Which Lumi-Bricks Set exactly do you think kids would love? I am certainly no expert in their products, but so far all sets I have seen are display pieces and you will have to show the kid that would prefer that just because of some lights over a Ninjago/City/Friends set. Also if we are looking into what people write about sets for their kids, there are several reports of parents telling their kids would be able to build sets above their age alone or with little help, or others saying they buy bigger sets to build them together with their kids. But I can´t remember a single one that buys sets for their kid and builds them alone - and I doubt the kid would be happy with their gift if they did. Now if the kid has no fun building the gift will end up unfinished in a box or the parents finishing it - and I doubt when they see that their kid isn´t interested in it they will buy another one.

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
Black Falcon replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I guess you missunderstood my comment. There was no mention about PAB at all. And btw, if we look closely at Gimlis Torso and the one from the Ninjago movie, there are still quite some differences, so it actually isn´t a recolour, but a redesign - apparently they used Gimlis Torso as reference when they designed this figure for the series and then based the torso of this figure from that. Hence they are so similar, but still not the same. -
Unread content? Bugged? Or how to use it?
Black Falcon replied to Kalais's topic in Forum Information and Help
Hi, thanks for the update. But sadly, it only partly helped. While I had had threads that were created in November in the unread content list, none of the topics created this week were shown there. -
Well that was exactly my point, it isn´t the first time this happened. Well, I meant more like a fixed percentage that is added on top (and communicated so everyone knows that the price will be lower in a month or so) Reducing the limit is an other thing I suggsted several times here, though they should set the limit individually from part to part. Like minifig pieces and animals get this limit but more common bricks would be kinda strange if they are limited to such a low number - and with time as the demand decreases, the limit gets raised.

Well it isn´t the first time that prices were reduced there though. Just remember the cow was more expensive at first too and was reduced later on, though not as much as the fox of course. Personally I wouldn´t even complain if they would introduce pieces for a higher starting price in general, to lower the initial demand - especially from sellers - for those people and give more people that want to get them fast a chance to do so.

I doubt that Lego cares just a single bit about the patending of a part they have no need for anyways.

LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
Watch them making a Set where you can actually build all three versions ;). -
I would say that the main cost of pieces with new prints is actually still logistics and not the design of the print - so using existing minifigs wouldn´t really save much costs as they would still have to keep them in production (or bring them back, since Baracuda Bay and Eldorado Fortress are long retired). And then it isn´t just about pirates but Space and Castle would need the same treatment - still of course they could bring them back, if they wanted to - but apparently market research shows that producing something else will be giving them better sales. Which doesn´t mean we will never get those themes back, maybe if they increase the number of sets they are doing every year even further, who knows...
-
Well we will see. If not it won´t make that much difference since they will either be sold out quickly, or more likely, quite expensive anyways.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Black Falcon replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I guess you are not the only one especially since some parts sold out quickly, like some minifig- parts from the Medieval Town square or the tan horse (at least in this region). And yeah, I´ve spend way to much too, but in the end I was hoping for some parts to get cheaper, so I still saved a lot compared to what I would have spend else - and probably over several, smaller orders, buying more in total. But since there was no GWP I was really that interested in this year, I didn´t made those orders, but on the other side missed some parts that were already gone now. -
That one is supposed to be added somewhen this year, but no info on the exact date IMO. Well the info people got from Skaerback was it would be added in the fourth quarter, so it should be added then ;).

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I don´t think the chances for the figs are all that bad. So far we have even had the Orange Spacemen in PAB even though it was exclusive to a Book and later a GWP and Insiders reward. And even if it doesn´t show up you still got plenty of time to buy it from Bricklink then and likely for a cheaper price as the set is more likely to go on higher discounts with time. -

Black Falcon replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
You would have been much cheaper with PAB, but likely they will sell out fast, so you would have to wait some more probably, till they are stable in stock - so if it is worth for you to get them now instead of having to wait I guess it is just fine ;). -
It is not only animals but just overall retireing parts that were discounted, same as they did last year, though I think it happened sooner this time.

