Is It Possible To Reintroduce Old Sets?
Black Falcon replied to SpacePolice89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There are way more afols today though, and also a higher demand for retro sets in general IMO. And if we are looking at the prices you have to pay for used sets in good condition - and actually for both the legends and the original version of the sets, which many are not willing to pay. The question would be in the end though, if they would do them nowadays, how many differences would be to the original ones. If we look back on last years Mysterio-GWP I would say the differences for that one were to big, and it would have benefit if they would have made more modernized version instead IMO. Honestly, for me that would maybe work with some minifigures (such as classic space or older castle minifigures) but I wouldn´t be interested in most of them and actually not in any of the ones displayed. -
Is It Possible To Reintroduce Old Sets?

With how Lego went wrong and how they fixed it you mean when Lego struggled and not legends in particular, I guess? I am pretty sure if they would bring out legends Sets now, they would sell way better than they did back then. However it is very unlikely they would do that now since as already stated they won´t bring retired parts back for this and are already bringing back sets with more or less modernisations. -

Kinda hard to belive it failed that bad as you make it seem. Though surely it was behind their expectations, and I think if they would do this today, there would be a higher demand for it than it was back then. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I mentioned big sets, because I think we will still get GWPs - but I wouldn´t think it is unlikely not to get another castle set next year. Sure all the sets you listed above are Medival based, though I wouldn´t count Viking Sets still, as they are not really castle - though of course surely they attract a similar group of potential buyers. But the greater issue I actually see is that I don´t think Lego considers all those sets as part of one thing. Creator is something different than Adult targeted Sets, so while the Blacksmith would count towards those the creator castle surely doesn´t. But I do think we would rather have to look at castle as part of the Icons themes here, where we got the Lion Knights Castle and the Galaxy Explorer in 2022, the Eldorado Fortress in 2023 and the Medieval Town Square this year. So I would rather think we get Space and /or Pirates next year rather than an other castle Set. Not that I would complain if we would get one anyways. Well the creator castle is the castle that aims for younger fans, though I see why that wouldn´t please you or kids who would get it completely. For me it is just lacking minifigures to be usefull as a playset really. As for the CMF, I would hope they would do that. and when the first rumours about the space series came up I speculated that we would get a castle series for next year, and also one for pirates the year after. Though after it turned out to be part of a several themes thing, I felt it would be less likely to happen. So far I am keeping my hopes low and rather get surprised in a positive way, rather than a negative - and am waiting for the Dungeons and Dragons CMF that comes after the space one. Sure that one doesn´t have yellow minifigs, but it still will have quite a lot usefull parts. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]

They printed the torso then, which already exists now. So they can print the shield for the Wolpack. That doesn´t mean it will have to happen but it is possible at least. -

I still wouldn´t rule a wolfpack tower out, though I would agree that I don´t think they would make a remake in the sense like they did with Eldorado or Galaxy Explorer (and even less like the two Castle GWPs we got before). But I could see them creating a nice looking ruin where the wolfpack is based. In the end I think another castle or an other civilian Set are the least likely options for the next big Set and some kind of hideout for either forestmen or wolfpack doesn´t seem that unlikely. I wouldn´t rule a joust out either and actually we already got many of the parts needed there. We have two factions with Bardings and shields and I could see them including a king and maybe a princess so we would get a royal family and not only the queen from the Castle. But well, maybe Lego surprises us with something completely different next time and we will actually get something smaller for a change, like a Attack on a carriage for instance. Or a witch and a dragon, there are so many possibilities. -
Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Star Wars has way more sets every year that Harry Potter does though, and also is aimed way more to kids (though of course they also do Adult-Oriented Sets. That beeing said, I don´t think they will do Dioramas anytime soon, though I wouldn´t completely rule them out either. I could imagine a Diorama like @Accio Lego mentioned based in the chamber of secrets to work (and sell) quite well, as both the architecture of the chamber itself, aswell as the Basilisk won´t be displayed in such a detailed way as they could do in a diorama. -
I highly doubt that. Since you can see when those packs were packed, it was also easy to see when which codes were printed on them. And only the early manufactured boxes had the small codes, while all the later boxes had the big ones. My guess would be, that since they still need to get shipped to Australia those were made first, resulting in your country having only the small codes. But for this year there shouldn´t be such a thing as small codes (unless Lego changes them again ofc).

