The 1x1 round tile that make the floodlights on the Land Rover in 77264 would be suitable for pretty much any kind of vehicle, trucks, planes, boats, you name it.

No? Lego space evolved over twenty years up until the late 90s, from Classic Space, Blacktron, M-tron, Spyrius, UFO, Insectoids. Even offshoots like Rock Raiders or Aquazone. Nobody's saying they have to only do Classic space. I'd love to see what a proper modern space theme similar to Ninjago or Dreamzz even. Be adventurous! Give us some starships, fighters, stations, crawlers, and bases with cool designs and play features! Visit colourful planets or stars! City Space is far too tame and plays it too safe. There's so much they could do outside the constraints of licensing with all the parts, colours and techniques that have been developed since then. And you're right, Lego should evolve, because they've been churning out Star Wars for nearly thirty years now. How about another analogy? You like a film director who once made some of your favourite movies and classics from a place of passion. Every one was unique and took told a different story with captivating characters. Now they do souless cinematic multiiverse movies and tv for Disney because that's where the money is. Maybe you'll get lucky to still see a decent original movie from them once a decade. That is a good and more concise way of describing it and I share the same sentiment. I don't really have an inherent problem with licensing either. There can and should be space for both but the balance feels skewed towards licenses. I can still look at UCS models and be impressed, praise this, critique that. This is how it seems with almost everything nowadays, yeah. It's all one big conglomerate with almost no room for independent or original ideas anymore. Just do what's always been done because it's been proven to make money. I can definitely agree that Lego wouldn't fare well without Star Wars. Even if Bionicle saved Lego, Star Wars keeps them afloat. I just wish they capitalised on that more outside of profits and staying in business and instead fund the creativity of more artists, designers and storytellers. Maybe they're just too big to do things how they used to with one-offs or subthemes. Nowadays it seems you need something that has longevity that will sustain popularity for years.

You could see TLG as an artist who used to make original creations that you loved (and still do) but now they mostly just do remakes and covers of other artists' work. They had their own universe, lore and world building, now there's hardly any of that. You would buy Lego for Lego themes and stories, now you buy Lego for their version of someone else's. There will always be some nostalgia and rose-tinted glasses, of course, but original themes made Lego, Lego for me before Star Wars came along. It used to be unique and now it's ruined by TLG catering to habitual collectors who would probably be better off getting action figures or a scale model because that's where most of the profits are. How many gray ships do we need? How many times do we need to refine the same character's design over and over, year after year? *Sigh* Or maybe I'm just old and not with it. Times and trends change.

Neat! Definitely feels like it fits. Did you consider using "Norbert" instead of a baby t-rex? It's period accurate and sand green would be the most suitable colour to match the China accents or even black.

Looks nice, but I've always interpreted "passage" to mean "trial" or "test" here and not a literal entrance or tunnel.

Me and my brother used to do that to make our own minifigures when we were young. I think you could also just add a wrinkle or two on the other side. Drawing a simple short, curved line should be easier. You have me wanting to get this torso to try it out now.

Nice idea, but I'd like it more if her right side didn't look like it was missing details without the badges. It feels unbalanced with no other pocket or wrinkles. I took a screenshot and quickly erased the pocket in paint and think it's somewhat better, but now it's a bit bare and it would be better still if there were possible to have two pockets.

Good choice for elements. The angles give it a villainous look without being too over the top. I particularly like the mudguards and the 2x4 slope for the hood. On a sidenote, the Adventurers cockpit is possibly my favourite Lego piece and was last used in 2021. There's a very real possibility TLG will retire the mold next year

How many antennas are there? I count about five antenna in total. It's a nice mostly-symmetrical design. Can the technic panels on the outside be moved to allow better access to the interior?

I miss the old grays but it's just nostalgia. The new bluish grays are simply superior, same with reddish brown and the new trans black. Sometimes I wonder if it really made a difference and Lego would still be as good with the old colours. We had tons of Lego stolen by movers when my mum moved home in 2009. It ranged from the late 70s that was my older siblings' to the early 00s that belonged to me and my brother. I'm still sad about it. I'm a bit obsessive about things aging or getting ruined so I definitely do my best to protect Lego from sunlight. Not too bothered about dust but still give it a dusting now and again with a soft brush.

I've taken a look at my cookies, even completely reset them and every time I open up Bricklink it asks me for my cookie preferences, date of birth, and a verification code to log in. Every time I open a new page or tab it wants my cookie preferences again even after I've logged in. It's so irritating.

That would be why then! It's been a long time since I watched that movie.
