This is a cool head canon! Now it's mine, too.

I love the look of this set and think the asymmetry is the best part about it. I've seen the word "industrial" thrown around and I think it's a great descriptor, I love the function over form vibe the faction has while still looking 80s edgy. There are too many symmetrical vehicles already so it's nice to see something a bit different. One of the best things about Lego is if you want something done a bit differently then you can do that!

I can definitely see the inspiration. Robo-Guardian is one of my favourites and this is really good!

Love it! Kinda cute.

We got an M:Tron CMF this year. That's more than what many older themes can say.

[Poll] What is Your Favorite Space Faction (1978-1999)
Autumn replied to SpacePolice89's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Thanks! Was as simple as you first said. I'll try it out sometime. -

You might have to explain that a bit better. You apply it to the tape in water, then to the minifig? Won't it still be wet? How does it dry? -
[Poll] What is Your Favorite Space Faction (1978-1999)
Autumn replied to SpacePolice89's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Yeah, I do know about those. Should have mentioned that I'm annoyed by the inconsistency because each one is different, including the Space Police CMF: Would be nice if they settled on one and made a bunch more colours. I used to do that sometimes when I was little! I've heard slide decals can look better which I've wanted to give a go as well. -

Or not feel like we're missing out because we don't have money to spend anyway. I'll take that at least -

Futuron. Me and my brother when we were little use to populate starships with crews with ranks based on suit colours.. Had lots of fun with them. I wish TLG would make reissues including new colours similar to how they do with CS astronauts. -
Agreed! Very well made! The branches around the edge of the face do well to simulate the fur.

If Lego were to reboot the Adventurers theme...
Autumn replied to lifeinplastic's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Hmm, don't really remember how I missed that and made such an assumption. Anyway... For a few months I've been making notes of minifigure parts and ways to mix and match and (in a somewhat purist manner) modify them to recreate modernised versions of some characters, mostly from the first two waves. I've got the CMF Johnny and recreated Kilroy and Pippin who I'm happy with, but I've been holding off on buying parts for other characters because I want to believe that an Adventurers revival is imminent. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion

The astronomer kid looks like they might just have dual-molded arms to me. The pteranodon costume fan is about what I expected from the series, they look pretty fun. The sand blue colour is a good pick and I like the wings but I'm wondering if the legs will be different too. Same for the boogeyman. I want to see what's on the book cover! I'm still hoping the steampunk inventor has something cool to use for Adventurers but can't see much. -
Very menacing looking! Massive improvement from the previous version.

Liquid chrome marker for repairing chromed Lego pieces?
Autumn replied to johnnytifosi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's quite impressive actually. In the first picture, the piece on the bottom right looks a bit scuffed compared to the others. Is that because it's a worn original chrome piece, or is it because of how the chrome marker was applied? -
Maybe you found something special? I couldn't find it in that colour either. Is there any unique lettering on it that might indicate it's a test or prototype piece? FF is used on prototype pieces sometimes, for example.

That's a nice and unique design for Futuron, looks like it hops across the terrain. I would maybe have the astronaut sit a little bit higher, he looks like he's struggling to see over the rim!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
Autumn replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The Pterodactyl Costume Fan sounds fun! I really like all the dinosaur costumes. Also as an Adventurers fan I can't help but think about opportunities to reuse minifig parts, so the Steampunk Inventor sounds like it has potential. Look forward to seeing pictures. -
Besides the obvious in the first picture... this is a nice example that shows it looks good in a tribal theme. If I was to do it myself I would include some similar colours on the rest of the figure though to make it fit a little better, like the hands or waist. Pearl gold but not sure what the other is... sand green?