1990s Lego Space was best - how to revive Lego Space
Black Falcon replied to Canondorf's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I wouldn´t be so sure about SW not appealing to kids much. However as for Classic Space, kids would surely play just fine with old sets if they are given to them, but I don´t think thoses Sets would have a chance if a kid would be able to choose a set in a store. The question would be how would classic space look if they brought it back now. Similar like they did with the Galaxy Explorer would be likely, and that would be more appealing to kids than if they would make the Sets more true to how they were back then for sure. If they would appeal well enough in the end, is something we could just speculate about. -

Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
My guess would be a GWP based on the Wolfpack Renegades 6038 similar to last years Majisto-Set. And since they don´t need to use the budget on new torso-prints, I would hope they would include a Wolfpack-Shield in the set. As for big Sets, I wouldn´t be surprised if we wouldn´t see a new Set next year (but wouldn´t be surprised if we get one either). I still think a wolfpack tower (6075) wouldn´t be that unlikely. Or maybe they will go the civilian route further and create a mill.Though I don´t think they would make that so close to the Village. -
Well honestly, the first information we got about that set, already made quite clear what we were going to get and what we are seeing now is pretty much what I expected. Though, I would have expected to get classic Space figures, so classic smile and tanks. On the other side that set fits pretty well to the two buyable sets from the extended line, so I actually should have expected to see the figures with other faces. All and all I like the GWP, but might however not get it. I don´t have a orange space-minifigure yet, but I think the threshold will very likely be 150€+ and while I surely still have sets I want to buy, I don´t really have the space and will very likely wait for another gwp.

Which would be the same for all the books you can buy. And honestly I don´t really see the issue here, since they give you an option to download it for free.- 686 replies

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
No and I would rather think it would be more likely to get higher discounts rather than lower ones, since many people that wanted to buy the set might already have done now. We were not down to 400€ here yet (but just a bit above that) and I would be surprised if it doesn´t reach that mark this year. But well, the set beeing exclusive it is possible we won´t see much bigger discounts, though that is just speculation in the end. -

I don´t see why they would make higher discounts just because Barad-Dûr will be revealed. I guess in sweden it is also sold by amazon? We were a few times close to 20% here, so I wouldn´t coun´t on much bigger ones. Best chance on Discounts probably is Black Friday. -
Both moulds obviously look like horses but aside from that, they do look quite different to me, so I don´t think they updated it but made a new one from the scratch. Thank you, I checked on bricklink, but since that ones is called Pony there, I didn´t found it.

It was kinda strange that the first infos said it would be white and orange and brick clicker said yellow and orange anyways. Not that first infos didn´t change in the past but in this case I would have been happy to get the yellow one for sure, but I wouldn´t have put a bet on that rumour. BTW, if he made an error, he should correct it. Would be easy thing to do, but there is no mention about it in the video describtion or the comments.

Jurassic Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well the last post was just wednesday, but I think once there is something to talk about people will do so ;). We always just know when leaks are posted, once they are, so all we can do is wait and see. Anyways, I would guess it won´t be that long, and actually it shouldn´t be that long to the official reveal either. -
Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I could see them doing one next year. As the Theme seems to be doing good still it doesn´t seem that unlikely to me. Also this year we got one normal one, the Space one (though it basically is a normal one too) and then the Dungeons and Dragons which is an anniversary one and had to be this year. So it makes sense that they did D&D now, since HP doesn´t matter if they do it this year or next (or in two years etc.) I also don´t think that, because it was 4 years between the first and the second there would be 4 years between the second and the third again. They will just do it when it suits them. I wouldn´t expect more than max. two new characters anyways but more versions of existing minifigures instead. We had Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Luna and Dumbledore actually appearing in both Series, with Harry appearing twice in the first one. If they would do an third Series I would hope they give it the Disney 100 threatment, since 12 Figures won´t be enough especially when 3 of them will have to be the three main characters already. -
As mentioned in that thread it seems more likely to me that animal moulds won´t get reitred that easily, since they are more likely to get used again at a later time. For instance the chimpanzee we got in the Jane Godall Tribute GWP was last used ten years ago in a CMF and it seems very unlikely they would have made a new mould just for that GWP. Both are new ones and as far as I know the the foal mould we have now is the only foal Lego made in Minifig Size.

Well we did talk about the Stegosaurus in the Jurassic Park/World thread. Personally I don´t see much sense to discuss it in several threads so for me there is no reason to talk about it here, unless I would answer on an other post.

Doesn´t look to me like it would work with a dog, you could surely use it but I am afraid it would just end up looking strange.

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Maybe they consider how likely it is that the mould will be used on the future again. I mean, for many 4+ Parts or special parts designed for cars, especially technic ones I can see why they would do that, since I guess it won´t be that likely to need it again anytime soon. For other parts, like Animal moulds I would guess it does make sense to keep them, since it is more likely to use them again. For example we had the chmpanzee mould in two minifigure series in 2011 and 2012 and it was used again in 2022 for the Jane Godall Tribute. I mean, ther is no way they made a new mould just for that GWP. Well both are quite different though, with one beeing brickbuilt and the other one build from moulded parts. But anyways, I would guess we would see a new smaug if they ever bring him back. -
No and both wouldn´t really be sets I would be interested in as GWPs.

Deutsche Post question - sending LEGO to UK
Black Falcon replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Exactly. Though I think they allow USB sticks and CDs aswell, as they are digital documents. As far as I know it is like that since 2019. Well if all of those are from one seller I would check if he has other parts you are looking for so the sending costs play a smaller role in the overall order.
