1990s Lego Space was best - how to revive Lego Space
Black Falcon replied to Canondorf's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Honestly, I rather have them staying with Icons than Creator. I mean the Castle is no bad Set but three Minifigures for a castle is just a bad joke. Especially with only two knights and the third minifigure beeing some kind of sailor from a few years later. Also Creator has a different building Style and I think the Galaxy Explorer is something that is very unique and I´d rather get more sets like that, actually rather more modernized than less. -

Well, I don´t doubt that, but how long ago was it that we saw the last set showing up with trans neon green? And sure they could have changed the colour in a later phase of the designing process, or better said it is very likely they did that with some sets. But anyways I think Sets take a bit longer to design than CMFs do. -

The question really is why they did that decision. And as long as noone that works for Lego spills the beans (and the question actually is how many even know the reason anyways) we can just speculate, which won´t get us anywhere. However I don´t think that the CMFs were in the work when they made that decision, since it takes some time IMO to let those sets run out first. -
Affordable place to buy old technic stuff?
Black Falcon replied to KoroKoroSquared's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Likely, aside from flee markets, that also need a lot luck, the best would be to try to find the sets you want buying mixed lots, though of course they often don´t come complete and it also would take some work to find lots containing the sets you want. -

I can personally live with everything that looks cool lol. No matter if it is a throwback set or something completely new. Though on the other hand if something doesn´t suit me it is fine too, there are to many good sets from different themes around honestly. As for Ice Planet. Would that work for you if they would to it with transparent orange, now that trans neon isn´t around anymore? I´ve seen many stating that it needs the neon one, but personally I wouln´t mind that much as long as the set in the end looks cool. And acutally I also think the difference between both colours isn´t that big, compared to the same case with M-tron and transparent neon green. Though I would likely have to have the parts in front of me to really compare them. -
Thanks. I usually either try to ignore it if it doesn´t seem important to me or I just google it. Well google didn´t really help in this case.

Well I have to bring it up anyways. Star Wars fans sure want to get Sets that look like the stuff before. And yeah, maybe classic space fans will like the classic space design more than others also. But the thing here is just, you have classic space fans, blacktron fans, those of M-tron, Iceplanet and you will find fans of the other themes aswell. And surely there are also enough fans that do like more than one of them, and wouldn´t mind that much if they get Classic Space or Blacktron for instance. -
No idea what that even means. People here should really try to be a bit less lazy and write things out. I mean I can get why people use it, and with common abbreviations that might work, but considering here are people from all around the world, using them less would actually benefit a lot of people.

Jurassic Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Me neither. I would love if they would bring back the Ankylosaurus for instance, though actually I really like the colour and wouldn´t mind if we would get the exact same one. Sadly he is expensive as hell (almost as expensive as the old goat). But yeah, very unlikely they would do the same colour again, so we can just hope for a new on that isn´t too colourful. As for the T-Rex, that one and the Velociraptors beeing the main Antagonists we have seen many colours of them and I actually wouldn´t mind to get a wave without either of them. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I doubt they will do a new Creator 3 in 1 Set just because the actual one is going to retire. Before that Set came up it they haven´t had stuff like that for quite a while. Though of course they just started to do such sets again not that long ago. How likely Castle would get new Sets is likely also based on how good all the sets avaiable lately are selling but also if Lego does consider it worth to do playsets again or just keeps on concentrating for more adult-orientated ones. And actually how good the City- and Friends-Playsets are selling might also have a play in that. If they even consider it at all, that is. Anyways, I am pretty sure we will still see another castle set this year but that one will only be a gwp. Wouldn´t be surprised to see another space gwp too, actually. -
Well but that is pretty normal for those magazin bags, so I don´t think someone expected something else.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Actually. No it is not. At least not in the sense of a real theme. While at the beginning those themes existed for real, like what we are refering to as classic space or classic castle was just named Space and Castle, later themes were themes on their own and while playing surely in space or in a medieval castle era they were never labled as such. Just as Ninjago is a theme of it´s own in that matter so are Life on Mars, Mars Mission or Knights Kingdom. We shouldn´t forget that the categorization we have on brickset that is quite commonly used today isn´t official, though of course it is quite usefull as you can find all (older) castle Sets quite fast using the Castle Theme there - though you won´t find the newer Set that are under Icons now. One funny point though, there are indeed two newer Castle lines, that were officialle labeled Castle, where one of them is labeled Fantasy Era in Brickset and the other one isn´t listed as an own Subtheme at all and the sets are just all thrown into the Castle theme on their own. -
Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
All the infos we got so far it will be a buildable buckbeak, so I think it is pretty clear here ;). The terrain is very likely just some plates for it to stand on with some decoration, which could look really cool compared to just a figure standing somewhere. -
Jurassic Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Why? I mean nothing against more dinosaurs in general, but I don´t really see the need for several of the same kind in many different colours. I´d rather get more different dinosaurs than multiple of the same kind in different colours. -
Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

