Daredevil hasn't appeared in any kid friendly media (Like a movie or cartoon) so his odds of being included aren't great right now. I think the difference basically comes down to the license. I get the impression they have more freedom with DC sets, they can give us a more diverse selection and can genuinely surprise us. Marvel on the other hand seems very calculated (But Disney always is). Hyperion seems to be here only because he appears in one of the many cartoons Disney has put out. Captain Marvel is seemingly here just to get the merchandising ball rolling for her character as she'll be getting a movie before much longer. I love Marvel, but at the end of the day there's fewer surprises on this side of the theme. Everything seems to be here to serve the agenda Disney has planned out for the next decade. I mean that's not really a bad thing, it just means the possibility of getting some fan favorites is pretty hindered.
  9. But on the plus side some of these characters are getting an update, slight or not that's good. And not having to pay $30 for that Juniors set just for Gobby makes this all the more worthwhile. As for Daredevil I'm not that surprised. It's true that he's becoming really popular, but I think the important question to ask is whether his popularity has improved with kids. I'm not sure that's really changed enough to warrant him appearing, especially since there's currently no kids media he's appearing in. If he showed up in a cartoon than I'd almost guarantee inclusion in a set, but I don't think he's shown up anywhere outside the Netflix show so far. And with the violence of that show I'm thinking Lego would be a bit wary making anything based directly on that show. I think we're just going to have to play the waiting game for this one.
  10. Hopefully we get some better legs (Because the Juniors one has terrible leg printing). Dual molding would be great, but for a small set I don't know how likely that is. Either way a new torso and a satchel piece is pretty awesome. Hopefully the vehicle will have some special parts that I can use to make a glider. I love the game version of the glider, so if they used some specially chromed or printed version of those parts I would be super happy. Any more details on the glider car? Any idea if the purple and green color for Gobby are the same shade as the Juniors one?
  11. Any info on the green goblin? Is he the same colors as the juniors? Any chance at him having boots?
  12. I could see them doing packs pairing one gang member with one monster.
  13. These toy companies want to make money. So they have to find ways to keep the consumer buying their products even though they're all selling the same character and sometimes even the same parts. Spider-man doesn't have many vehicles nor gadgets and he doesn't have some massive lair like Tony Stark or Batman. So naturally companies have to make up things to keep selling Spider-man. Kids love vehicles. So they take whatever vehicle they can think up, add a web play function and slap a recognizable color scheme on it and they have another product they can charge too much for and kids will jump up and down because it's Spider-man and he has a cool car, plane, unicycle, whatever. It's worked so far too. Lego has managed to get me to buy all of these sets and I have an entire of legion of the exact same Spider-men...
  14. And yet they haven't done the Spider-Buggy which actually had an in story reason as to how he obtained a vehicle. It's kind of ridiculous that they've made up so many spider vehicles, but not actually produced the one he actually had.
  15. I'm heavily betting we'll get a Joker and Harley Quinn based off the movie, or at least very similar to the movie. When is the question. 76012 featured the Batman and Batmobile design from the show Beware the Batman even though it wasn't branded as a set for it. 7888 gave us a Nolan Batman and Tumbler but a comic Joker. So there's a chance the design might show up in a comic set. Plus we also don't know where else in the movie universe the Joker might show up. Who knows, he could have a cameo in Batman v. Superman and might just happen to show up in one of those sets. Ultimately I can't see them never making a movie Joker, they'll find someplace for him I'm sure.
  16. Well up until that review that was posted we really didn't know what the interior of that ship looked like. So they may just not want those types of details revealed yet. Or they might be trying to stop people from finding out where they can buy these early. They know things are going to leak, they're just trying to slow the leaks. It's Disney's product, if they want retailers to wait for a big unveiling then it's their right to do so.
  17. Having 7965 I'm not sure I'm willing to pay out for an update at this point. I might have to wait for clearance to justify it.
  18. Not likely. Instead we'd be discussing the riddle that was posted and then having a panic attack when we realized it was hinting at armless Avengers. But seriously at this point I'm just hoping for pictures. I'm a little tired of the riddles and the posting of one fact at a time and only when something specific is asked.
  19. That's so awesome! I want to love the side leg printing, but the original trilogy set of legs we just got doesn't have that, so I guess we'll probably be waiting a while for that update. Other than the red arm this would work as an Ep3 variation. Makes me wonder what shade of gold this will actually turn out to be. Even better it makes me wonder if I'll finally obtain one that has correctly centered eye printing.
  20. @Nekchir You might be better off just posting a list of details that you remember so you don't have to keep responding to all these questions.
  21. That's what I'm expecting. It at least says to me that those are the eight characters people care about from that series.
  22. $120 would still make a pretty decent Batcave, probably a pretty good selection of minifigures too. Hopefully with the catalog out we can get some confirmation on which characters are in these sets.
  23. I don't think so. The story itself is in the public domain now in several territories including America. Disney holds copyright to it's specific version of the characters and story, so I assume Disney is the only entity that TLG needs a license from.
  24. She was a main character in the third season and the first representation of Batgirl outside of the comics. I'd say those two facts alone put her high enough on the list to make it into a set. And I'd be seriously angry if the only female hero in that show wasn't included in what will probably be the only set for the show. She's also one of three heroes featured in that show. It would be pretty short sighted to not include her. Plus DC would be skewered if they forgot to include her right after making a big push to include more woman in their products.