Is the medieval theme as popular as it used to be?
Black Falcon replied to plastic-man's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Which isn´t a that unusual lifespan though and beeing a single set of the second wave (if we are not counting the Paperbag) it isn´t really surprising. Eitherway I am glad we got it, because a bigger ship was really what was missing in the first wave. The creator Castle is said to retire 2028, which of course doesn´t mean it can´t retire sooner (or even later) since those dates seem to move more lately anyways. I actually doubt we will see more official Sets with either Krakens or Gryphons though. Well hopefully it does. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Haha, well it will be literally the time to get it now, since I doubt it will last long. Actually I wouldn´t wait till morning to order it. -

List of Insiders Week Sales leaked at the usual places, likely not final, but the Lion Knights Castle better is on sale everywhere this time and not only in the US again. -
Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, might not be complete anyways, and normally more Sets go on discount on Black Friday rather than Insiders days, so some smaller Sets could follow. And the big ones that are going to retire are already sold out here anyways. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Castle also had an Ideas Set ;). I wouldn´t be surprised if we get a new Castle next year - and if not, I would still belive we will be getting at least one Set each year for either Castle/Pirates/Space - though of course they could also go with another theme and make an Adventurers Set for instance. The serpent GWP is really something I am looking forward to, this year I was waiting for a Castle GWP all year and now we only getting that Micro-builds, that are honestly kinda disappointing. But on the bright side, as Lion Knights and Wolfpack aren´t retiring next year it seems like we are going to get at least a GWP or Insider reward including them (Castle Tic Tac Toe maybe ;) ...) if not a full Set. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Well Vikings got their own theme, but in the end only because of the time when they released it and the sets were directly branded with an own theme unlike they were back in the times. In the end I don´t really see much difference between the Viking and the Ninja line, with actually the Vikings making more sense to appear in a castle line as they had more to do with knights historically. So yeah, I think whether you want to see Vikings and Ninjas as a Castle theme or not, either is fine I guess. What bothers me more actually, is that todays castle Sets are all listed under the icons line. Which is an obvious choice of course, but if you want to look up castle Sets now, you will be missing the Forestmen Hideout, Lions Knight castle, Medieval Town Square and Majisto. And actually, I wouldn´t be sure if the GWPs actually even belong officially to the Icons line. And same goes for Lord of the Rings btw. You now have to look in different Themes if you want to find them, which is IMO one of the many flaws of that site, it would need a feature where you can just List all castle Sets from different themes for instance. But well... -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Black Falcon replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Fits perfectly in this group (since, despite the name, it is basically the common PAB thread) and I think its interesting what other people order. And there are quite some pieces I haven´t even seen yet (the transparent Samurai Swords, the white red and titanium(?) pieces above the earth blue spacemen helmets (hairpieces I guess?) and then above the hair pieces which looks like scarfs that could originate from Ninjago or Dreamzz. etc) -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Well if we go by todays standarts, it would have to be a subtheme of Lego System. ;) As System, Legoland etc were the official themes of that time ;) -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Because nowadays people just go with how Brickset has themes put together really. Personally I would have sorted them into an own Subtheme, but in the end it doesn´t really matter. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Black Falcon replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I said noone questioned them, not that noone guessed they would make them ;). And again, the statement about Apple TV was only about their overall viewership, not single viewers. And in total numbers compared to Netflix, Amazon and Disney, it is just rather small. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Black Falcon replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Aside from Super Mario, which I played on the good old Gameboy (the one they just made a Set of) I am on the same page - well and I think I watched the first Transformers film, but I don´t really remember much about that one. Eitherway. It isn´t about whether I know the Freggles, but I just don´t think they are overall well known/Iconic enough for a CMF. The examples you mentioned are actually good ones, since while I have no interest in any of them (aside of, again Mario, where I got the buildable Bowser) they seem more Iconic or well known than the Freggles to me. And still, I wouldn´t think all of them would be suitable for a CMF, especially Seinfield. Though, to be honest, F1 would have been among them and yet here we are ;).