Well but exactly that is my point. The video makes it sound like, they bought the license for series since that was still with the Tolkien Estate, but the part of the licensing that is limiting them isn´t even mentioned. -
Jurassic Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah well so far all is just speculation, but as mentioned above I don´t think Chaos Theory is likely, since the sets would be to early then. And TLW is basically the only thing that fits the description and this with both Sets. I don´t think that is a coincidence and the more I think the less likely it seems it will be something else, though of course it stays possible. -
Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Quite interesting, though, there are some things where I am not sure the video is 100% correct. First of all, it is known that the Amazon Series is more limited in what they can do (for instance only the second age) and I am not actually sure if they bought the overall license to make Middleearth-Series but only to make a series in the second age or something. Another thing and this one is more related to this thread, is the licensing. He mentions Merchandise would be licensed through Middle-Earth Enterprises and even pictures Rivendell there. But later in the video he states that the rights for merchandise for the films are at WB/New Line Cinema and even mentions that you need their license for merchandise of the films and the ones of Middle Earth Enterprises if you want to depict things that were not in the films. Now we know Lego couldn´t name Gimlis father in the Set, because he isn´t named as such in the Film and so they clearly only have the WB-License, like we already knew anyways. That beeing said, the video is still quite interesting, but the important thing we were all wondering about is still the contract between Warner and Lego. An other thing I am still wondering about is why Warner can license Merchandise based on their works but in the video it is also said, Amazon might not be able to do it because Merchandise rights are with Embracer. But well sounds like speculation to me anyways and might aswell be some part in any of the licensing contracts (maybe even the one between amazon and New line, who knows) -
Jurassic Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well I don´t agree, there are plenty of other scenes that come to mind, though sure the two they choose are also important scenes. But the T-Rex in San Diego for instance would also be an important Scene, though I also see why they wouldn´t do two T-Rex sets. Anyways there are enough Scenes suitable for future sets, like the capture of the Parasaurolopholus which would also be a cool dinosaur to have. And I think the scene from the begining with the little child and the Compsognathus would make a good polyback. So I hope we will see more next year - and if not, well we might have to hope for 2027 then. And maybe we get JPIII Sets next year, which would also be great. We will see. -

As I said, unless one of the known leakers says something otherwise I wouldn´t expect a moved release date either. -

I would say while surley those things would be possible, they don´t seem very likley to me. The rumour that Barad Dûr was moved to October came up here before, but since neither that or the new source (which might just be based on the other one anyways) seem quite credible, I wouldn´t put to much belive on it unless one of the known leakers mentions something like that. In the end we don´t know anything about license agreement that exist so basically everything we can do is speculate. But it wouldn´t seem actually that unlikely that Lego does have the rights for both LotR, the Hobbit and might even have them for WotR too. In the end Lego wouldn´t be interested that another company would do Sets to either of them, even if they plan to do on LotR-based Sets. But as mentioned, all that is just speculation, and they could have aswell made just one for LotR alone, or even one that has multiple franchises. -

So far there is no release date for Chaos Theory, right? So with not much more than two months left, I would think that they wouldn´t make sets for it before it is released - of course we can´t know, but then TLW really sounds like the more realistic option. I hope we get more sets for it next year though, since two Sets for it aren´t really that much. -
Jurassic Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Well whatever actually Sandy means. For me it would mean tan, but if I understood it right Brick Clicker says in his Video, that it would be Sandy Green colour - though I think Sand green is a terrible colour for a dinosaur. On the other hand he also calls the new Jungle theme Alligator sandy colour and that one IMO is Olive green, so we will have to see. Well since the Bumpy Set surely is based on Camp Cretaceus and the January playset was too, I wouldn´t wonder if the other two Sets would be from that Series too. I haven´t watched it, so can´t say if there is any scene that would fit the set name though. -
Well those City-Sets just look like future-based space and do have aliens. That beeing said, I don´t think Adults do care more about realism than kids to here. Especially when we consider that old space sets had colourful canopys I would expect a colour sheme more based on older sets rather than realistic space and more references towards older Sets if it were designed for actual adults. Sure not every adult had those old sets or Lego at all, but even then I don´t see why Adults wouldn´t like colourful spacesets either, after all Ninjago is really colourful and has a lot adult fans, too. Yeah, I had the same with the pictures of the XL-15 from the Lightyear Movie, the canopy just didn´t look the same like it did on pictures for the Blacktron Cruiser, though it was the same part used. But on the Lightyear set it looked more greenish than actually yellow.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Agreed, especially with how the Theme is worded it sounds like a thread about actual next years castle Sets with actual information about them. When we got first rumours about the space CMF I had the hopes we would get a castle CMF and Pirates CMF for the next years but honestly, when we learned that it was "just" part of an multiple theme space, it seemed less likely to me. I wouldn´t rule them out doing them, especially since they should know that historic figures usually are among the more requested ones but it seems more unlikely that they will do a multiple theme thing, like they did with Space. The only way I could see Castle fitting with City or Friends would be as part of some kind of costume party, a theme park or something similar - which would also contain non-castle Elements, which would make the sets as whole less appealing. That beeing said, if they would like to do such a thing like they did with space this year, I think it would be more likely to do an own theme for it - but overall I think the chances for it happening are still quite low. I would actually disagree with that. While the spring shooters have a straight force forward, siege engines use a more curved trajectory to reach a certain distance and in a playable model you wouldn´t need to use that much force to move the object. Additionally to that the projectiles of the siege engine would be bigger and smaller projectiles such as studs will put their force on just a small area, resulting in more potential damage to that area than when the force would be spread over a bigger area. -
I think you are reading to much into it. Different themes have different colour shemes and they choose to use more realistical colours that are more based on actual existing Spacevehicles for it, making it look like those ships would actually be future spacecraft that were developed based on nowadays spaceships. This also makes sense considering City is a theme that is picturing the actual world though of course they also don´t keep to close to if where needed.
